Somehow, every time I've come here, the experience has been excellent. I honestly cannot remember a single bad meal. This isn't a place I visit every week or even every month. It's more of a special occasion destination every few months. Part of the reason is that every visit turns into an event. We always go for the full experience, and by the time we leave, we're completely stuffed, happy, and already talking about when we'll come back. The quality of the food is outstanding. Everything arrives hot, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Whether it's one of the signature cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, or something from the Market Table, I've yet to find an item that disappointed me. Usually, by the end of the meal, I've lost track of how many different things I've tried because I'm too busy enjoying all of it. One thing that always makes me laugh is the famous red and green card system. In theory, you flip the card to green when you want more food and red when you need a break. In reality, after a few visits, the staff seems to remember what you like. I've had servers and gauchos walk by with cuts they know I enjoy and offer them before I even have a chance to flip the card. That's not a complaint. It's actually one of the reasons the experience feels so personal. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed warmly. Throughout the meal, someone is always checking to make sure you're enjoying yourself, asking if you need anything, and making sure the experience lives up to expectations. It never feels forced or scripted. The staff genuinely seems to care that you're having a great time. We usually arrive around 5:00 or 5:30, before the dinner rush really gets going. That timing has always worked well for us and allows for a relaxed, enjoyable meal without feeling crowded or rushed. Fogo de Chão isn't inexpensive, but that's because you're getting an experience, not just a meal. Between the quality of the food, the attention from the staff, and the overall atmosphere, I've always felt like I got my money's worth. At this point, if someone asks me where to go in Providence for a memorable dinner, Fogo de Chão is always near the top of my list. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and a level of consistency that is surprisingly rare these days. Five stars without hesitation.

Confusing process and highly inflated prices…read more This was my first and last visit. The restaurant operates as a self-serve buffet with a limited selection of warm sides and a few salad items. There is a total lack of pricing transparency. There are zero signs, zero posted menus, zero flat rates, or visible "price per pound" pricing displayed anywhere. As a first-time visitor, the setup was very awkward. No one greeted me or explained how the buffet and grill system worked. The pricing remains a total mystery until you finish serving yourself and checkout. After weighing your plate, they hand you a plastic tracking card that looks like a drink coaster. Only when you bring this card to the final checkout station do you discover how much you are being charged. For a single lunch plate--consisting of just one chicken wing, one drumette, and two small cubes of bacon-wrapped chicken breast, and small portions of rice, roasted potatoes, plantains, and salad--my total came out to a shocking $29.83. No alcohol, no extras. To make matters worse, the card machine prompts for a tip even though I served myself. They even handed me a meat pamphlet at the register, but it still lacked any actual pricing. The whole experience felt confusing, overpriced, and completely unfriendly.
