In September 2026, we had a terrible experience. The dealership presented a 2019 Kia Forte at a…read morevery good price on their website. The pictures showed the car was in good shape, including a working dash display, that is approximately 10 inches across. When we test drove the car, the computer display did not WORK. It was 100% black, no images trying to show through, truly a not working display. They sales rep said this is not a problem, they've ordered a new computer display for the car. The rep wanted us to buy the car, and then the would fix it, when we brought the car back for the repair. We asked, what if there is a problem in the wiring, that the display is not the issue? Would they fix that if the new display change-out didn't work? The dealership would not commit to guaranteeing they would fix the display issue, only that they would install a new display. (Very shady)
TWO days before we made the 3-hour drive to look at the car, we talked with the sales rep. We asked, why is this car so cheap? He said they have many Forte's and they want to get rid of them. When there, the sales rep also told us they get 100 new cars every week, which was another lie. I find it very hard to believe this dealership has the capacity to prep 100 used purchases every week. And there were only a couple couple Forte's on the lot.
On their website in the car description, it read that the car comes with a remote. When getting ready for the test drive, the sales rep provided us with one metal key, and said that's all they have. He said to unlock the car, you have to pop-off part of the door handle, and then unlock the car manually. We had to ask them to provide a remote, as they did not offer to provide one. Seriously, they wanted us to unlock the car manually forever... I'm guessing the piece of the door handle that you have to pop-off to get to the manual key hole, will likely become loose and fall off after a few weeks of being popped off regularly...
ALSO, when they brought the car up for us to test drive, it was covered in thick dust. The sales rep told us they have a detail shop, and they didn't do a good job on it. They knew at least 1.5 days in advance we were coming. They could have washed the car. (It looked like the dealership has a drive through car-wash beside their garage in the back)
During our negotiations, we asked if we could speak with the manager because of the display not working and not having a remote? The rep said he is in a meeting. But the rep kept going into the manager's office to talk with them about our situation. The manager NEVER came out to talk with us. He obviously didn't care if we felt like we were not having a good experience at their dealership.
They tried to push us into another couple cars, but we quickly saw damage on the other cars from accidents that were not properly repaired. For example, in the front passenger wheel-well of an Altima, there was foil tape trying to seal the busted plastic wheel-well guard. On a Honda accord, the hood had a spotty / poor paint job, definitely not a manufacturer or professional paint job.
Everything about this used car dealership was shady. They need new management that will push quality service and honesty.
Be careful here. Maybe they have some good cars, but we had a terrible, untruthful, and non-customer friendly experience with them.
*** I'm anxious to read the dealership's reply to this message. I'm sure they will spin it, and try to make it seem that we were unreasonable. All we expected was for the car to be what we were verbally told before visiting the dealership and of course for the car to be 100% as indicated on their website.
