Too hot, no problem, the laundry mat was cool inside. I would say and this is not reflexive on Megawave but customers should be more considerate and not leave their laundry in machines unattended for hours. That can be irritating when it is a busy day. Overall experience has been great.

Not sure whether the largest washers in this laundromat match up to our even surpass the ones at nearby Suds, which had operating issues the owner had no intention of fixing, according to an employee who himself got fed up with attempting to feed $9 into the coin slot that jammed up with every single quarter. Had left the last place with damp items after the attendant was impatient to close after assuring I'd be given time to dry everything considering the fiasco that led to the late start to the wash. But the machines here work, the space is very clean, the overall feel and function were thoughtfully designed, and the technology modern: No more coin jamming! Overall win.

The washer and dryer rates are fine- not horrible. If you're washing blankets or a larger load- unfortunately there are only 2 big washer (for $4.50 each). There is a decent amount of seating area (mainly stools). There are two charge machines to get quarters and an ATM next door at Joe's Market. Overall I think the best thing here are the FAST DRYERS- literally every time just 3 quarters or 21 minutes is enough time for a load for me, so it's a major time saver. Joe's is located on Como Ave near the U of M area so often times you'll find students there. I've seen this place both clean and messy, so I think it just depends on the time you go. There is free WiFi but it's a bit spotting (even when I'm the only one using it sometimes). There is one gender neutral restroom and a super small parking a lot in the back, otherwise just street parking in the front. Only downside is that often times we see random people who like to walked through here to use the restroom...which to me is kind of annoying but I like how I could head next door to Joe's market to grab a snack while I'm waiting and just ignore people.

I then decided to start sending my sheets in because it's difficult for me to wash and fold king sheets by myself. I like getting my sheets back folded and wrapped in plastic to put in my linen closet until I need them. I did ding a star because they washed a quilted bedspread and it shrunk quite a bit, to a queen-sized spread. I just put it on a different bed.

It is also in a good location for me (between home and work) so I can stop by without going out of the way. The people are always friendly and fast. I am not sure why more people are not going here. The management here is so wonderful. I had some clothes that didn't have a care label and they followed up a few times (I didn't answer the first time...woops!) to get my consent to clean them. Additionally they offer fast turn around...you can even do same day if you drop them off by 10am! This is definitely my go to now.

Total strangers were greeting me and asking how I was. Not only that, but the people who work here are super sweet too! I had half a dozen 13 gallon trash bags full of clothes and was slowly bringing them in. One of the employees held the door for me and then grabbed the other two bags I had left next to my car. The price for washing and drying seems to be typical of most laundromats. There are tons of machines to chose from. They have top-loading and front-loading commercial washing machines. The smallest washer starts at $2.00. The most expensive machine is GIGANTIC and costs $17.50. I went with the second largest machine, which costs $9.50 for a regular wash and $11.50 if I want to do "Super Cycle." I was able to fit about 4 of my large trash bags in each machine (only filling it half way) and then transferred those loads to the big dryers that cost $3.50 base fee and 25c for every 2 additional minutes. I find it most economical to start with the large dryer for 50 minutes and then finish anything that's still damp in the stacked dryers for $1.00. I have got to say that the best part about this whole place is that they have incredibly convenient hours. They are open from 6am to Midnight Monday through Saturday and are open from 5am to Midnight on Sunday. I've been lucky enough to come during the day when hardly anyone is there, so I get a ton of clothing washed in practically no time at all. Having a token machine on premise helps a great deal too. I don't usually carry quarters (which the machines take), so being able to turn my money into tokens (which the machines also take) was incredibly helpful and made me feel a bit safer since there isn't cash on hand.
