The question you have to ask yourself sometimes is "somewhere familiar or somewhere new?" We went with somewhere new. Look, it's really pretty with what they've done, the music is fun, and the view is great. It was way too cold to sit inside. I really like what they did to the place. It looks upscale with high expectations. We sat down with a great welcoming. Talia the hostess/waitress/what we thought was the manager was super nice and accommodating. Our waitress, Claudia, again super nice but....needs more training. She disappeared for 15 mins and didn't hear an app we wanted (said it 3x) and my wife's burrito came with chicken instead of mixed. We did address the app missing to Talia and she did say it's Claudia's third day. So I get that, new plus still learning English is what she said. Food, cheese dip was good, salsa was good, I had the 3 tacos. Birria, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada. They were ok, the birria was solid enough. The Al Pastor didn't come with pineapple but again that's ok. We didn't get the green salsa I ordered. I don't know if we will be back. Maybe for Patio and drinks. The drinks did take about 10 mins at first then second round 6 mins. It's hard not to go to a place familiar to get solid food and solid service. Unfortunately the thing is, it's owned by the people who owns Diablo and it's about the same....so maybe it's their method.

The space is huge but it's beautiful. It took me a while to go through the menu because there were so many tempting options. They even have mojito and margarita flights. Hubby and I ended up with the birria tacos and burritos compadres mixed plus cheese dip to start. The cheese dip is a huge portion, nice and thick - it really sticks to the chips but doesn't get congealed. I don't think we've ever had cheese dip left over to take home. The burritos compadres were large - stuffed with meat. The meat was well seasoned and cooked. The star of the show was the birria. So good I'll probably be dreaming about it. Portions are ample and we ended up taking half of everything home. (Let's get real - I filled up on that cheese dip!) I wish I'd caught our server's name. He was so nice and knowledgeable. He told us about the various events at Maximo's and told us to follow them on Facebook for future events. We will be back!

They didn't even take off the Raging Tacos logo from the raging tacos template

Visited twice ... First visit service was slow and klunky but it was newly opened. During our dinner, we also had two young boys solicit our table to buy candy bars for their sports team fundraiser. They were just going table to table unchecked which wasn't cool. Second visit, service was MUCH better. We were seated right away, food came out fast and everything was great. Glad I gave them another chance. Docking 1 star because I was annoyed and confused when browsing their website. I finally pieced things together and figured out the website for this business is a $50 template they bought called "Raging Tacos" and they failed to update 90% of the stock copy and imagery. Basically they only updated the home page but if you click through to "Events" , "Find Us", even the online menu it's all made up BS (and half of it is in Spanish). Lists their address as California , etc. unacceptable and needs to be fixed...I saw another Yelper state they didn't even visit the restaurant because they website menu was all in Spanish. Just business 101.

Fantastic! From the food to the atmosphere to the service...EVERYTHING is top notch. Excellent chips and salsa! They offer a huge menu with many dishes to choose from! You cannot go wrong with the Quesabirria beef tacos served with rice and beans (I asked for black beans)!!! Also, the pork carnitas are delicious, too! The birria tacos are so tender, well seasoned, and something I'd order again and again! If you're looking for a wonderful Mexican restaurant in Little Rock, please visit Maximo Cocina Mexicana. We've been looking for a good Mexican restaurant since we moved here. This place checks all the boxes!!

Taco salad: without any lettuce! $14

Overpriced in my opinion. We paid $60 for 2 meals and a flight. The taco salad was laughable, small and didn't have lettuce. However, this Mexican restaurant is nicer inside than other local ones.

The service is consistently top notch. Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff help to make each meal complete. The ambiance is excellent and balances interesting decor with fun views to set your sights on while not beating you a million things to look at. The music has been authentic Central American which is nice to compliment the dishes. The cocktails are so good! Top notch ingredients made by bartenders who know the recipes well. No drinks here taste like high fructose corn syrup mix, the bar is legit. I'm a beer drinker through and through but here, I order cocktails. Now. The food. This is not Tex mex. There are some really delicious, authentic dishes here. The fajitas are done if the best I've had. Chips and salsa are some of the best in town. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen has been put together by an artist. The ONLY reason for not 5 stars is it is a bit expensive. I'm always a little surprised at the bill but hey, for good quality food, drinks, and service, I keep splurging and coming back! Give this place a shot next time you're in the mood for Mexican cuisine.

Got there a little early and our table was ready. Since it was a fixed menu, we only had a few options to choose from. First course I chose duck and pancetta, meatball, and my wife chose the Ahi Crudo. Ahi Crudo - flavors were good, just wish they would have gone with a sashimi cut over the thicker cut of tuna. It had a little chew to it. Duck and Pancetta meatball- probably the best seasoned bite of the evening, almost to the point of being too salty. The meatball was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Second course I chose the lobster bisque, and my wife chose the strawberry and beet salad. Lobster bisque - lobster meat was very tender, and you could taste the good salty water that they boiled it in. The base of the bisque was lacking a depth of flavor. I expected it to be more pronounced lobster flavor in the biscuit itself. It was good. It was just a different flavor than I was expecting. Strawberry / Beet salad - the salad was very good. I liked the cheese that they put on the salad. Luckily I was able to steal a few bites from my wife. Main course I ordered the New York strip, and my wife ordered the lobster risotto. New York Strip - when the steak hit the table, I was very excited. As you can see from the photos, it was cooked perfectly. From the first bite, I could tell the steak was tender, but there was zero flavor. I don't know if the steak was not seasoned at all, or if they were just playing on the drizzle over the top of the mushrooms in the steak to add flavor. But the overall plate was bland and flavor. I had to add table salt, which I almost never do. Lobster risotto- lobster risotto looked amazing. My first bite of risotto that I was able to steal was pretty bland. I tried another bite before my wife finished the entire plate! The second bite was much better had a lot of of the pepper flavor in the risotto. My wife said the lobster was tender and delicious. Dessert! I chose the Tres Leches and my wife chose the chocolate pot de creme. Tres Leches - this cake was probably the overall favorite thing of the evening. You could taste the vanilla and the cream. It was a match made in heaven. The frozen strawberries on top provided a good texture contrast. Chocolate pot de creme- this was an amazing dessert also. The depth of flavor in the chocolate cream was truly remarkable. You could taste the different chocolate. Rich and decadent for the last bite. We chose to add the wine pairing on with the mail. All the ones were pretty good. Nothing earth shattering, but all paired well with the meal. Service felt a little rushed, and I understand that valentines is a big day for the restaurant. We would not be halfway through a glass of wine when the next glass of wine for the next course would show up. It almost felt like our server was trying to push the pace of our dining experience. This review will ultimately get updated. Because I never judge a restaurant based on one experience. So we look forward to our next date night, where we can stop by and try the standard menu.

(We ask every year) Not expecting them to honor it because it's a BIG ASK in food service - they went ABOVE AND BEYOND. We were given champagne and they made a rum cake for us! We were crying with gratitude, the hostesses and wait staff were crying, and it will be an anniversary to remember. The ambiance and decor was edgy and modern. You could actually have a conversation while it not being too quiet or too loud. Oh and the food was fantastic! We ordered crispy rice cabbage salad () a patty melt, Khao Soi, and two cocktails. Unbelievable quality. Even better service! Our waitress, Parker, was knowledgable about everything on the menu, suggested the fries (don't skip those), and very attentive. We will be back.

Rating a 3.5 for now…read more Cool spot for a quick date night or one or two girlfriends night out for drinks. Atmosphere/Service: Okay art and cool atmosphere. No loud music so you can talk to and hear your guest. Some of the seating is family style and some individual which is cool. Drinks are amazing and staff is attentive so which made it great service! Food: Menu concept has a variety of food items. It has more Asian flare but also has a few items from other food cultures. Not quite a home run with all. The Appetizers we selected were good. I like the spin on the desconstructed crab Rangoon. It was really tasty and adding the cheese on top gave it a unique taste. The chicken wings were perfectly fried but sauce is required to develop taste. Which is fine if they were going for Korean Type fried wings. Dipping sauces were okay, chile lime is refreshing but not made for fried wings. Gochujang sauce was good and sweet chili heat were fine-Flavors were just as good as a store bought bottle. I was excited to try the crab fried rice but I found it to be dry and the flavor bland. It needed more vibrant veggies. The veggies were cut tiny so the flavors didn't come through like the roasted corn inside or the scallions. I couldn't taste they were in the rice. The "blue crab" was almost invisible. However if you use the sweet chili sauce on the rice it gives it a punch! Portion sizes were large-some too large. And usually that's a sign the food is probably not that great. Chicken Kimchi Stacker-The kimchi on the chicken sandwich was great but couldn't completely deliver enough flavor for the double fried bland chicken. It needed a special sauce to give it a kick. As for the entrees, we wrapped them up for take home. I added more scallions and rice vinegar and a touch of lite soy sauce to the fried rice. And I would probably go back to try other items. I would definitely return for the bar, and great Rangoon dip! Overall, No explosion or burst of flavors but it is well prepared and well presented food with a great staff.
