In June Tech B came to repair refrigerator which was frosting over. He melted the frost and replaced circuit board $$$. Had the same problem occur within 90 days (warranty) in Sept. Tech Z showed up and said it was the compressor and called Tech B, since he was the original repairman. Tech B shows up later that same day, he melts the frost, and places the corrupt circuit board back into my refrigerator. Tech B says he needs to order a new one and never returns to finish the job. So the corrupt circuit board is now back in side my refrigerator and I have not heard from Tech B nor the office. Do not use this company is my recommendation. Funny, my refrigerator seems to be working at this time. Sorry can't even rate them, but I have to in order to complete my review. read more

Worst company to hire. The reviews on the website are not real. 4.9 is inaccurate. The tech came on told me that it would be 700.00 to fix the frig drainage and that I need to fix other items. Not true. He lowers the price to 400.00 and to this day I have not received an invoice. It was like going to a car dealership where you have to haggle the price. Do not use this company. I should've looked at reviews first. The guy came and didn't know how to do anything. He had someone on the other end of the phone guiding him. He said we needed a new heating element that would cost $625 plus labor and the part was on backorder. I called Bosch and they sent me a new heating element for $39 which I got in two days. MAX charged me for the service call and have never yet called me to come repair the oven. As a side noe, the technician smelled like he hadnt bathed in 6 months and I had to air my house out. Besides saying he had a bad back and couldnt put my oven back under the counter. What a rip off. read more

Please do not use this company. My family recently moved to DFW and contacted them to hook up our washer and dryer - simple, right? The day after they set up the washer and dryer, we did our first load of laundry in our new home. About 30 minutes in, I walked into the laundry room and stepped in water. The laundry room flooded, with water seeping into two adjacent rooms, one of which had carpet. We immediately called MAX, and the lady who answered was dismissive, saying they were off that day and to call the next day to schedule an appointment. So, you flood my new home because you screwed up a simple job, and when I call during an emergency, you blow me off? Absolutely not. We had to call another company who fixed the issue promptly and stated that (obviously) the washer drain hose was not properly installed. read more

it's no wonder these people have a two rating. Danny, their technician is full of BS. Makes promises that he doesn't deliver on and that's probably representative of the entire company. So I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB. Installed a part with a warranty less than two months ago, and now our appliance is not working again with the same problem. And they don't return phone calls. From the technician to the people who answer the phone they are a lousy organization all the way around. Absolutely do not hire these guys. We had a repair guy, Bill, come out twice and he had no idea what he was doing. He said he could not find the leak of refrigerant with our fridge. We hired a more reputable company and they came out and instantly found the leak with a black light. They charged us $500 to replace the freon which instantly leaked and our fridge was not cool the next day. We reached out multiple times asking to speak with a manager and no one will call you back. Bill said he ordered a part that took 5 days longer than the SLA that he gave us. Then when he came to install the part, he did not install it and did the same repair. Which, the fridge was not cool the next day. He also refused to give us a receipt for the repair. read more

I recently had the most frustrating experience with Max Appliance Repair company. Our gas stove had an issue with proper lighting the burners. The initial visit to diagnose the issue with Max Appliance Repair cost $89. The technician showed up on time, was friendly and courteous. However, he completely misdiagnosed the issue and made us purchase two unnecessary parts that cost over $100. Since the issue was not fixed after installing new parts, I kept calling Max Appliances to schedule a comeback visit, but they never showed up and at some point stopped answering my phone calls. I had to call another appliances repair company and pay another fee for a diagnostic visit. The technician from that company was very professional. He correctly diagnosed the issue and fixed it on the spot. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Max Appliance Repair company due to the low professional level of their technical staff, and lack of response to repeated calls requesting a resolution. read more

Ill start with the good. They were on time and they answered the phone when I called. Now for the bad. Horrible customer service. Our whirlpool dishwasher stopped working. I called Max appliance to repair. They sent out a technician who trouble-shot to a failed control panel. Cost for replacement was going to be almost as much as a replacement dishwasher. I asked to give me some time to think about it. I called back the next day to ask them to order part and fix my dishwasher. I was told that would not be a problem. After a week of not hearing back I called again and was told that the technician had to order the part. Another week and no response. i called again and was told the same thing. Finally after another few days I received a request from the tech for the model of the dishwasher which they should have had already. I sent it to him. Another week no response. I call again. This time I'm told they have the part and need to schedule a time to repair and tech will get back with me. Another few days and no response. I call three more times and am told the same thing. Waiting on technician for scheduling repair. Finally after 3 1/2 weeks of trying to get my dishwasher fixed they tell me oh we don't actually have the part and can't order it. My impression was that they told me this because they were tired of me calling them. The woman taking calls never seemed to be interested in providing any customer service and was bothered that someone was actually calling to give them some business. I will never use this company and would never recommend them to anyone, unless I really didn't like the person asking. read more

First of all Yelp is displaying that I am in California; I am in Mesquite, TX. I called Max Appliance and Repair on Tuesday from a listing of vetted companies from Dallas County. My refrigerator had stopped working and they sent Bill within 3 hours of my call. He diagnosed a broken fan and I also wanted the display panel replaced. The parts had to be ordered and would take 3 - 5 business days to arrive. This was heading in to the Memorial Day weekend. Late Friday afternoon Bill sent a text to say he had the parts. He said he could come in the next 45 minutes so I said yes! He installed the parts and my frig is rapidly cooling as I type. Time will tell how long the repair will last; the frig is 9 years old and had no problems - until it did. I'm hoping for a few more years of life from it so decided that even though the repair was $$, it was cheaper than a new refrigerator. My garage refrigerator is 30+ years old so a girl can hope! All this to say - if I have a need for appliance repair in the future, I will call this company. read more
