Wonderful quality and attention to detail. I have had Maya do body repair and minor paint on several of my vehicles. More important, they did a complete restoration for me on my 1957 Thunderbird. Yes, it took 15 months, however, the time resulted in terrific work. It was a frame-up which included taking the car down to bare metal, do any necessary body work (it was minimal) and then painting and re-assembly. The paint work was amazing, such that it would almost be impossible to do in the states. The curing process was three weeks alone. I brought all of the parts for them, including; dash pad, chrome, badging and new seats. Maya did the upholstery. Their business model for restoration, from my experience, is they take the day to day dents and scratch jobs to pay the rent and keep employees busy. The same tradesman, Ozvaldo, did all the work on the T-Bird. Adan (Miguel Adan Valdez) the son of Family owner Miguel was responsive, honest and very helpful during the process. I am sorry to hear that Emilio had issues, as for me it was a great experience. Since I had the luxury of time, I would enjoy my monthly visits from the L.A. area, and include lunch at Tacos El Gordo, purchases of Don Julio Tequila at Costco for my daughter and visits to the dentist. Keep tuned, as I now have a 1972 El Camino at the shop doing a complete restoration. read more
