Yesterday I went to watch Arsenal vs AC Milan for the Emirates Cup with my family. On our way back y, we thought we should try out Mawal Garden. I've heard a lot about Mawal Garden, so why not see what the fuss is about. Mawal Garden is located behind Hounslow High Street and is where El-Sham Restaurant was. The food is completely Lebanese. My first impression of it was impressive, the deco is contemporary but keeping the Arabian theme going on. We had decided have some shisha and shawama sandwiches. We were taken to back of the restaurant in open air to have our shisha and shawamas sandwiches. I can't say much about the food, but what I can say is the shawamas sandwiches were OK, I've had better. The service was very poor. It was Saturday night but wasn't actually a full house, matter of fact, it was far from a full house, but yet the sandwiches took forever to arrive. The restaurant has a policy that you can't have sandwiches inside and if they are trying to be exclusive, well lets be real here, its in Hounslow, it's not exactly the poshest place in London, fair enough if they where on Chiswick High Street, but it's Hounslow High Street. To be honest, the old restaurant's (El-Sham) service was much better! read more
