The entire wedding planning process can be a challenging and often stressful series of choices but when choosing our wedding videographer, this was cake! It took me almost a year to find the perfect videographer, I must have contact over 30 of them. I'm glad I patiently waited and not settled with a mediocre one. I hired Max Video Productions to film my wedding on 5/31/14. I decided on Max Video Productions after going to his website and watching his super high-quality, cinematographic wedding highlight films. I'd tear up watching each one--there was so much emotional artistry that went into these videos. I wanted mine to look THAT amazing. I was willing to spend a little extra to have a top-notch video of my wedding--and I would encourage you to do so also. After hiring Max, he was incredibly responsive by email (and I sent him lots of emails), and he was quick with getting the photography release form signed and to the venue. He's really low-maintenance and didn't ask many questions of me, but that was a relief for me as the bride. He and a second shooter showed up on our wedding day well-equipped and professional-looking. It's amazing how they zoomed around the wedding guests and venue and you could hardly notice they were there--the sign of a good wedding videographer. Max and his partner were fabulously creative! They captured every moment of my wedding beautifully, creatively, and in high-definition. I think they even used drones to capture some amazing way-up-high dramatic shots of the venue and surrounding area. They collaborated well with my photographers and my DJ on the big day, and they were very professional and easy to work with throughout. When my wedding highlight video was released a couple months after the wedding, I shared it with all my friends and family--it brought people who weren't even at the wedding to tears. My husband (fiance, at the time) and I were looking at multiple videographers trying to find one that we liked. I showed him work from multiple people, and the only one he liked was Max Video Productions (and for good reason)! Max and his team were truly wonderful to work with! He responded to my emails very quickly and all of his responses put my mind at ease. Max and his team use top of the line equipment and know how to deliver an exceptional finished product. They truly know what they're doing! On the day of the wedding, they showed up just a little bit early but they made everything so easy. They got along well with our photographer and they didn't have to bother me at all while I was getting ready! A+++++ One of our friends had hired Max as her wedding videographer a few years ago, and we were very impressed by the highlight video Max had made; so when we were starting our own wedding planning process, I still had Max in mind. My wife and I hired Max Video Productions for our wedding in October in Loomis, CA. I was on the fence of hiring a videographer for the wedding, as weddings are already very expensive. The best advice that our wedding consultant, Janice Twomey of Rue 29, gave us was: get a videographer! And she connected us with Max and his team. We were not a typical wedding because we had been together for 15 years, had 3 kids together, and then finally, we'd decided to get married at the request of my 93-year-old grandmother who asked us to get it together and do it already while she could still attend. We hired Max as a last minute addition to our already far-exceeded budget. We originally weren't going to do video! WHAT? I am SOOOO Thankful that we did. And I'm even more thankful that it was Max that we hired! Our wedding was at the Blackhawk Auto Museum which is, I don't know, maybe a 2.5 hour drive for him. Max was on time, courteous, professional and I hardly even noticed that he was there. I had some concerns that because he'd never filmed at my location that maybe he needed to visit the venue with me before the wedding due to potential lighting issues... he made a point to meet me there for a walk through on his way to another job. I found this to be an extremely professional courtesy after all, that's not in the contract. What Max provided us with, in the end, was magic! My husband and I really enjoyed having Max shoot our wedding in May. We easily set up a phone call and discussed our needs, and communicated well through email. We were very particular on who we'd hire as our videographer because we were married in a traditional Russian Orthodox wedding ceremony, which is unique to say the least. We were happy to find out that Max recorded a Greek ceremony, which is similar, and even sent him a copy of my parents' wedding video. We actually never met in person, which was fine, because we were confident that he'd do a fantastic job - which he did! Max and Chase never got into the way of the ceremony and were very respectful. They recorded amazing shots of the church, choir and details of the entire day. Everyone was blown away by the highlight video and our full length video should be categorized as a top notch movie! The editing was seamless and the quality is fantastic, which is incredible considering that the service was in Slavonic and the speeches were in Russian. We had a really fun time with Max and Chase. We worked with Max and his team for our wedding back in May and it was absolutely exceptional. In every single metric I would judge Max and his team, he exceeded it. When we started with vendor selection and contract structuring he was professional and worked with us to create the perfect package we wanted. He worked with our coordinator to make sure everything was set up perfectly. Day of, they showed up early and got every critical shot throughout the day. We created an especially challenging wedding day with our reception and ceremony site being 2 hours apart, and wanting pictures/videos at many of the in between places. However, even with the challenge, Max and his team was again exceptional. Perhaps the best part during the day was that we were able to really focus on the wedding - Max very rarely bothered us (I think he requested maybe like 3 shots?) but managed to get all of the right shots!. I loved not being bossed around by the photo/video folks to get specific shots - but instead being able to just do what we wanted. After the day was over, a few months later, we got the products: the highlight video and the full feature film. To say that my wife and I have watched the video 100 times is a giant understatement. The video came out absolutely perfect, and we just can't believe it. Somehow Max managed to get all of the important shots, all of the important people, and put it together in an artistic way that shows true talent. Every single person that watches our video has the same reaction. I can't believe the number of our friends that have watched the highlight video and then become obsessed with watching the full film. It really allows you to relive the whole day in a really special way. My wife and I were really back and forth on the importance of video for the wedding vs doing just photo - in the end I'm so glad we made this choice, the product we got out of it is something we'll never forget and has instantly become one of the most precious material items we have. I spent an entire weekend going through horrible wedding videos just to find the perfect cinematographer/videographer. When I saw Max Video Productions, I was just blown away by the amount of talent and delivery of the moments they captured from this couple's wedding. Immediately, I knew I wanted them for my wedding day. I contacted them 4 months before my wedding and I must've gotten lucky because he was available on my wedding day. The communication in between was a breeze, everything was simple and laid out clearly. No hidden fees or mystery charges in the end. The payment plan was divided into 3 so it helped us with the crazy process of planning a wedding. He even offered different methods of payments since I was in New York, planning a wedding in California. The timeline and direction was clear and Max & his team executed that perfectly. The day of the wedding, you won't even notice him and his team are there. They film everything and they're super discreet. I realized some of the footage was taken behind trees/leaves & at times I didn't even know they were present in the room. Our video took a little over 6 months, but trust me, it was worth the wait. Our highlight video was absolutely amazing, we received so many compliments from it. People thought we were part of an ad or a trailer to a movie- yes, his work is THAT good! Max is PHENOMENAL! My wife and I had debated whether we should get a videographer for our wedding or not. After getting a photographer and adding up all of our other wedding expenses, it seemed a bit superfluous. Then we discovered Max Video Productions. All of his videos, not just his wedding videos, blew us away. After watching a few of his videos, we made the decision to hire Max for our wedding, and we're so thankful that we did! Before the wedding, Max was very easy to communicate and plan with. For our wedding attendance of approximately 90 people, he brought two others to help him film. Throughout the day, I pretty much forgot that Max and his crew were there. There were a couple of moments where they would request certain shots (and occasionally repeat it a few times), but they were far from intrusive. Even our photographer commented that the video crew was very good about not getting in the way. It amazes me how they were able to capture everything so well! When we were finally able to see our video, we were simply in awe. Max is a one-of-a-kind video editor! Our highlight video is simply astounding; everyone that views it tears up and comments on how beautiful everything looks. Max did an amazing job of truly capturing the feeling of our wedding day. When watching the full video, I truly feel like I'm reliving that special day. And as a bonus, all of the audio (full ceremony including vows and toasts) from our outdoor wedding is crystal clear! Max did a promo video for our business and we were just amazed when we saw the results! He not only knew exactly what we wanted and understood our idea but even took it several notches higher.
