Lobster Roll!
Mary Liz N.

Lobster roll is great! Toasted roll. Under $10! Can't beat the price. I highly recommend to all the locals and visitors!

We came across this grocery store after spotting a sign that said Lobster Roll. How could we resist lobster roll? They had lots of fresh veggies and fruits outside, and some snacks as well. In the inside was more groceries, things that require refrigeration, such as milk and cheese. They also had some cut flowers. They also had some dried food, like cereals. What surprised me was this huge selection of wines on the wall. This was impressive, with the size of the store, they can give away this much space just for wines. They also had all sorts of baked goods and desserts right around the register, from apple turnovers, woopie pies, apple cider donuts, etc. To the left from the entrance was the ready-to-eat section. You can pick up some cooked food there, or go to the counter at the end, and order sandwiches to be made for you. This is where the Lobster Roll was made. Since they were not so large, we ordered two for us. A young female staff took our order and made the sandwiches right there and then. We got the lobster roll and apple cider donuts, they were both tasty and a pretty good value. The staffs were friendly and polite.

Breakfast! Totally worth it at $9.99 :-) Cheapest price anywhere.

What a cute little grocery this is. I had to drop off some relay runners yesterday for the Cape Cod Marathon at Falmouth High School parking lot. Unlike the runners, my job was easy: wait around for 2 of the runners to come back, then drive them over to Falmouth Village. Anyway, I got pretty hungry waiting around for the 1st runner to show up, so I decided to chat with Siri and asked her to find me the nearest eating spot. She suggested I go here, which is only a 4 minute walk from the high school. Unfortunately, according to their Yelp page, they closed on Sundays. I don't know what made me call them (hunger maybe?), but I did. A kid answered and told me the store was opened. What a find! Such a quaintastic grocery with a couple of friendly workers ready to assist you. I went straight to the deli counter with the intention of ordering a sandwich. But written at the very top of the blackboard was LOBSTER ROLL at mp. I thought to myself, I am not going to ask her how much it is because it might deter me from getting it.....just go for it. She asked if I wanted the roll toasted, I said sure. On my way to the check-out counter, I grabbed a cup of coffee. Kid rang me up and the lobster roll was only $9.99! Really? That's super cheap for a lobster roll. Hmm, was I getting imitation lobster? Oh boy, the anticipation was killing me. They have tables outside. I immediately unwrapped my roll. Wow. Big smile spread across my face. First time I've ever had a lobster roll for breakfast and it was pure pleasure. Huge chunks of delicious lobster meat for only 9.99. Best price ever for a lobster roll anywhere. I wish I was a kid going to Falmouth High. I'd be saving all of my baby-sitting money to eat their lobster roll everyday. This place is a true gem.

Lots of pastries to choose from

I just had the best lobster roll from Jack and the bean stock. I have had only a handful of lobster rolls in my life, none very well, because they are usually filled with fluff: mayo, celery, imitation crab, terrible lobster, etc. So glad, I stopped here. While shopping for my son's pantry, I was able to treat myself to a butter roll filled with juicy, tender, chunky fresh lobster meat.

Went in at 435 to get sandwich meat. Refused and said they were closed already. 3/28/26. Not very happy. Need new deli manager.

Good quality food at outrageous prices, so if you have deep pockets and demand high end foods then this is the place to shop.

Their produce is so fresh, the difference between their vegetables and other supermarket vegetables is night and day. Their meats are also exceptional - superb filet mignon. Lambert's offers curbside pickup so we can continue being "socially distant" and safe while filling our refrigerator and pantry full of fresh groceries. Although Lambert's may be a bit pricier than neighboring supermarkets, once you've tasted their fare, you realize the few extra pennies are more than worth the expense. We will continue to shop at Lambert's once the quarantine has been lifted and we are all safe again. We so appreciate the convenience, the quality and the generosity of this neighborhood gem serving the community in this time of caution and peril.

But the food I took to go, all presumably made in house, was lacking. One would figure being on the Cape, an establishment would be judged by its chowder. This was a decent soup but an unrecognizable chowder. Very fluid, not at all thick, and flavor tasted more like chicken stock and white wine. The scones were completely flavorless. Save the chunky bits of sugar on top. Cornbread was decent if not more like a cake. I wish the food matched the warm exchange I had with the staff. Lots of great parking and outside seating atleast.

This Lobster Pot annex is a wonderful spot where you can find most of the items from PTown. Lobster…read moreravioli is always excellent, the lobster bisque, and the hot lobster roll. They use a proper New England roll, nice and toasted which holds up to the heft of the lobster meat. No annoying lettuce leaf either to distract or take up space. It's not a hot dog bun. That just should not happen! Quick service, order at the window and sit in the back or take away. Nice bar with music too. It's a stop every time I'm here. I'm so glad you're here. I just wish you were open a little later!

The management of this roadside clam shack with fine dining prices is definitely not customer oriented. I placed an order for a $40 plate - I take that back - plastic basket of Fried Clams and french fries with the special request that they be "lightly cooked" as I cannot tolerate crispy and overcooked food. When the food was dropped at the table without ANY query as to if the food seemed ok, or with any circle back to check (I somewhat get it - it got busy after we ordered) but the food was cooked exactly how I can't eat it. I tried. I ate what was reasonably edible - about 1/2 - then just had to stop - it was too unpleasant. My companion ate her entire meal. Hers was "good". At the end of my visit - I went to the bar to speak with Lala (our server) and mentioned to her that I was wanting to cash out - but that I was not able to eat about 1/2 of my meal because it was poorly cooked. I saw her glance over my shoulder - then look at me and said "the kitchen was busy". I guess a busy kitchen is license for them to deliver poorly prepared food. I would have liked at least some admission of error or possibly - a discount for the portion which was inedible. NOTHING. My part: I should have refused the food immediately (I am a professional chef and therefore I hate complaining or asking for a recook) - but I guess basic standards of hospitality don't exist in a picnic table, plastic plate serving overgrown clam shack. My suggestion is if anyone reads this and still chooses to go to this place - advocate for your own comfort immediately - don't wait - and don't settle. Your tolerance of poor food preparation and shoddy service won't get you anywhere. Ideally - just go up Rte 6 a short distance more for better fried food - or even next door for better food and service.
