I've had a really good experience with Dr. Emily at Mayo Chiropractic. Best chiropractor I have ever had. Dr mayo and her other chiropractors are truly gifted and amazing. I have a job that's very hard on the body and they always puts me back together. I have been seeing Dr Emily for a number of years now for various complaints that accompany my old age. I have suffered from a bad back for decades. Emily aligned my spine and ribs and put be on a programme of stretching which ultimately alleviated all of my back pain. The stretching she taught me has become a constant and when I have issues with my wrists and fingers, I know Emily will deal with them and put me on the right road. The fact you are considering seeing a chiropractor indicates you understand that much of good health is not asking for a pill that fixes you. You need to be invested in your own wellbeing and put in the work that's needed to help yourself. Emily is one of my trusted guides on that journey. At 75 I feel much more healthy than I did at 65. Fewer aches and pains, greater freedom of movement. I see Emily weekly and benefit from doing so. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin at Mayo Chiropractic for about a year, and the care they offer is life-changing. I first met Dr. Emily at San Diego Pride in 2024 when she was doing free spine checks. I struggle with bouts of chronic pain in my neck, back, hips, basically everywhere. She listened to me, took my complaints seriously, and was able to help me understand what was happening with my body even in our first meeting. With regular visits, things have become so much more manageable -- especially with a team that genuinely cares about my wellbeing. Dr. Emily checks me head to toe every week and I always leave feeling better, especially with my stubborn shoulder/collarbone issue that acts up when I sleep. I can't recommend Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin enough. read more

Dr. Emily is not only a fantastic chiropractor but also an amazing person. You'll love coming to the office because of its incredibly relaxing atmosphere. I've been seeing Dr. Emily for regular adjustments over the past 3 months, and I can't believe I didn't start sooner. I used to experience a weird popping noise in my chest due to asthma, along with a slight tightness. Thanks to her care, my lungs feel like they can fully expand, and that chest popping is gone--turns out it was just gas escaping! Dr. Emily's recommendations for side sleeping have improved my sleep, and starting Magnesium and Immune supplements has truly enhanced my overall quality of life. I'm so grateful for the positive changes and can't recommend her enough! read more

I am so grateful that I found Mayo Chiropractic. I was in a strange accident where a (larger) friend of mine sat on my foot with a camping stool and caused a significant amount of soft tissue damage in my foot and ankle. 5 months after being told that it was not broken and would heal in 3 weeks, I was still unable to walk more then a mile without pretty significant pain. As a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast, I have had plenty of injuries but this was easily one of the most frustrating, "bang your head at the wall" type of injuries to solve. With all of my lifelong injuries in mind, this one took me out of everything I loved to, longer than anything else. After working with another health professional I trust, I was referred to Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin. I had seen chiropractors before but I did not necessarily see how a chiropractor was going to help solve my foot/ankle injury. Nevertheless, I had nothing to lose so I gave it a shot. They both not only helped get back on my feet and finally find a sense of optimism about my health again, but they enabled me the knowledge to better understand what my body is telling me, and in turn, I feel much more equipped to 1. Listen to my body and 2. Create better habits in my life through this newfound understanding which in turn will have a positive impact on me for the rest of my life. They aren't both just great doctors that challenge the status quo of how long and painful of a process injuries have to be, but they are both great people. They built a great practice where you step in the door and you are already more at peace. Im not one to write reviews, but Mayo Chiropractic deserves it. I am so appreciative of them for getting back on my feet and I hope this review encourages others who are on the fence to take a leap of faith because it might just improve how you feel for the rest of your life! read more

If you are like me, you've seen several chiropractors over the course of your life. But even if you haven't, I'd recommend Dr Emily at Mayo Chiropractic. I find it amazing at how well she identifies and addresses skeletal issues at every visit - some that I identify and others that she finds as she does a complete body scan. I started treatment for a knee injury, but also regularly have adjustments to the spine, neck, wrist, ankle, shoulder - you name it. I am 65 and pre-arthritic so comprehensive care is a must. She treats patients holistically at their level of need, and has shared numerous exercise videos with me to help me improve self-care and prevention. Always a joy to visit and most importantly I have been able to cancel planned surgery on my knee! read more

I'm so impressed by Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin! I started visiting their practice in October after I met them at a wellness fair. In September and November, I had whip lash symptoms after being rear-ended multiple times within a short timespan. Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin helped me heal more quickly from these injuries and have taught me a lot about how I can prevent future injuries. Today, I continue to see them weekly because it's important for me to take good care of my body as a part-time yoga teacher. From helping me discover what parts of my body need more strengthening or support, to providing helpful videos and tips to help me have better posture -- both doctors have helped me address old and new injuries with care and compassion. I always leave their practice feeling refreshed, strong, and empowered to continue taking care of my body. The office staff, especially Nae, have helped me immensely as well. Since I initially saw the doctors after auto accidents, I had to request paperwork to share with my insurance. Nae always responded to my requests promptly and helped me get everything ironed out. I'm happy to recommend Dr. Emily and Dr. Erin to anyone in my network, especially anyone who has suffered an injury or need continuous support due to a physically demanding job. read more

I love the attention to detail from the staff at the Mayo Chiropractic in Pacific Beach, San Diego. My main issue was a sliding hiatal hernia and it's healing quickly with their expertise - they even assist with my jaw (TMJ) which has had issues for years, along with aligning my pelvis which has been a cause of some many ailments and now everything is healing!!! Two awesome chiropractors include Emily and Charlie. The office staff is super nice - they even send rehab videos to do on your own, and there is a chill waiting area. There is side and back parking lot off Garnet Ave - close to La Jolla, PB and Mission Beach. Happy healing! read more

Mayo Chiropractic has a drastically different feel, and has radically transformed the chiropractic experience for me! There's an amazing energy that you can feel the moment enter and remove your shoes. My past chiropractic visits were prompted by sport injuries, and car/motorcycle accidents, and they all had the usual "doctor's office visit" feel. This is the first time seeking chiropractic care as part of a personal wellness initiative. Choosing to come to Mayo Chiropractic blew my mind when after my very first visit, Dr. Charlie restored neck movement; including lateral neck flexion, and increased horizontal neck turning radius, that I lost over 20 years ago. Ah, the amazing Dr Charlie, "La crème de la crème"! It's hard to translate and articulate the experience because it goes beyond the physical realm. Dr Charlie has the uncanny ability to know exactly where treatment is needed during each visit; if my hip is bothering me, that's exactly where she goes without being prompted! However, it's the amazing, transformative feelings induced by her care that's hard to quantify. I'm of the opinion that choosing Mayo Chiropractic as part of a personal wellness plan, you will find that the experience at Mayo Chiropratic will surpass your best expectations; in expected and unexpected ways! This place is transformative! read more

Dr. Emily was highly recommended to me for prenatal adjustment and she did not disappoint. I'm going once a week and my pelvic pain and rib pain is significantly better and I feel much more aligned. I'm so thankful I found her as I was starting my 3rd trimester as the adjustments and stretches she's given me are helping tremendously! Everyone in the office is amazing and super kind and helpful! read more

Very knowledgeable, welcoming and all around helpful staff! I came across Mayo Chiropractic at their booth at the San Diego Pride festival and right away Dr. Emily let me know all the help she could provide for my back pain, fixing posture, and even JAW PAIN! And from the first consultation, results that my hip was misaligned causing one leg to be longer than the other. Amazing find! Since the festival I have been going with Dr. Emily twice a week, as well as practicing with stretches and strengthening exercises I can do at home that have all greatly improved my back, posture, hip, and jaw issues. Only my first month in and have already made great progress. I highly recommend going in for a consultation then the follow up appt, you will not regret adding Mayo Chiropractic to your wellness routine! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Emily for almost a month now and I'm absolutely amazed at how quickly I feel a difference in my overall body. I suffer from chronic neck and shoulder pain from years of overuse as a farmer. I have more mobility in my shoulders then I've had in years. She also is able to give in-depth knowledge of the body and it's structural composition in an easy to understand way. I'm pretty sure Dr. Emily is the best thing since sliced bread. If you're questioning whether you should set up an appointment with her, go ahead and do yourself a favor. You'll thank me later. read more

Both Dr. Emily and Dr. Charlie came highly recommended from a close friend. I stopped chiropractic care a few years ago and have always been weary of returning to it; Mayo Chiropractic is exactly what I was looking for. They subscribe to a more holistic approach and a strong ethos of healing. I have suffered from chronic back pain, tightness, injuries for most of my adult life; after a month of care I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I have felt this good physically! Cannot recommend Mayo Chiropractic more to my friends and family! read more

Dr. Charlie has completely changed my life. I've been going to chiropractic's since I was 20 ish and never had any lasting relief, and to the point of not wanting to go to because of the adjustments causing more pain than necessary. Charlie's knowledge, caring, and understanding is phenomenal. She is gentle, to the point, and her supplement recommendations have helped immensely. I haven't had a back spasm since I started her care 6 months ago nor have I needed ibuprofen which I used to take daily. 10/10 recommend. read more

My experience with Dr. Emily and her staff has been top-notch. From the initial booking, ongoing scheduling, and text reminders (Thank you!) they have made it a seamless experience. Dr. Emily is extremely gentle and patient and happy to explain every little thing she is doing. I was more than happy with her adjustment style, and the relief I have experienced has been amazing. As a completely unexpected bonus, I was unaware that your skull joints can be off-balance which affects your sinus cavities. After a bad break years ago my nose is always stuffy and I was amazed that she was able to help me clear that up. I had no idea that was possible. If you've been thinking about giving Chiro a try, or it's been a while, definitely give Dr. Emily a visit. read more

I've been coming to Mayo Chiropractic for about a year now. First started with Dr. Charlie who has since left and now I see Dr. Emily. I originally came in for arm numbness which has subsided and now I get regular weekly adjustments. Dr. Emily and staff are very welcoming and always have a smile on their faces. Very knowledgeable and fix any issue I may be having that week (low back pain, headaches, thumb pain) as well as emailing exercises to work on as needed. I feel very well taken care of at this practice and highly recommend! read more

Dr.Emily was quick to respond to the email I sent her requesting information for my 2 month old baby. My baby had been suffering from constipation, hard stool, for 2 weeks. Because he was exclusively breast-fed his pediatrician and lactation consultant didn't have a good answer as to why he was constipated. We met with Dr. Emily on Monday and she did some adjustments on baby. Immediately I noticed improvements, we saw her again on Tuesday and that day he poop twice. What a relief our baby was back to being happy. She also helped with his latch and his head posture. - fast response - communication via email or text - affordable - parking on side or back of building - friendly and knowledgeable - clean and inviting office read more

Mayo Chiropractic - Dr.Emily - Chiropractors Near Me - San Diego, California

A community oriented business! Emily and Charlie are both phenomenal chiropractors. They have a style that remind me of getting adjusted in Japan. Very thorough and effective but also not very subtle. I have had shoulder pain and lower back pain that Dr Emily has helped with immensely. Their pricing structure is exceedingly reasonable. read more

Wowwww did I need this holistic style of chiropractic care more than I realized! 10/10 would recommend for any body with any need. I'll share my experience thus far... and keep reading if mental health / trauma is a vulnerability of yours. About 2 months ago I went in to be assessed for really bad upper back/neck pain, and a muscle strain under my shoulder blade from a work injury. I immediately felt cared for with their explanations and sensitive approach during the assessment, and gained relief each session I had. In the beginning I switched between both chiropractors who both had the same focus for me, but slightly different styles each session which was really enjoyable and allowed me to expedite my learning and self awareness of not only my physical health, but mental and emotional health. After multiple sessions with Dr. Charlie, I have a new appreciation for discovering what her practice does for me--it brings me openness, mentally, physically and emotionally to handle the stress of day to day life a bit better each time. I hold stress in my body, and through her work on me I've felt my resiliency and mindfulness improve with the body-awareness I've gained through her practice. If I did not commit to multiple sessions as I have, I do not think I would have healed and discovered openness the way I have. As someone who began looking for a chiropractor for immediately relief, I was opened to so much more healing that I realized I needed by seeing Dr. Charlie, she is very in tune with channeling what the body needs. Both chiropractors are incredible, lovely culture and energy in their office. read more

I can't say enough good things about Emily and her staff! I was referred to her office a couple of years ago after a cycling accident and returned recently for Sciatica pain. Overall, it has been a very positive experience. I highly recommend! read more

My parents suffered from a severe car accident several years ago and were too afraid to make use of the covered chiropractic services they could have received for free (other party was at fault) to help with recovery. My mom always thought, if it was slowly getting better, than that was good enough. After hearing about the impact, I had pushed for them to get care where they live, in Dallas, but they were just not open to it at all. It had been 5 years already and my mom still had a significant amount of head/neck/back pain and limited movement. I heard about Emily's chiropractic work through a yoga friend. My buddy specifically said that Emily was very gentle and would do well at making my parents feel at ease. I was hoping that if my parents saw her during their SD visit, perhaps they would even open up to regular chiropractic care when they returned to Dallas. Upon entering Emily's practice, we noticed the office felt quite serene. There was a nice waiting area, children's play area, and very comfortable chiro tables she did her work on. Throughout the entire adjustment she explained to us what she was measuring/observing and then her plan of action, always checking in with my mom if she thought it was OK making sure to stay within her comfort zones. Surprisingly, it was so relaxing my mom nearly dozed off when she was laying on her stomach. Emily wrapped up the session with rubbing some essential oils onto her tight trap muscles. Needless to say, they were looking forward to coming back for a second visit a few days later before they left San Diego. On the second visit, after another adjustment Dr. gave several exercises, stretches, massage techniques to take home and even gave my dad some tips on how he can help massage/stretch her problem areas. One of the things my mom had trouble with was raising one of her arms past halfway. After Dr. finished the first treatment my mom could raise it 50% higher! My dad and I could not believe how instantaneous the results were and kept talking about how Emily had "miracle hands". By the end of the second visit my mom could raise her arm completely to the top, as high as the other. It was great to witness such an immediate fix with my mom's body and gave my parents assurance that Emily definitely knew what she was doing. My parents are no longer skeptics and are finally on path to quicker recovery thanks to Dr. Mayo! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Emily for quite a few years now. She first helped me through some longstanding sports injuries and now has been helping my body stay aligned through my second pregnancy. I had a ton of lower back pain at the beginning of this pregnancy, but after I started seeing Dr. Emily weekly, my back pain has significantly improved and I believe she is part of the main reason I've been able to stay active and also take care of my 2 years old throughout this pregnancy so far. She's also helping my body get aligned and ready for labor which I'm very grateful for. I would definitely recommend her as part of your prenatal care! read more

Dr. Emily at Mayo Chiropractic is the amazing. I came in initially for a displaced rib, and in the process of treatment have found revitalizing relief and the path to complete recovery in the care of this office. Not only have they tended to my injured rib, but have also helped me optimize so many other aspects of my wellbeing, such as migraine support and hip alignment! They are deeply knowledgeable about the human body on many levels, walk you though the entire procedure, explaining what and why they do what they do, and make each session super personalized and well-rounded. I would highly recommend Dr. Emily and the entire team at Mayo Chiropractic for any of your holistic healthcare needs. read more

Dr. Emily is magic. Without any input from me she always finds the spots that have been bothering me that week. Without fail she identifies and addresses all issues, big and small. Her adjustments are comprehensive and effective. Dr. Emily takes the time to do a full body analysis, leaving no stone unturned. Beyond the adjustments, her bedside manner is the perfect balance of professional/personal and educational. I leave each visit feeling refreshed and motivated to do the take home exercise and stretches she recommends. 11/10 recommend. We have a 1 year old who loves the kid play zone set up in the corner of the office. She receives her adjustments from Dr. Emily while playing with the Hot Wheels, barely even noticing that she's getting worked on. Dr. Emily is magic. Bonus: Dr. Emily's staff is super helpful and efficient. Double bonus: the office is really conveniently located in East PB and there is ALWAYS parking available in the lot. read more

I honestly had no idea how much this would drastically change the way I sleep, drive, sit, and just function in my daily life. Even being a yogi prior, I've become so much more aware of my body's balance thanks to Emily. The issues I had with my low back have improved drastically, but it has proven to be so much more than that. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has my full trust. Not to mention, Sky, the front desk staff, is the sweetest and friendliest human. I look forward to my weekly visits here! read more

I badly subluxated a rib in September of 2020 and it felt like I had a knife stuck in my back for two weeks. After acupuncture, cupping, two other chiropractor offices and an ER visit, I finally found Mayo Chiropractic and that initial visit brought immediate relief. After working with these incredible ladies (Dr. Maddie and Dr. Emily) for about a year, I am much improved. Today, if I feel a rib slipping out of place, I know just what exercises to reset it - and if it is too much for me, I know exactly where to go to get help. Highly recommend! read more

I am 7 months pregnant and have been going to Dr. Emily for the past few months. I can't tell you what a difference it has made in my physical capabilities and comfortability! Before seeing Emily my back was constantly bothering me (likely mostly due to the excess of the hormone relaxin when pregnant). Even though I was physically fit, working out, and making sure my core was strong, the relaxin causes your ligaments and joints to loosen up, making it much more likely to become mis-aligned. So I still found myself with consistent back pain. So seeing Emily every week for re-alignments has helped tremendously. I don't know what I would do without her! Emily is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly how to work with pregnant women. When you're pregnant and in such a physically-different state than you're used to, it's amazing to know that you're in the best of hands! read more

Dr Mayo is a life saver! I have had chronic shoulder pain for 10+ years and after seeing her I am virtually pain free! I am also an emergency room nurse, and 12 hrs straight of lifting, standing, pushing, and pulling takes a real toll on my body. I thoroughly enjoy seeing her once a week to realign me after my tough shifts. I also appreciate how informative she is and how she doesn't just "crack my back" which was my experience with a previous chiropractor. She provides stretches to help keep my body in alignment and gives gives suggestions on breathing techniques, nutrition, and explains why one area may be misaligned so we can come up with a plan to fix the problem instead of just coming in for adjustment after adjustment. 5 starts because of location, cost, and most importantly quality of care! read more

I have been a patient with Dr. Emily for almost 3 years now. I originally came to her when I had major back pain and couldn't get rid of it. I tried everything from Massage, stretching, and even acupuncture and it was not getting better. I went to Dr. Emily and she provided care in a way no other chiropractor had done before. She knew where the issue was and took extra time to make sure the adjustment would provide relief. She gave me exercises and stretches to do to help get the issue better and my body healthy. I also have severe allergy issues that pretty much wiped me out of work, exercise and social life for days at a time, several days a week. Ever since going to see her on a regular basis, I have not had any major allergy issues, even when I travel. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Emily, especially if you are active and or in sports. read more

I've seen Dr. Emily for years and she has been able to cure all my back problems. Most notably I've seen her for prenatal chiropractic care. During my first pregnancy a couple years ago she kept my body aligned and feeling good through the entire 9 months and I contribute my smooth, unmedicated birth to the chiropractic care I received throughout! She also was able to give my newborn a couple adjustments after birth which I learned is super helpful after they've been scrunched up in the womb for so long. Fast forward and I'm pregnant with baby #2 and started seeing Dr. Emily immediately! The weekly adjustments are so beneficial and helpful towards me feeling my best. I've been going to Mayo Chiropractic for close to a year and am so relieved to have found such a knowledgeable chiropractor. Dr. Emily is so thorough in explaining the whys, whats, wheres and hows. I've been to maybe five other chiropractors in the past 25ish years. She's the only one who can pinpoint the issues before I tell her. When I first went to her I could barely walk three blocks without feeling exhausted. Now, I'm a walking machine. The office is welcoming and comfortable. Emy is a delight at the front desk. It's a very relaxed yet professional atmosphere. It even has an adorable kids corner. read more
