Hoang came up with so many creative ideas for our shoot at Cedar Hill State Park.  You can tell from the photos that we were having a blast!  It felt like we were just hanging out with a friend rather than having a stranger lurking around us. :) He really captured us accurately and in the most flattering way. Before the shoot, Hoang was very responsive to our questions, especially about where/when to shoot (as we all know, DFW weather is rather unpredictable) and what to wear. I recently lost 40 lbs and wanted to feel reinvented, do something sexy, feel alive! I did some research and managed to find a couple of Groupon options. Everyone's work seemed played out and/or mundane. The typical pin-up style boudoir where the women attempts to be sexy while pumping gas in bright red lipstick and a bandana. Are guys really into that? Anyways, I quickly moved on to the next photographer on the list and immediately, I hit gold! Catherine Cooper's images more than peaked my interest. Her pictures told a story--as if you were watching a thriller with a crazy plot twist, and you're dying to know how it ended. I was so enthralled with her website and photos, I quickly scheduled a consultation with her. Cathy's punctuality and professionalism is what prompted me to schedule a photography session. She was so down to earth, pleasant, and impressively organized. She walked me step by step on how to prepare for my session as well as what clothes and hairstyles would work best for me. She wasn't pushy when it came to purchasing photo package upgrades and she didn't treat me like I was "just another client." She personalized my photo session with concentration on certain parts of my body that I wanted to showcase more than others. There's no one size fits all with Mrs. Cooper--every clients gets EXACTLY what they want... AND MORE! She provided makeup and hair services, as well as some light snacks during the session. I was 100% comfortable with Cathy; honestly, guys, her support and encouragement made me feel like a Paris Fashion Week runway model. The makeup artist was a doll…read more Although Catherine is wonderful with posing and photography her requirements were not consistent with her customers. After initially leaving a raving review she did not send me the picture she's stated she would send (in email). She also emailed my friend (whom gifted me the shoot). That she was requiring a $1000 by a set deadline before she would even edit my photos. I've never felt so judged in my life. This was not a "requirement" that was stated in the initial consultation with my friend prior to the shoot. I was not about to spend $1000 on pictures I had not seen. I am aware of the time Photography takes and how expensive it can be. This was not my issue at all. I do have a job and I do splurge on myself. One question she asked prior to my leaving is what were some initial fears I had. I mentioned to her that I am also a photographer (not professionally) and I am VERY PICKY about photography and I initially had a difficult time releasing all control to her. If you choose to use her be sure you are clear on ALL of the requirements. There are several Boudoir Photographers in this area. Do your research prior. I will be taking my money elsewhere.
