I did everything from my phone from filling out the intake forms to choosing the date and time to my appointment. A few days before my scheduled appointment I received another text to do a pre-check in and that was pretty easy and straight forward as well. The location is pretty central to west Chula Vista, with plenty of parking in the parking garage, I love how there's plenty of signage to kinda guide you were to park since the garage is pretty large, so you can park close to the business you're going to. Once you make your way in, the waiting area has these little kiosk screens to check in and BAM! That's it. SUPER EASY! It almost didn't feel real I sat down and got called straight away and without delay. The tech was pretty kind and friendly, he told me how long it would take and it was nice to see there was an actual timer I could look at to know how much time was left. So glad the facility was not sub zero temp. I was worried I would need a blanket but was comfortable the entire time. You can also setup an account to view your results online as well. They informed me my doctor should get the results in 2-3 days and that was it! It was just such a pleasant visit and if I ever get more imaging done I'd totally be telling my doctor to send me here again!

FNAS (Five Nights At Scripps)…read more Late Thursday night (November 13) there was a call from my house to 911, where soon after the paramedics arrived to find me in awful shape. The fire department radioed ahead to alert the hospital that they were bringing in a patient with a possible cardiac arrest, and off we went to the hospital. When we arrived (about a minute later) they wisked me into the ER cardio room and tried to put me under with strong medication to sedate me which of course that never works for me. Nonetheless, they gave me a shock from a defibrillator while I was fully awake and alert. It was painful and scary, what I imagine being struck by lightning would feel like. The next 3 days were mainly for testing why it happened and finding the cause with tests such as Coronary Angiogram, Ultrasound of the heart, and finally an MRI of the heart. During this time, I got to meet the incredible support staff and will attempt to name as many as possible, such as Joy from the ICU who was wonderful. When I was moved upstairs, I met RNs Diana and Vanessa. They had to remove my midline because my arm swelled so much and a few days later Vanessa came back to check on me even though I wasn't her patient. How awesome was that! Of course there was Zander who had to deal with me 3 days in a row (poor guy) and was an absolutely great, funny guy. CNA Kimmie also cared for me for 3 days who was very nice. Derek was my RN for the last night and RN Rose was for my discharge day. These were just incredible people who had put up with me day after day. No one wants to go to the hospital and be away from their loved ones, but they went out of their way to look after me, from answering all my dumb questions to making me feel like part of their crew. I had to undergo surgery to get an ICD installed and was discharged the next day (November 19). When I finally got to go home, I remember seeing my youngest child, my son, on my back patio talking to one of his friends and was so excited to see him, but had to take a sharp left to bawl my eyes out in his bedroom (my Grinch moment). I finally got it together and went to gave him a huge hug. I realized that I could have left him without a dad at 15, and that without proper care, things could have gone the other way, I might not have made it home. I'm sure that I'm forgetting names which I apologize, but know that I appreciate and respect every interaction that I had with all of the staff who were very wonderful and caring. Truly a special thanks to Tristen, Dr Gollapud (AKA the plumber), Dr Choi (AKA the electrician), the entire ER crew, AMR Transport crew (Carter, Wendy S., and Tanja), and finally the synchronized operation crew from "the Basement." Yes, the hospital needs remodeling and updating, but inside it has a heart of gold.

My brother, who initially brought him, was not feeling well and left right after updating me. Even though we explained this clearly, an aggressive security guard immediately tried to throw me out, called another guard, and they were getting ready to physically remove me while my elderly, confused father was somewhere in the hospital having X‑rays done. I was calm, just trying to make sure my father had a familiar face when he came back, but security refused to listen. The nurses were rough, cold, and showed no compassion; they did not even clean the blood from my father's face after his fall--I had to do it myself. The only professional and kind person was the ER doctor, who de‑escalated the situation when my father returned. The overall environment felt hostile and unsafe for an elderly patient and his family. The ER is also poorly signed and hard to find, especially compared with other Scripps locations like La Jolla and Hillcrest, which feel like completely different hospitals in terms of care and organization. I will never go back to this ER and do not recommend it to anyone, particularly if you are bringing in an elderly or vulnerable loved one

The spots are tiny, traffic backs up constantly, and getting in or out is unnecessarily stressful. Unfortunately, the parking is only the beginning. The quality of care at this location is extremely poor. It became so bad that I had to transfer my care out of this clinic entirely. I filed a formal complaint with the VA Patient Advocate's Office and also reported my former primary care provider and nurse to the Medical Board of California due to serious concerns about malpractice. If you need lab work, be prepared to wait up to two hours for a simple blood draw. Completely unacceptable. As a veteran with PTSD, this clinic environment triggers anxiety rather than providing care or support. This place has caused me more stress than help. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location if you have other options.

My follow up appointment has been rescheduled 3 times by this office. Do not come here if you need help. The 3rd time the call was escalated and that person said in the notes each time it said I canceled the appointments. She spoke to me accordingly, blaming me for the offices negligence. I cancelled none of them. THEY cancelled. Luckily I record most of my calls and captured some of the mess. I wonder what other false information is in their hidden records. Speaking of records, they don't use Epic MyChart nor any electronic records. Nothing is transparent or accessible. They don't accept any records from outside transferred in. So without any 'history' a claim was denied. Their response is they make their own history okay. They have but not a helpful one. The staff that do monitors aren't knowledgeable at all about the sensors. The imaging techs were good and that was the only positive. I write this review so people who need timely assistance will not be harmed. Further if you come, record everything bc they will falsify some events and leave you in the lurch. Run from this place.

She is not bitter, dismissive or non chalant like some physicians can be and if she is burnt out as some healthcare providers can get, it doesn't show. She is professional kind and patient. I'm so happy to have found her and this clinic. Would definitely recommend.

They informed me that x-rays are walk ins only so no appointment needed. I asked what time they close and they said 5pm. The next day Friday, i had taken an hour off early from work to get my X-ray done and got there at 4:30pm. Upon checking in, I was told that all the x-ray machines have been shut down and they do not take anyone anymore at 4:30pm. Pissed, I left and came back the following Monday first thing since they open at 8am (i again had to take an hour time off before work since i start at 8am). Upon checking un at 7:50am, the front receptionist informed me that they have not received my doctor's orders. Luckily, my doctor's office is just next door so I went over and got a printed out copy and got my x-ray done. Fast forward to Wednesday, March 25 after another doctor's consultation, my doctor ordered again for me to get another x-ray. This time i had taken more time off work to go to my x-ray and got to their office at 3:30pm only to be told that they had shut down their machines early that day since apparently the staff came in early that day and had done their 8 hrs already so they got sent home. I'm like, how am i supposed to know that since their supposed hours is til 4:30?! I am beyond pissed. Do NOT recommend this place at ALL! Go somewhere else if you can. I'd give this place negative starts if i could.

So I walked in, and found a sign on the door that despite their posted hours, they were closed for the day. I found out later the X-ray tech did not show up for work. I tried again the next day right after opening, and was informed that the wait time would be about two hours! So, I sat and waited, and sure enough, about two hours later, I was called in for the X-rays. By then, the waiting room was literally standing room only, full of dozens of not particularly happy people. Sharp needs to do better than this. The message seems to be that patient's time has no value. My previous two decades experience with Scripps provided that I never waited more than about 10 minutes for an X-ray. Sharp Hospital, you're a major health care provider in San Diego, please do whatever necessary to improve this unacceptable situation.
