The car arrived in a matter of days and we were on our test drive less than 20 minutes after arriving at Carmax. Thank you to our salesman, Russell Killcrece, who had us out the door in our new car that day without any high pressure sales tactics. He made recommendations based on our actual needs and gave good advice, I would certainly send family members to see him. We also did a trade in and had an online quote for the trade in before we arrived at the dealership. Nobody asked for my keys before we did a test drive and decided that we were going to buy. When we made our decision they did a quick inspection and ended up giving us more for our trade in than the online quote.

Paint color on the passenger's side from the front to the quarter panel in the back is a different color from the rest of the car. Furthermore, on closer inspection at a body shop, there is a dent remaining and dirt in the paint scattered throughout the passenger's side. I contacted Carmax sales representative- Scott Snead and he told a service worker to tell me that the passenger's side including the dent and the dirt in the paint were up to CarMax's standards. Apparently, CarMax's "standards" are like having no standards at all. The passenger's rear tire was also leaking from its patch that CarMax had put on there so it's obvious now that damage occurred on the passenger's side that was undisclosed to me during the sale.

Hamid sent me all details on the vehicle then went out of his way to meet me early one morning in Northern Virginia to show me the truck before I hopped on a flight out of DCA. The SUV was exactly what I was looking for and exactly as it was described. Hamid then spent a week taking it to a local Mercedes dealer for me and having some maintenance and other items taken care of before my family and I flew back two weeks later to pick it up, have it for vacation driving, and then drive back to Ohio. Paying almost $50k for a luxury SUV from out of state was concerning, but VIP Auto was excellent with communication, paperwork, and scheduling. Hamid is very professional and came through on everything, far exceeding our expectations. I would most certainly buy another car from VIP Auto again or recommend them to friends. Even for buying out of state, the description and pics of the vehicle were fully accurate and Hamid answered all questions I had (and I had a lot!).

I purchased a vehicle sight unseen and had a mobile pre-inspection done. I'll get to that later. If I had flown to VA, I would have saved myself the headache and the tens of thousands in negative equity. There were many scratches, dents, and touch-up paint all over the vehicle ($2,000). Cheap aftermarket AMG replica rims with snow tires ($3,500). Lower center chrome trim damaged ($250), driver headlight cracked. The interior was also in terrible shape. Cigarette burn in the headliner, missing rear console door ($185), overly discolored leather seats, rips in the leather, and if there is a clip to hold something together, it was either broken or missing. Two main clips that were broken and missing held the chrome strips on the door handles ($740), a car that is supposed to be quiet was filled with rattling noise when driving. After 3 months with the vehicle, the check engine light came on. Hooked it up to the computer; 3 cylinders are misfiring ($1,000 in parts, work done myself). The dealer wanted to charge $4,000. Rear window stopped working ($385). The mobile mechanic stated that the brakes were in excellent condition; however, they were as thin as a sheet of paper and squealed even when the transporter was backing the vehicle from the truck ($1,500). After five months, a significant leak occurred from one of the coolant reservoirs. I didn't know how much that cost because I had to sell the vehicle after having it for 6 months and driving less than 2k miles. My total was $46,560, and I sold it for $27,500 because it was in such poor condition. Almost $20k in negative equity makes me want to vomit! PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

So I wasn't able to leave with my car. fast forward a week, the check engine lights on... how?! on a two week old car. and not to mention the first issue, the compressor is an issue again, my car is smoking and I have no air. Because he refused to have his mechanic come and take a look or even have it towed, as I was instructed by more than one mechanic that that car isn't safe to drive at high rates of speed or long distances. So after having to fight with him and united auto credit (STAY AWAY FROM THEM ALSO) I paid for repairs out of pocket. then he finally offers me solutions- which includes his mechanic fixing the issue. Switch vehicles or after finding out I paid for the work to reimburse me. But only under the stipulation that I call the bank and tell them. however I am still not a a satisfied customer as I have no air. So he offers to take a look, at this time I am telling this man I do not want to leave my vehicle as I do NOT trust him. He refuses to give me my car. (his loaners are also crappy cars, the first one he gave me died at a gas station). So I'm forced to leave with his loaner. The next day I go to get my car and as I'm on i95 my car starts to shake and makes some noise as if something is going to fall off. And the ride is now completely different. It shakes, it stutters/stammers and makes a god awful sound. I reach back out to him and he tells me do not contact him any further. After refusing TWICE to give me something in writing stating that fox motors inc did work on my car. Needless to say, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. Yes guys, I had a warranty. A warranty that I later learned was only honored by... you guessed, FOX MOTORS. It appears these three entities are family owned and operated and they're all crooks.

I really wanted a Sorento, and I had bad luck twice the day I bought one from this dealership. It happened the 2 I was looking at, at the dealership in Manassas the one I wanted was sold the night before I went to see it, and the other was on hold and had a deposit. But Mazari Motors in Tyson's called me and said they had one there. I went to look at it. I called and texted with Sam making sure it was able to finance before I arrived. I told him how much I had to put down, and I filled out the finance information. I was told everything was good to go, and to be there by 4pm. He then went on with the financing... instead of a $350 month payment, he got it to $420. Wow, right... Again, I knew my credit wasn't the best, but I agreed. He told me that included GAP and a service contract warranty. For 12,000 or one year, whichever comes first. After I agreed to it and right after I was signing papers he told me, "The bank will call you about the loan. Don't tell them that you are paying the $1,500 on Friday. Tell them you put it all down today." That was a red flag I know... I got the car the last day of February, wasn't cold. I didn't think to try the air conditioning on the car. So, a week later, it was hot out. I turned on the air and guess what?! It didn't work. So I contacted the dealership, no response. So, I called the number to the Fredericksburg dealership on the contract. I talked to the ONLY person there who tried to help me with any of this, Crystal. I told her my situation, and said she would talk to her manager and call me back within an hour. Well then next day I called again. She asked, "My manager didn't call you?" I told her no one called. So she said to hold tight and she would get back with me. By this time it was almost a month since I got my car. I called again on a Saturday and got ahold of Crystal. I told her I had contacted the Tyson's dealership, and no one ever got back to me. My temporary plates were about to expire, and I asked about those too on top of the air conditioning. So finally, her manager (I want to say Bill) called me. He told me that I needed to contact the Tyson's location and to tell them I spoke with Bill and Justin and that I need the policy number for the service contract I have, and to ask for the plates. He told me they always want to take care of their customers, and want them to have a good experience. So I called. When you call there it's like calling someone's personal phone, "Hello." Very unprofessional. I called and spoke to a man and he said he will have someone call back. Sam texted me and said that someone tried to call me, but I was driving. So I texted Sam when I was home and told him about the plates and the air conditioning. He told me in order to get my plates I needed an emissions test. I told him where I live in Culpeper County, you don't. He told me I had to, and that I couldn't get my plates until then. So, I got in touch with Crystal again and told her. I told her how I wasn't getting help from them, and that I don't need an emissions test. By this time, there were several HOT days with my 3 kids and no air. I was livid at this point. So, Justin finally calls me. He made things sound great! He would get my plates taken care of and apologized, and then told me to call the licensed mechanic I want and have them call the service contract place (Wynn's Premier) to get the air taken care of. So, I finally did! Here comes the best part... it wasn't just the air conditioning that was wrong, how about the spark plugs, the leak in the coolant system, and about 5 other things that cost over $2,400... I WAS PISSED. So, after that happened, I texted Justin since I had his number and he told me to call with any questions. (I also wanted documentation of everything). I told him how much it all came out to. Asked to be refunded for this because NOTHING was covered on their Wynns Premier service contract. NO RESPONSE, ever to this day. They only care about money and not quality or their customers.

It is not supposed to be in PRISTINE condition. If you want Pristine, then buy a NEW vehicle, then watch it depreciate as soon as you drive it off the lot. Used cars dealerships don't make much of a spread as you think. Lets say they buy a vehicle from an auto auction for 1k, put 1k in repairs in & then sell for 3-4k. Do you really get mad? It's a business & businesses need to make some profit. Anyways, bought a used Porsche here and had a very pleasant experience w/ Moh. He was able to show me the car and get it ready for me to test drive quickly. After purchasing it, he even got it detailed for me to take home. Management is super nice & professional as well. Paperwork was a breeze. One minor thing is that there's no parking in the lot, but I'm sure it was just bad timing.
