I was expecting a "florist" store front with a big sign..... but this florist is set back into a commercial/office type building. No biggie, just harder to find. I normally come here to get flowers for birthdays, Mother's Day or just to decorate an event. Just picked up some beautiful flowers for my company's Open House and compliments have already flowed in even though our open house isn't until later tonight! A while back I asked a friend in Houston for a recommendation for a florist. She didn't hesitate to offer John's name and number. She,in turn, had rec'd his name from another friend. I knew I would be needing a florist regularly and fairly often and I didn't want to be spending money blindly, so to speak. I'm 2,000 miles away. John has not been a disappointment. Although I've personally seen only one of the arrangements that I've ordered (out of maybe 10) the reviews I get are gushing with praise. Not just from the recipient, who may naturally tend to exaggerate for the benefit of the sender, but others who saw them that would be less inclined to be so charitable. On one occasion where it was a major-decade birthday of my friend she told me that another visiting friend deemed the arrangement John designed to be the most beautiful she had ever seen. IIRC, these words came from a Washington lawyer. I spent something over 100.00 on this occasion. My average purchase from John has been maybe a little under 100.00, ranging from 50 or so to 150. FWIW, I'm generally loathe to rate anything a 10 out of 10, or 5 out of 5, but I didn't hesitate to give John 5 stars. read more

I came here Friday after searching Yelp for florists. They were close to home and I like supporting local businesses. I was looking for 4 small bouquets for a baby shower. I was helped by Mickey. He asked me what I wanted to spend and really I had no idea except that I didn't have a large budget. I pointed out some flowers and he came up with 4 really beautiful bouquets. They were perfect and were only $10 a piece, which seemed very reasonable to me. I had my toddler with me and John and a few other of his employees were very warm. Mickey gave my son an unusual flower to play with. It was such a kind gesture. I loved the arrangements so much. I'll definitely go back to get flowers for my friends and family there. I love these guys! I Work off near Brookhollow. I was looking around for a flower shop that I could go by and pick something that wasn't going to be too expensive, but had some thought in it. I had Googled local florist around my job and this flower shop turned up. After work I went over. This place isn't in the most visible spot , but you'll find it. The store doesn't really look like a flower shop, its more like a warehouse. Walking in you are greeted by the receptionist and then get taken back. I told John I was looking to buy something, but had 30 bucks to spend. He got a nice arrangement with roses together for me in minutes and priced it for 30 bucks. The buds on those roses were very fat. They had a very bright and healthy color. I felt pleased with the arrangement and I was treated so nice. Placing the order was such a pleasant experience as the person taking the order was very helpful, very interested in satisfying my requests, and looked into the availability of certain flowers I was considering for the arrangement. The arrangement was delivered and it was exquisite! The deep blue hydrangeas and the variety of large roses in blush pink and rose pink were perfectly set among pale pink hypericorn berries. The roses were extremely fragrant and remained so for 10 days! These were strikingly arranged in a generous cylinder vase with a bramble of vines to anchor the floral stems. I live in California and recently had the pleasure to speak to Eleanor about birthday flower arrangements & delivery. Eleanor promptly emailed me the next day regarding my inquiry. From their website it appeared to me that they specialize in weddings and events. Fortunately, they make smaller arrangements as well. Eleanor was really sweet and patient and made great suggestions. We decided on something bright and cheery and I added that I would like ranunculus and hydrangeas. They do not have a price list available online, but she gave me a rough estimate of the different packages and sizes. We went with an arbitrary price that seemed reasonable + $10 deilvery fee + tax (in houston) it came to about $80. A little on the pricey side, but they did meet my expectations. The flowers were pretty and making someone feel special is just well...worth it! Great service and friendly staff. Glad to know I can count on them even miles away! First time leaving a review for them but I met John just over 10 years ago when I waited till the last minute to get some flowers sent to a restaurant for a birthday dinner and not only did he respond he actually went out of his way and made sure they arrived before us and were waiting on the table when we were seated. I have relied on John and Eleanor ever since, whether for weddings, funerals or special days. This most recent time last week was for my father in law's funeral. My daughter was married on 9/29/17 at the Parador in Houston and John did the flowers...which were the talk of the event. John spent time with both brides trying to understand their individual tastes and then took on the challenge of meshing those two visions into one. Each table had their own unique arrangement, and the two focal pieces behind the ceremony were spectacular. That space was beneath a dome, and very open but his work totally filled the area and created an intimacy that perfectly framed the ceremony. John went to such lengths to gather all the information and then from that point it was seamless. He went about creating the most beautiful setting imaginable with no drama or stress. He was fun, talented and actually had a calming affect when Hurricane Harvey had potential to ruin the event.
