Buyer beware. Please don't be fooled by the people who represent this auto outlet. The owner is David Maxwell whom I didn't have any dealings with. David's brother, Robert Maxwell is the general manager of Maxmotive. I never spoke to either of the Maxwells. I only dealt with Bobby Martin who is in the PA location. What a huge mistake that was. Bobby Martin was very dishonest with me on the purchase of a 1985 El Camino SS. I am in Central Texas and was naive enough to believe I could trust these people. Bobby told me this El Camino was in perfect condition, the only issue being 2 small paint chips and wear and tear on the armrest. Wow, what a basket of bulls...! He said it was road ready, that I could take off in it and drive away. Wrong! The car was in their showroom in PA, had been totally restored in 2018 with 3600 miles on a new crate motor and transmission, new paint, new exhaust, new a/c, new battery, all accessories work great, new stereo. He claimed the car needed nothing but a new owner. Well, fast forward 4 months and the "perfect " car is still in the shop getting work done. The motor has 2 lifters sticking, steering box worn out, front stabilizer bar only had 1 of 4 bolts holding it, 1 front shock, shot, a/c only works on max and squeals like a pig when in use. door locks didn't work, window weather stripping had to be replaced, interior light bulbs were removed to hide a short, the windshield wipers were disconnected to hide a non-working wiper motor, the tech and oil gauges are bad. I learned an important lesson and that is to never trust an over the phone purchase of a vehicle. I am still working to get the near perfect car I was promised, spending a ton of money, enduring stress because of dishonesty. I am a man of my word, and I was trusting the wrong person. Oh, and the real kicker was, Bobby told me he would put gas in the car as I live in the country 5 miles out of a small town. We met the transport driver in town so he wouldn't have to maneuver the back roads to bring us the car. The driver backed the car off of the trailer, it idled for approximately 5 minutes and died. Ran totally out of gas, right in the parking lot of the Valero. We couldn't push the car to the pump because we were downhill from the pumps. My wife had to run into town, buy a gas can so I could put enough gas in it to drive it to the pumps. Unbelievable! Bobby Martin is NOT to be trusted. My advice is don't be a fool like I was and deal with Maxmotive. read more
