Just went here today, and walked up instead of using the drive thru. It's an outside window. The people who work there seem very nice. The reason this is 3 star instead of 4 star... I ordered a footlong and asked for sloppy joe instead of the coney sauce. I would have thought that would be a straight substitution, but instead they charged me for another whole sloppy joe sandwich. I guess it's my fault for not asking how much it would be ahead of time, but that was a REALLY expensive foot long - it's bugging me, and I need to let it go. read more

Max's Dairy Bar is the best around. It's better than that corporate chain. This is a classic small time ice cream place. It has a drive thru. There's also an order window. It has many of the typical ice cream favorites. It has a few dip flavors. These include cherry and chocolate. It's not just ice cream. They also have several flavors of dairy free Dole Whip. I had the pineapple flavor. This is about $3 for a cup, which is a good size. It gets a lot of traffic in the drive thru. Ordering at the window can be faster. They close up in October. read more

When i visited wapac for the first time I told myself who goes to this place and looks a bit sketchy. To my surprise I go to this place everytime I'm in town. They have great selection of ice creams and other desserts. The portion is huge and high quality product. I usually order a baby size order and struggle to finish it and I can't imagine finishing a big boy. Remarks: this is definitely a must place to try in wapac. read more

Okay listen here. Best. Ice. Cream. Place. Ever. I got with my boyfriend last year, he told me he wanted some ice cream. He didn't believe me when I said this is the best ice cream you can get. Little hometown shops are ALWAYS the best. So we grabbed my daughter and went to get ice cream. I've never seen him eat a whole cup of ice cream before. He was so shocked about how many different flavors there was. My daughter loves it cause they put eyes on her ice cream. We now go in the summer to the park for the kids and get ice cream after. I used to go here all the time with my mother as a little kid and as I got older and had my own it's now where I take my kids (and my sister). The owner is super nice, and they are pretty fast getting your ice cream to you. I haven't had anything really other than the ice cream but it's probably just as good. A lot of amazing memories here! -oh, only bad part is the parking situation when it's packed and trying to get out. It can be a little hard. read more

I grew up on Max's Dairy Bar and whenever I come home, it is such a treat to stop by one of the now two locations, east and west side of town. I was happy to see the west side also had a drive thru for orders bigger than one can carry as I was going for my whole family. The girl who took our order was friendly and quick. The order was right and we were all happy! I highly recommend the turtle sundae-it cannot be beat! I got a large malt, orange dole whip in a waffle cone, and turtle sundae for under 10 bucks and that is a great deal! read more

It was suggested that this place has the best milkshakes in town, and that was good enough for us to drive-up and give this place a try. I was with two other people and the three of us each ordered our milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, and butterscotch). All I can say is that they were very good and they went down fast! This is a drive-up place only. There were a couple of cars in front of us when we arrived, but the line moved pretty quick. Would stop in here again! read more
