Picking a wedding photographer is the one thing that really stressed me out during the planning process. Photographers are expensive, and I had a budget to stick to, but a good photographer is one of the most important parts of the day. I talked to a bunch at the Dallas Bridal Show. The ones I really liked were way out of my price range, the ones I liked within my price range were all booked up or I just didn't mesh with and couldn't see myself working with, and the ones I could afford clearly weren't the best photographers. I was at a loss of what to do. Then I found Convey Studios. They were in my price range, and I loved the photos I saw, but to be honest, I wasn't sold at first. I reached out to Sesha who is such a joy to work with, and I liked her immediately. She explained to me that she has a number of photographers that work for her, and I would be using one of them if I chose to go with her. She let me know who was available on my wedding date, told me to look at their portfolios and pick out who I liked, and then we would meet up for a drink to discuss everything. I chose a few that I liked, but I have to say I was a little leery about it. I wanted to meet the photographer I would be working with. I feel like you have to get along with them otherwise they can really ruin your day. I actually just experienced this while in another bride's wedding. She didn't get to meet the photographer and the lady was awful and the bride was miserable. Going into the meeting, I of course was still unsure, and then I met Sesha. All my worries disappeared because she is in fact amazing. We sat and talked for a good hour. She got to know me and my husband as well as tried to understand the vision we had for our wedding day to the best that she could. She frantically took notes, asked a ton of questions that I never could have thought of to help her better understand, and then she told us that while the photographers I had initially chosen would be great she thought we would be a better fit with Copeland. I loved that she did that, and she made a great call. A tiny part of me was still a very little bit concerned that I wouldn't get to meet Copeland until our engagement shoot, but Sesha made me feel so good about the whole thing that I tossed that worry aside. Copeland ended up being fantastic. He was great to work with for the engagement shoot and the wedding day. After engagement pictures I was 100% confident in him for the wedding, and he was super easy to get along with, which made the day much less stressful. He called me the day before the wedding to go over everything, which was really great. He had no problem listening to what I wanted or didn't want and wasn't pushy about anything. Sesha put together a perfect timeline of pictures for the day, and everything went perfectly. He got so many great pictures. The best part is that he loves to be on the dance floor, and he gets this awesome array of candid shots of everybody. These are some of the best pictures. He also got some really nice ones of couples, friends, and families. And he made sure to check in with me about 15 minutes before he was scheduled to leave to see if there was anything else I wanted to make sure he got. Such great customer service. Once the night was over Copeland sent all the pictures to Sesha for editing. She does a great job by the way. We got a sneak peak of pictures about 2 weeks after the wedding, and then probably 3 days later we got all the pictures. I believe she guarantees them around 3 weeks. I thought for sure we would get them later because the timeline fell over Thanksgiving, but she exceeded our expectations and got them to us early! Such a great surprise. And we got so many pictures. 500+ with full print release. All of them are phenomenal, and I've received so many compliments on how beautiful they are. I could not have asked for a better team to work with. And while you have the right to print your photos however you want, Sesha offers really great prices to print them with a lab. I was stunned to see how reasonable they are. Don't stress yourself out looking for a photographer. Talk to Sesha (she's also a wonderful photographer), and if she's not available she'll hook you up with the best photographer for you. Seriously. Stop shopping around and set up a meeting with her. Convey Studios shot the photography and videography for our wedding in October 2017, and captured the memorable moments of our big day! From the moment that I saw Sesha's website, I fell in love with her style and knew that I wanted her as my photographer. She, and Convey as a whole, were more than a wedding vendor; they were my friends during my wedding season. My husband and I were married on October 2nd, and Sesha just sent me the link to our completed photos last night. Pretty good turn around, right? (She had even sent us about 2 dozen teaser photos the week before to download and share as we like). I found Sesha while searching on the Knot. I knew I wanted to find a great photographer for out wedding, but also someone who was affordable--my husband and I paid for everything for our wedding, and we had just had our 2nd child months before--so we couldn't afford to overspend. Sesha is very affordable. We met up a few months before the wedding so that I could look over some more of her work (the website had a lot of great examples too) and see if she was a good fit for us. My husband and I are very outgoing people, and he's known for being the loudest person in the room. I wanted someone who could capture this, as well as capture special moments with out family. Sesha herself is very outgoing and has a true passion for what she does--it's apparent the moment you meet her! She has lots of creative ideas for posing, and if you are interested in doing a photo corner for your wedding, she can help you with that too! (we opted not to do that, because the me as the DIY bride totally overextended myself, but she definitely made it easy had we chosen to do it) She touched base with me several times between the booking date an wedding date, and shared her own tips from when she was getting married, which just shows how thoughtful she is. Wedding Day was great. She arrived early to take photos before the ceremony as i requested, and took amazing photos of my two little girls during that time. Ceremony photos were great--she was able to capture many candid moments (like when my bridesmaid dropped the grooms ring :) ) and took the time to make sure the photos that I wanted were taken. I especially wanted photos of the families together , and candids of them with our kids--all of our family is from out of town/out of state, so it's rare for us to get together. I could not have imagined how nice the photos she took turned out! There are so many great shots of my kids with their grandparents, aunts, and of course, me and my husband. I absolutely cannot wait to share them with everyone. She also had great ideas for our wedding party photos during the cocktail hour. She was able to capture our reactions to each other, and framed some gorgeous shots outside of the venue. Sesha makes sure your day runs how YOU want it to--if you want things to move quickly so you can get to the party (which is what we wanted) she can do that. If you want more time for framed shots (like when we did family photos) she can go that route as well. My only regret? That I didn't find Sesha early enough to do our engagement photos. We got married on June 11, 2016 in Dallas, TX. Convey took care of portraits for our engagements, a save the date, my bridals, our wedding and even videography for the wedding. Ashley, one of the team's photographers did all of our portraits. Ashley is quiet and focused, a true professional. She's calm, easy-going and directs her subjects into very natural poses. Her best shots were the in-between moments for sure! All of our friends and family adore the beautiful, natural-looking photos she produced. Plus, she's just a sweetie. Turk videoed our wedding, and he did a stellar job as well. He captured great moments but kept a very subtle presence at the event (as requested). Ugh ... where's the sixth star .. I only see five. THE BEST photographer I could have hoped for ... I am always a bit wary of things like this because I worry that the product won't match my expectations, especially when it comes to intimate moments in life like the proposal, engagement, and eventually, the wedding.... BUT ... this lady!!! She is a wizard. I don't want to say that she was in my head .. because I couldn't have imagined the ideas she had during the shoot. The pictures were beyond my expectations and yes, I do have high expectations. I had some (pretty specific) ideas for my proposal and engagement shoot and Sesha went above and beyond to turn the vision into a reality. Yes, this is coming from a bit of a perfectionist. We got married on October 15, 2016 in Weatherford, TX. Convey took my bridal portraits and shot our wedding day. Sesha (the owner) is fabulous - she shot my bridals and they were FANTASTIC! We did the shoot in the morning at my venue, and I included my old show horse in the shoot. I don't think she had photographed many horses, but you literally could not tell, the images were WONDERFUL. Copeland and Berenice shot my wedding - they were punctual, upbeat, creative, and a GREAT team. We had quite a list of "family" shots we needed after the ceremony, and they were gracious and speedy - and the resulting images were awesome! There is something about the way that they shoot that really captures the emotion of the day and the moment. About a week after the wedding, we received a teaser album with a few select images, and they are FANTASTIC. I'm not sure how to write this review because I don't think I will be able to correctly express how amazing Sesha and Convey was! From my first consult with her I knew she was going to be perfect and I was definitely not wrong. To start, our engagement pictures were phenomenal and it was a blast taking them. Sesha is so upbeat, friendly, professional, and just fun that it made the day that much better. And at the wedding! she was everything we were hoping for and more. I love her photography because looking at the photos they aren't too posed, they aren't fake... she captured us. She capture the love and fun of that day without having to fake it and we are so thankful for that.
