Came back today after my appointment 2 weeks ago. My nails grow quickly. No lift or anything so retention was fine from my previous visit, just don't like the growth so I come more often than some. I showed Holley an inspiration photo. I wanted to stick with a pale pinky white color. She showed me lots of options and made sure I was happy with my choice. The last time I did gel polish but this time, I went back to dip which is what I prefer. This was one coat of clear dip followed by 3 coats of their #25. We were thinking it may be too pink but once activated and the top coat put on, it turned out to be the perfect pinky white color I was looking for. Holley also did a great job at the shape. I went with a short almond shape. Very happy with my nails. Thank you!
I asked that a drill is not used on my nails at all during my manicure and I want regular polish. My nails are extremely damaged and I am trying to strengthen them. I like coming weekly for a manicure to regular polish is fine. They used the wrong color polish, used a drill and rushed me out like I was being cheap for not wanting to upgrade. There is wax all over my hair from the wax appointment. WORST BIRTHDAY EVER. Stay away from this

1st timer going to May Nails and Spa, 100% will be going back. I had the Champagne Pedicure and the Gel Manicure and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere and vibe!! The service was 10/10 and they were so kind, I was 100% for sure what I wanted but can't wait to go back and try more stuff. Halley and Lynn were taking care of me and I will be requesting them forward!!
Hanna has gained a forever customer! I hate that I couldn't tip more because she honestly went above and beyond my expectations. I have two ingrown toenails and she offered to remove them for me. I declined but she still tried her best to make sure I was comfortable and that my toes looked good. I got a french tip on both, super disappointing that there are so many additional add ons from the base price. French on toes is 20, Acrylic on toes was 18, french on hands was 20, 15 for gel. My appointment was only for $90, however I left the salon spending 164.00 including tip. If you allow the booking of appointment online then allow me to add all my additional services so i'm not surprised by different fees. However Hanna was a rockstar and did an amazing job on both my hands and feet! Update: It was great for a few hours and then the paint started to wear off on the tips and the first layer just disappeared so my white started looking very faded. I was so disappointed because you spend more money and the quality just is not very good.

I came to this place to get my feet done and a new set of acrylics. I had a inspo picture which was very simple, black and white French tips with almond nails. I decided to treat myself cause it's my birthday I had a long day at work and was looking forward to relaxing and being groomed and cleaned up. What I wasn't expecting is to be given slanted nails that mind you I wanted medium length. She started it off with looking at the reference and starts getting to the beginning stages and before she even finished putting in the tips to cause my skin to tear. And it was bleeding a decent amount and she just put this powder on it for "knicks" my finger was throbbing then she proceeds to do the exact thing that made my skin rip the first time a second time making it bleed more and cause a bigger cut. She kept apologizing and acting Beverly's and rushing my nails as if she doesn't want me there?. I tell her multiple it's fine stuff happens but she then still refuses to be gentle in the cut she caused. I had to go to my car and grab an antibacterial spray with lidocaine in it to help the pain. Then she gets the acrylic in and it's just a mess I know "trust the process" but it was lumpy and stuck under the nails so now it looks thick. Then she puts on gel nail polish (pink) mind you I asked for white and black French tips. The pink she used wasn't no where close to the natural color of my nail bed. In the picture it was a clear acrylic used not pink. The whole time the wall behind her is filled with colored acrylic powder and there was clear. Why didn't you use the clear to match the reference photo. So at that point I came to the conclusion I can't just "trust the process" I told her that's fine I changed my mind of my feet and the design cause I was on the verge of tears. And I do not like making a scene or bringing attention to myself. Time for payment they took off 4$ for my injury. And charged my and extra 5$ for length but what length? The length that got unevenly filed off??. Then to top that I left the store and decided to call them because I didn't want to cause a scene and asked for a refund cause tf. And she told me she needs to take of my nails first, which valid I completely understand that but you caused a flesh wound and want to handle my hands again and put it in harsh chemicals so that I can get a infection? I do not think so. I understand the policy I'm not trying to get these nails for free because in the photos you'll see they are disgusting and awful. It took for my husband to get home and ask about my day I and I break down in tears telling him about this extremely unfortunate situation I had to go through. He told me we are going back to fix that because this is not okay. I didn't want to go back from the embarrassment and anxiety of the situation. He told them it's not okay and that they will give a refund he said the exact same thing to them did about how I will not give them the first to touch my hands again after that. And the further complicate it they didn't believe the card I used was used and tried to say fraud even though I had just been in this place thirty minutes prior to my husband coming. I was even wearing the same outfit. I had the proof of the receipt and then they finally caved. I tried to be kind and understanding but every time I got fucked over. It's just makes me really sad because as I stated before this was my birthday gift to myself do something nice and feel girly again.
Tina did a fabulous job on my nails! This is the only nail salon in the city that I go to do have my nails done. They are kind, friendly, professional, extremely talented and very affordable.

I have never felt the need to write a review until today. I called ahead to see if today was a good day to come and was instructed to just walk in. I walked in and immediately was met with a man with an irritable and impatient attitude. We got seated and waited probably 30 mins before we were helped. I chose the $36.00 pedicure and somehow got charged around $58????? My toe nails were also trimmed crooked and now the French tip design I chose is crooked as well. The man at the front counter was very bothered. Everyone else seemed nice. I would give this place a zero stars just from how uncomfortable I felt but it wouldn't let me. I only came here to use a gift card I was gifted. Never going back here, and taking my business right back to Essence! read more

Anna really did her thing with my nails! She is such beautiful soul and spent at least 15 minutes or more shaping and buffing my nails, also cutting my cuticles. You won't see a lot of nail salons do this so I'm very thankful to have found them. When I walked in, I received a complimentary drink menu and got an herbal tea. They also asked me if I wanted a neck wrap while getting a pedicure and truly treated me so well. I have been coming here since June of this year and definitely won't stop. read more

My nail tech LITERALLY cut into my thumb while trimming tips with SCISSORS! I bled the entire time, she changed the bandage and or cotton ball about 10 times, she also dipped my bleeding thumb into the main container of dip! My DNA is in color 34 now! Offered me $5 off for the trouble???? After having a tetanus shot and antibiotics (3 days later) I called the shop to request a refund. They asked me to come up to the shop again, so I did. Then they offered a gift card! For $20! Never mind my dr. Copay was $50!! They offered no solution otherwise, and there was no owner/manager to contact. This is a beautiful place disguised as a spa, but beware...it's your average chop shop..literally!! read more

I got a wispy lash set done here by Annie and I absolutely LOVE THEM!! She did such an amazing job! She made sure to thoroughly clean my lashes beforehand & she was so gentle while working on me.
