When we arrived -- 15 minutes early, by the way -- and told the host about our reservation, he looked completely shocked. He denied ever receiving a reservation call. I showed him my call log (see attached screenshot), which clearly shows we called the correct number. He admitted he was the only man working the phones and that it was indeed the right number -- but still insisted no reservation had been made. Even though the restaurant had empty tables, he refused to seat us, was incredibly rude, and paid us no attention while continuing to serve others. No apology at all. No effort to resolve anything. Just left us standing there. Absolutely absurd and laughable experience. Never again.

I must say it was a fabulous steak, cooked medium, so had a little pink inside. There was a crisp exterior with soft interior, packed with meaty beefy flavour (as expected!), and I took the time to really enjoy it. The spring rolls weren't that great though. Too much pastry and not enough filling. After the steak, I decided to have a dessert. My all time favourite is warm chocolate cake with ice cream and there it was on the dessert menu, so I ordered it! The dessert was ok, chocolatey and warm, but there was something about the cake that didn't seem right to me. It was bitty. It didn't say on the menu that it was bitty. The vanilla ice cream was nice and complimented the cake. Overall it was a good experience. The service was also good and friendly and the waiters looked smart. Although it was a great main, the starter and dessert was average, so this barely managed 4 stars! If you're a meat lover, then having a steak at this place is definitely well worth it. I'll definitely make another trip and try out the other dishes on offer and maybe prop it up to 5 stars if I get a good starter and/or dessert.
