I was ready to give this place a scathing review, as they charged 52 GBP to wash a set of clothes that fit into a small plastic take out bag. I was traveling for business, so anticipated that the laundry would be extortionate, however at about 25 GBP, maybe 30. It was mostly stocks and undergarments, and the woman who counted each item could do with working on her professionalism, as her face showed visible disgust at seeing my used undergarments, as though I really wanted her to do it instead of just putting everything through a wash myself. They could not deliver said service in 24 hours, and when I asked for a delivery after some business meetings were rescheduled, I got push back because their "driver" was not in. After I explained that the guesthouse I was in was on the corner, they agreed and I left my number in case there were in troubles, explaining that I had a plane to catch the next day and was worried I would not get my clothes back (I actually asked for it back but apparently they mix them all up together.) I arrived back to my place in the evening, no laundry, and was at their door at 7:55 am in a frenzy to catch my flight. The man said he dropped my laundry off, and that I simply wasn't told by the proprietor. This turned out to be true, annoyingly, however I can't blame them for the other establishment's poor communication. After finding my laundry in the proprietor's office, it was indeed all hung and pressed separately on nice hangers, which was really more a hindrance in trying to pack: I had two pairs of jeans, two shirts, a few camisoles, socks, and undergarments: it was definitely overkill and I actually found myself laughing. All in all, I can't say they're bad, and they definitely seem to be trying to take the feedback from other reviews in stride, however the prices for the service are completely imbalanced. If they could devise a way to give a wash/dry/fold service by weight or separates for about half the price I paid, they would likely make a nice amount with all the hotels in the area. read more
