Meat is grounded & prepared on site. Menu is to please all meat lovers and offers a culinary excursion. I, myself, went for the halloumi burger and it was beyond expectation. My three sons and husband ate the "real" burgers along with the mix fries and assorted sauces- the truffle sauce was to die for! My men were 100% satisfied with their palates being beyond satisfied & full tummies. They have choices for little kiddos too! Awesome outside seating area. Modern interiors. Selection of beers. A nice place to have lunch. Finding ourselves at Varberg…read moreFortress, looking for a place to have some light food. However this was midweek and the restaurant was not open yet. Outside, by the parking lot, we found Västerports Kök. I got the feeling this place just recently had opened. Outside there were lots of tables, however we chose to sit inside because it was a windy day. Inside there was lots of people. It kind of felt like all the citizens of Varberg had teamed up for lunch. Strangely - it didn't feel crowded at all.... The nice cafeteria had several long tables and some smaller, so we sat down by a long one with some nice people. The lunch menu consisted of 5-6 different meals to chose from for 95 SEK. We both had zucchini burgers with tomato sauce. Included was also salad from a huge salad bar, bread, soup and coffee. The salad bar had lots of different mixed salads with beans, chickpeas, sweetcorn etc. Besides lunch menu, there were also several other dishes. A very good meal! Loved the zucchini burgers!! Most Circle K's keep the quality surprisingly high when it comes to gas and fast food. And this one was a good one as well. After filling up the gas tank we took a seat outside on the lawn, which might not be the most romantic setting, but was surprisingly quiet and good for a quick bite. We had some Hot Dogs sausages with fries and a Burger. The Burger was pretty good - fair priced as well. Hot Dog was fine, the only bad thing were the pretty soft/soggy fries. But all fair priced, so no complaints there. All in all a good spot to fill up on gas and a quick bite.
