Impromptu visit with some guys at work. Let me tell you, this is the real deal. The service is top notch, the atmosphere is inviting and clean, and the food is incredible. I had the chicken quesadilla as an appetizer, though most would make it a meal. The cheese and chicken were so full of flavor and the perfectly grilled tortilla blew my mind. I also had the carne asada burrito. I opted to have it covered half red and half green salsa. Perfect amount of spice, the carne asada melted like butter, and the entree had an exquisite presentation. I'm really looking forward to coming back for dinner to try the chefs menu!

A delightful intimate cuisine experience. We loved it so much we may be back tomorrow for brunch. Our party of 7 (out of 9 guests) enjoyed the 5 course meal starting a roasted beet salad complete with goat cheese and a slight sweetness of honey and brown sugar. I ate it too fast I didn't get a photo. The next course was a take of carrot bisque topped with shrimp and herbs. Next was a fresh tamal stuffed with chicken, topped with an amazing green sauce. Fourth was a beef tenderloin, asparagus, mashed potatoes and a delicious sauce. Last was a chocolate tres leches, the perfect end to the evening. Did I mention there were wine pairings?! I highly recommend Maya Del Sol for your foodie friends or if you'd like to rent the entire space for a special occasion. The intimate dining experience makes me very comfortable dining during COVID. Thank you Chef Raul!

If you call yourself a fan of mexican and haven't been here, you better fix that. This place is a 5 star experience if I've ever seen one! My mom and I went to lunch here towards the end of their lunch hours, and everything about this place was a 10/10. Food quality stands out for sure, really unique tasty mexican food, tier above a lot of places in charleston that I also love. Service was amazing and very insightful, space inside was pretty cool as well. Pricing is really good for how high quality it is as well. Lunch is just tacos, burritos, simple quisine. Dinner is coursed, and they have insanely cool events that I will definitely be returning for.

Don't walk RUN to eat here. We just finished with their themed Peruvian Ceviche night and it was incredible. Dining for dinner is a themed 5 course meal eaten not quite family style. Everyone is served the same thing for each course. Tonight's dinner was one of their themed dinners, otherwise, dinner (served Thu - Sat at 6 pm or 8 pm) is typically Mexican/Latin. They will do themed dinners several times a month. You sit at a long table with everyone and as each course is served, it is described to you; wine is also served with each course. Price fixe meal. Can't wait to try their next one!

Charleston's hidden gem! We tried the seafood night 5 course menu and thought each dish was spectacular. So much flavor! The pictures don't do the food justice. Raul and Tim were lovely hosts. The ambiance was cozy and relaxed. Can't wait to visit again.

We went for lunch and to pick up a fried Turkey. The lunch was great. I had the burrito with chorizo and potatoes. My wife and sister had the tamale. Around 15$ each. Very small menu which was nice. Met Raul, the owner, and he was super charming and his food was delicious. The owner was allowing Destiny Kitchen to use the facility to fry Turkeys for charity. That is how we discovered this jewel and can't wait to come back for their dinner service. Sounds like a great experience.

This is a MUST try dining experience! I cannot say enough good things about the food and setting. Intimate and fun all at the same time! Watch your food being prepared and interact with the wonderful Chef Raul in the process. Each night he serves up new tasty dishes. Everything we had was prepared to perfection from taste to presentation. We also enjoyed several great drink pairings that were provided with each course. I usually have a lot more to say but I think the photos say it all! Go check out this new place for dinner or even weekend brunch! I'll be be going back to check out brunch soon and am sure to report back with equally mouth watering photos!

    Empanadas

AMAZING Flavors. Our new favorite place! In love with the empanadas in mole, the layers of flavor in the summer salad, and Tres Leches. Raul and Tim are wonderful hosts.

New restaurant alert!!! Raul has opened Maya Del Sol Kitchen in North Charleston and it is absolutely phenomenal!!! They take reservations Thursday-Saturday for 6pm and 8pm and Sunday is first come first serve for brunch from 10-3. Our dinner last night was amazing and so flavorful. Bruce and Raul were both very personable and such a pleasure to enjoy dinner with.

I had the enchiladas which were amazing, highly recommend. Also ask for a flavored water (agua fresca), they had pineapple, cucumber and lime, and tamarin. On our way to the airport one weekend, we saw the sign for what appeared to be a new restaurant in town, the family was hungry and we decided to give it a shot. FINALLY; delicious, fresh and truly authentic Mexican dishes!! For once everyone, wife, toddlers, teenage son, mother in law and I unanimously agreed, we're so delighted with this place that we have made it our go-to weekend breakfast spot. Service is super friendly, portions are generous, prices are fair. We hope this place keeps the great quality of the food for years to come. Congratulations to the chef, cooks and staff, all of you succeeded in making us feel at home.

We shopped and shopped and worked up an appetite. We walked into the tiny little restaurant and I immediately went onto my yelp app. The menu is NOT in English and I had no idea what I wanted so I used pictures as some sort of a guideline lol. My husband ordered enchiladas and we agreed, per usual that we would split everything. I ordered huarache and then last minute we decided to do an order of the plantains, (only one not pictures) sorry y'all they were delicious!!! Oh and their green hot sauce that came in the soufflé cup was amazing! If not for my son, I would have drenched my food in it! So good! First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.
