Maria's team does beautiful work, but her communication was lacking. She sent the first mock-up the day before our event, and when I requested changes, she acted as though she was doing me a favor, even though the changes were part of the paid scope. I asked for a call because I felt there may have been some miscommunication, but she told me to email her instead. Since it was the day before the event, I asked to speak with someone else on her team who was available, but that request was ignored. Unfortunately, there were several issues with our order, including incorrect vase colors, no fruit as shown in the approved mock-up, missing bud vases, and incorrect floral placement on the main photo moment. We also had to pay an additional $24 to add the bud vases that had been missed. As a business owner, I found that disappointing especially for such a small additional amount, as it was an oversight on her end rather than ours. After the event, I emailed to share my concerns and never received a response. Overall, it felt like our event was not taken as seriously as it should have been, and that was reflected in the final execution. read more

Maxit Flower Design is definitely one of the best wedding and event designers in Houston. However, they do have a strict by appointment only policy but are very quick to respond to emails. Emails are in fact the best way to contact them. MAXIT's signature garden style design is light and airy with that traditional feel but they can truly design anything your heart desires. I have had family and friends use MAXIT for their weddings and I continue to be amazed. read more

Really put off. After submitting a wedding inquiry on their website Bryanna emailed to schedule a consultation. Granted it was for 9 am -- I explained to her at 830am I may have to push the consultation. However -- I was able to move things around and emailed her at 9:00 am that we could keep the same consultation. She proceeded to call and we had A FOUR MINUTE CONSULTATION for a WEDDING! After I told her my budget she proceeded to get uninterested. If Maxit Floral Design has a minimum budget to be met -- state that on your website like other florist do rather than have a rude associate handling your customer intake. Very disappointed. Will not use. read more

I have known Maria for years and I am so happy to see her finally have her own business. Her love for flowers is contagious and her creativity has exploded since she started working for herself. Maria really pays attention to what each person is looking for. I been referring friends to her for a while now and all I hear back is how wonderful the arrangements are. read more

Let me start of by saying Wow! Maria really is an artist! My sister (who was my wedding planner) found Maxit Design while searching the web for Houston Florists. We ended up meeting 3 or 4 florists. Maria was the only one who took the time to "get to know us" and was on the same wavelength as me. Upon meeting, she was really sweet and professional. She was able to work with my budget (which must of been somewhat of a challenge on her part as my budget was on the frugal side). Over the months, I changed my mind here and there. Maria was completely understanding. On the day of the wedding (which was a few weeks ago) I was FLOORED at how beautiful the flower arrangements were! Maria somehow managed to exceed anything I could even dream up! It was so much better than my vision of perfect! It was so artistically done- it was almost surreal :) Maria even stayed through the ceremony to move large floral arrangements I had outside to inside for the reception- which was something that my day of coordinator had promised to do but backed out on doing right before the wedding. She spent extra time taking care of things that were not in our contract- and I'm so grateful for it. Every one of my friends/family members complimented me on the flower arrangements. My Mom even saw several friends of mine taking flower arrangements off the tables and hiding them in their bags! I feel as though I got way more than what I paid for. Needless to say, going with Maxit Design was a decision I couldn't be any happier with! Without question, I will be using this company again in the future! Thank you so much Maria!! I don't even know how to show you how much appreciation I have for your work and your artistic craft :) read more

Day three. Called Maria AGAIN; no answer. Days one and two, I left Maria voicemails explaining that I wanted to send a friend, who just had very serious surgery, some flowers. Left my name and number twice each time. Nothing. A friend of mine, who is very influential in the Houston art community, told me that he had seen her work at an event and thought I would be very impressed. I went online, found her website and was, indeed, impressed. That good impression has gone out the window now that I realize that she can't seem to answer her phone or return voicemail messages. How do you run a business like that? Why would I go back to my friends in Houston who throw big events and say, "I have the perfect florist for you!". I wouldn't. If she can't keep up with her phone business, how will she manage her time providing for an event? Her talent for floral arrangement and her ability to run a business smoothly seem at odds. She should hire someone to manage her office. read more

I contacted Maria on short notice for a flower delivery for a friend. Not only was she accomodating, she created a beautiful arrangement and had it delivered promptly. The arrangement was gorgeous but beyond that the service was incredible. She gained a long term customer with that! read more

I hired Maria to do my wedding based on the recommendation of another bride I know. Maria was prompt at our meeting, open to my suggestions, and able to make sense of the nonsense I was spouting off in a way that allowed her to understand and create my vision. She was also really open to my (not very large) budget and offered many suggestions to obtain the look I was going for within my price range. The wedding hasn't happened yet (although I will certainly update when it does) but I have ordered arrangements from Maria in the meantime (not really as a test run, but because I know nothing about flowers except I know enough to know those phone and internet places are ripping me off) and she has come through BEAUTIFULLY. My notoriously picky future mother-in-law liked hers so much she posted them on FB and DEDICATED THEM TO ALL THE OTHER MOTHERS SHE KNOWS. So needless to say, the arrangements were beautiful and well thought out. I can't wait to see what she has in store for my wedding! read more

I cannot say enough about Maria! Her work is stunning, fresh and always on the cutting edge. I have worked with her on different events and am amazed at her attention to detail. Maria's work is AMAZING!! From the moment I met her, I knew I wanted to work with her. I was the pickiest bride ever, and she surpassed all of my hopes and dreams for my wedding flowers. She's a creative genius and you won't regret working with Maxit Flower Design for anything you need. I wanted my wedding to look like a fairytale and it happened.
