The patty comes out as something that reminds me less of a burger and more as meatloaf. And to be clear, it's OK that Europe hasn't mastered the burger. I don't need it to. But others wanted to go here as a lunch near my client's office, so I was pleasantly surprised with the burger. Specifically - very flavorful beef, the right "density" so it didn't feel like meatloaf, a good grilled flavor, juicy without being overly greasy. Just a solid burger patty, I'd be happy with this in the US, no question. Lots of creative toppings, and nice hot crispy fries. I'm serious, this is a place I would visit with some regularity if it was near my house in Illinois. But it's in a small town on the Swedish North Sea coast. Globalization, I tell you.

I had a very tasty shrimp and rocket pizza, with lots of delicious little perfectly salted shrimps (how do they peel those?), as well as a steak sandwich that was tender (I hate pulling all the meat out from between the bread on the first bite) and flavorful with good fresh veggie toppings. The wait staff in particular were always super friendly, and really helpful recommending the local beers that we couldn't possibly have tried before. It's like they could tell we weren't from nearby. The place was usually doing a business too, maybe because it's one of the later night spots, but I actually think it's just a cool place. Lots of covered outdoor seating, with trick adjustable glass windows if you need to block the wind, plus heaters if you need them. Just a nice spot.

Enough about the beer. Even though their menu sometimes can feel a bit static it does change from time to time and the food they have on offer is usually of high quality. My recommendation is to try the mussels or any of the risottos since they have been the dishes that seem to be quite consistent in quality. Even though I really appreciate the fact that they offer a vegetarian alternative, since I don't eat meat, the quorn filets are usually quite dry. Go with a salad or another veggie option instead. Sometimes live bands (more in the line of a lone singer songwriter covering famous tunes) play but it is not something to write home about. They have screens were they sometimes show football and on certain days they do music quizzes.

The restaurant has full alcohol serving rights (serves beer, wine and hard liquor) which only benefits non-drivers due to strict DUI laws in Sweden, with 0.2 per mill blood alcohol content as the limit (0.8 in the US).

Meat is grounded & prepared on site. Menu is to please all meat lovers and offers a culinary excursion. I, myself, went for the halloumi burger and it was beyond expectation.
