Coque de jour cocktails

I've always wanted to come here, so when I heard my friend managed to get a last minute booking, I was over the moon! You can smell the shisha from a mile away, me personally, hate shisha!!!! It's a pretty dark place, black and pink is their colour theme. You are then escorted downstairs to the basement, the restaurant is fairly small, but great for large groups. They have live music every friday and saturday, and also a belly dancer, she is pretty good. She will get you up dancing, literally!! The food menu is vast, great for vegetarians, pescetarians and also meat lovers! Ordered a variety of starters, Truffle Hommus, Calamari, Sambousek Cheese - Light savoury pastry with a Halloumi Cheese, Parsley and Dried Mint filling, Crispy Gambas with Avocado and Jerusalem Couscous and falafel. I loved the gambas, was so nice, crunchy, and the artichoke just made it go that extra mile. Also the light savoury pastry was yum. Calamari - nah!!!!! (Do not order that - so bad, really chewy) The mains on the other hand were ah-may-zing!!!!! Grilled king prawns, seasonal vegetable tagine is so good, the sauce is tasty, you can taste the authentic Moroccan and Lebanese flavours. The vegetables are nice and soft!! Stuffed vegetables are also nice, although not a fan of aubergines, but again so yum! The buttered couscous goes well with everything!!! My friend ordered two beef mains, fillet and cheek. He preferred the cheek, soft, tender, just perfect! I loved the grilled king prawns and the vegetable tagines, so good. Definitely coming back for more. Desserts were good! Chocolate fondant was overcooked, there was no chocolate fudge oozing out, very nice though, like a brownie! The sorbets were so good, mango, raspberry and pomegranate. Loved the mango one better. And the baklava, very moreish! Oh and the cocktails, freeking good, drank more than eating! Loved the bubble butt and Caribbean breeze and oh casba royal!!! It is pretty pricey, although it was a group of 5 but still pricey working out to be £71pp. So be prepared!! Definitely recommend this place, very authentic!

Mamounia Lounges brings Arabia's opulence and granduer to London's exclusive Mayfair district. The beautiful low level seating, adorned with scattered silk cushions, atmospheric lighting and delectable aromas can have very exciting effect on the nervous system. The traditional Morrocan menu has a lot of variety to offer ranging from a fusion of European and North African cuisines to some Middle-Eastern dishes. They have a very well stocked bar and the cocktail list is extensive which will be delight to any palate. Although smoking has been banned in all restaurants, the Mamounia Lounge can still serve Shisha as it is cristal based and they have an outdoors barbeque to prepare it all.

Their truffle hummus is to die for, we have gone back time and again for it and their delicious butterfly chicken.

Best champagne cocktails!

While it may be a bit on the pricey side, the experience is undeniably worth every penny, especially if you're looking for a night of shared dishes, attentive service, and great atmosphere. the mood is perfect for an intimate dinner or a celebration with friends, as it was when i came here for my birthday! the guac was prepared on the table, and had a great freshness to it, but was not worth the money imo bc it tasted pretty ordinary to me. same for the antichuchos de pollo - they were so small and tasted like regular skewers to me - they had a nice smoky flavor, but nothing that couldn't be achieved at home easily. i liked the trio de maiz, which had many different types of maiz, and was presented beautifully! the dish was very fresh and almost nutty. also liked their take on patatas bravas, which was perfectly crispy and with a delicious creamy sauce. love love loved the tiradito de pez limon, which had the most melt in your mouth yellowtail crudo/sashimi. it was paired with an amazing slightly spicy green chili sauce, and overall flavors were phenomenal. the orange tobiko wasn't there though... the salmon was one of the best things i had that night - perfectly cooked and tender, melty and delicious! amazing flavor pairings, scrumptious overall! dessert was one of the highlights of the meal as well. the churros were citrusy and fried to perfection, and paired with a great sauce. my personal favorite was the passionfruit mango pavlova thing, which had such a bright tartness! everything was served on what looked like homemade pottery, so lovely! the price point seemed a little irrational for what we received, but everything was delicious, and the overall experience was amazing! highly recommend if you're feeling a bit posh or just want to treat yourself!

They proceeded to charge me £100 for the pleasure of making a reservation with them. Even though I was reaching out to them 3 hours early to let them know I can't make it. We ate at a great restaurant and enjoyed it thoroughly. I guess there is no reason to try Coya.

The lounge is perfect for an intimate date night with the low lighting and cozy couches. Parsnip (£24): Their take on the espresso martini! I hate that it's the best one I've ever had. I hate it because I don't live in London. I also hate that no one else to my knowledge has thought to add whipped cold foam to espresso martinis. A non-alcohol alternative was also listed with its respective ingredients (I assume this is wherever applicable), and I appreciated the inclusivity. Currant (£23): I believe this was their version of a Palermo! My friend really enjoyed it and didn't find it too tart. Both still and sparkling waters were £5.50. Service was lovely, and we didn't feel rushed as they were closing. We came on a Wednesday evening so we were seated immediately, but I bet the wait can get long on a weekend. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone visiting London to experience their unique menu and drinks. Worth the $32 price point!
