I reached out to Steve Kohn at SJK Consulting to read him an email I received which wasn't your typical scam or phishing mail. It used my 'go to' password in the subject line and throughout the threatening email and demanded payment to stop the hack from proceeding. Steve agreed that it was not to be taken lightly and made several recommendations while providing tech support as I attempted to change every one of my passwords. It took me quite some time to get through just four financial websites and the credit bureaus, but there are nuances to each site that stopped me in my tracks. Ultimately, I asked Steve to take on the project, we negotiated a fair price and today I feel safe from the hazards of a data breach and/or threat by email. Steve was patient, knowledgeable and professional at all times. He's helpful, responds rapidly and I unreservedly recommend him if you have any computer issues. You won't be sorry!

Huge display sections for home appliances, laptops, games, TVs and smart home products. Lots of open-box and sale items were available too. I came to the store to pick up an open-box online order. There were other members around the floor assisting customers too.

In mid-July, my husband and I bought an open-box Samsung Bespoke white refrigerator at Best Buy in…read moreRockaway. Our salesperson, Eric, was knowledgeable and patient, which made the experience positive. We left feeling good about our purchase and scheduled delivery for a week later. That's where the nightmare began. We received multiple confirmations for our fridge delivery scheduled for the following week between 9 AM and 1 PM. On delivery day, we got a text saying it would arrive at 2:20 PM, but twenty minutes later, we were informed it was canceled with no explanation. After spending the weekend on the phone with Best Buy customer service, no one could clarify the situation. We had already been two weeks without a fridge and were desperate. Another week passed, and again we were excited for delivery, only to receive another cancellation text. A customer service rep called and, due to a heavy accent, all we understood was: "No fridge, you must buy a new one." My husband finally reached someone in corporate sales, and we learned the truth: the delivery company had damaged our fridge. Best Buy had stalled for TWO WEEKS instead of being honest with us. We returned to the store and spoke with Eric and Sean, the store manager, who was professional and frustrated with corporate. He called corporate for us, but all they offered was $150 for our troubles. We spent over $1,000 on a fridge that was broken before delivery, waited weeks without one, and received nothing but lies. All we wanted was the fridge we purchased. Instead, Best Buy's corporate team left us without a refrigerator, failed to communicate honestly, and offered an insulting $150 for the inconvenience we faced. The only reason I'm not giving zero stars to the Rockaway location is that Eric and Sean went above and beyond to help fix what corporate destroyed. Unfortunately, Best Buy corporate and their delivery partner have lost my trust forever. I will never purchase a major appliance from them again. Update: I have never been so frustrated with a company in my life. After weeks of going back and forth with Best Buy and their incompetent delivery company, I finally gave up on the fridge I originally purchased and settled for a lesser model just to get something. We waited ANOTHER week for delivery--only for them to pull the same garbage again: cancelled 30 minutes before it was supposed to arrive. That's now FOUR Saturdays in a row they've scheduled and then canceled at the last minute. I've been over a month without a working fridge, my blood pressure is through the roof, my patience is gone, and apparently I can't even get my money back--so I'm stuck with Best Buy. This is beyond unacceptable, and I'm seriously considering legal action. Best Buy corporate and their delivery partner have zero respect for customers' time, money, or sanity.
