Very nice staff. Clean and spacious location for waiting. They had a children's section also. Very informative in going over what's needed and cost breakdown. They also offer a credit card that's 0% interest for 6 months. They are now open everyday, Monday-Sunday. Very convenient. read more

I have always had amazing experiences with this location. The staff are extremely helpful. They always take time to explain the problem to me and why it should be fixed. They even let me see the issue for myself. Their prices are fair and they even have payment plans. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I just finished scheduled maintenance with a tire rotation. They got me in and out quickly. They always treat me and other customers respectfully and have great prices on tires. I highly recommend them. read more

Arrived at 8:25AM and asked if they could look at a damaged tire on my car. It had a nail in it. They said yes, it will be about 30-45 minutes because their tire tech was "just getting started." At 9:45, they hadn't even looked at it. They must be short handed. I got my keys back and left. So happy I did. I drove about a mile to Just Tires on Clearwater Largo road and they had the tire repaired within 15 minutes. I should have never stayed at Mavis. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the negative energy. No smiles, poor greeting, not happy to see customers. The waiting area is like a morgue. No TV, music, poor customer experience overall. I need to replace my tires next year and Mavis will not be on my shopping list. read more

I needed to get my tires check during my lunch break and they made sure they took care of all my needs. The week before my tires were low, but I did not have much time, so they put air in my tires. Every time I had a problem with my car, they were there for me. I would recommend their service whenever you need anything done to your car. read more

Very friendly manager and staff. I brought a 1973 car in to check alignment and they spent over an hour trying to get their modern equipment to work on this. They charged me nothing. read more

Great Customer service! Came In due to my car dying in the middle of the road, They helped me with all my needs immediately and were very understanding. They explained everything perfectly and it shows that they are the best of the best! Good with prices and offer weekly payments to some services Definitely would recommend to anyone who needs anything fixed or done to their car! read more

Mavis Tires & Brakes - My Nissan Altima getting fixed by joe ! Thank you! - Auto Repair Near Me - Largo, Florida

Great service and pricing. Special thanks to Tamir the General Manager! He is the reason I continue to use their services.

Another tire scare. The team there. Checked it out removed screw no leak. Great guys no charge.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the team at Mavis. I bought a replacement tire today, thinking we'd need to bring it back to my car at home with a flat and figure it out ourselves. However John took the time to come down the street with me and install the tire where my flat tire used to be. I'm so thankful for that because I feel safe driving on that tire. When I got my car to the shop (for the first time, and it was already repaired!) to tighten the bolts and fill the other tires with more pressure, Timur, Shane, and Julian were equally awesome. They weren't just helpful; they were funny and so easy to talk to. Sometimes, you can just tell when people are genuine on the inside. Thank you, John, Timur, Shane, and Julian- I'll think of you guys first next time! read more

Sat there 8 hours for 4 tires and had a perfect alignment when I went in left with it completely sideways.

Great customer service the manager put air in my tires. He also helped other single women that were elderly. I've used this company before and highly recommend the customer service that is provided. Thank you read more

I'll never take my car here for an oil change again but I respect that they took care of me. I needed a same-day oil change for my car and didn't want to wait at the dealership. This place charged me $75.42 for an oil change. And that's with a "$10 off coupon". $60 for 6 quarts of synthetic oil. To put things in perspective, 5 quarts of synthetic oil at Walmart is around $20. They seriously need to fix their pricing. Also, someone who works there tried to tell me my brakes are "extremely worn" and "need to be changed immediately". The sales tactics are extreme to say the least. I just got an oil change at the Ford dealership and they did a brake inspection and said nothing. And the oil change was only $32. While I wasn't satisfied, they did have some happy customers who walked out so I respect the business. Can't win them all. I was able to get a full refund so I have no complaints. read more

Went in with a small tire off a hand truck to have tube put in. They don't usually work on tires this small but one of the installers gave it a shot. Too bad the brand new tube didn't hold air. But thanks for trying. I recommend this store for their helpful people! read more

My Hyundai Elantra's engine check light (called Malfunction Indicator Lamp) was on, and a friend said he was very happy with Mavis at 1190 Missouri Ave N in Largo. Turns out they can do a lot more than tires and brakes. They were busy the day I called, but said the following day was good. This was way better than my dealer, who said it would be a minimum of 7 days before they could look at it. On my way to Mavis, more warning lights came on: lower tire pressure in two tires, and a couple more warning lights, but the car drove fine, and I drove the rest of the way there without a problem (less than a mile). After looking at it, they said that the gas cap was not completely closed, and this was the source of the engine check light being on. So everyone make sure your gas cap is closed after you gas up if you have this kind of car! They also put some air (I guess nitrogen) in the tires, and that took care of everything else. They didn't want to charge me anything, and they were really nice! I'm taking my car here in the future if it needs something they can do. read more

I sent this email to corporate customer service and never got a reply. I guess they really don't care. Wow, you need to train the people at 1190 Missouri Ave, Largo Fl 33770 how to schedule their appointments. Silly me, I thought when I scheduled an appointment that I would get taken in close to my scheduled time. Not here. My 2:00pm appointment on 2/8 Turned into a 3 hour 15-minute appointment and me waiting there the whole time. There were so many opportunities to avoid this like call me before my appointment and see if I could come in at 3:30 (that's when my car finally got in) or tell all the drive in people around 1:30 that THEY can't get their car worked on until 3:30, etc. What a painful $1,250.00 experience at this store. read more

Wow, super fast service from the whole team with a great result! I went in with my brake pedal almost hitting the floor and needed help to get my brake system fixed right away. The price was right, good value for the amount of work done, and I got my car back that night (thank you for staying open a bit late). I felt respected as a customer and my husband and I are very pleased. I will go back soon to get my valve cover gasket replaced (which the mechanic spotted and recommended I get handled). read more

Yesterday I had to get tires on my mini van, and went down to the local Mavis Tire shop on Missouri Street, in Largo, FL. The prices were good. I mentioned to the manager at the counter that my spare mini tire was needing to be put back under the vans frame, as this is where it is typically stored. The mechanics there tried for a while to get this tire back under the van. Then they called out Julian. Julian was amazing. He knew what he was doing and spent extra time on this for me. In the end, he fixed my problem and sent me on my way. It rare to find someone that committed to service, thanks Julian! read more

my 2019 infinity had sudden battery issues. when I first went by I asked if they could just do a system check. Joe stopped what he was doing and ran it. Took him 15 min. Free of charge! Thought we were ok, so I left and then had to return frantic 30 min before closing. Not only mechanic Lenox ( who was off the clock heading home) make a last minute to pickup a new battery. Joe and Lenox worked together installing battery in record time. Still closed late for me. Timur was manager on duty choreographing everything. These guys were exhausted, and hungry... yet had nothing but smiles, kindness and professionalism towards me. Thankyou so much!! read more

Worst place ever for 1 they have your car all day the forget to do an alignment then today quote a price of 89$ go to pick up car bill was over 500 with oil change I was like wtf apparently they misquoted me and now either I pay or they keep my car for hours to take off the parts they misquoted staff or assistant manager are terrible and rude DONT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE absolutely the worst place read more

Went here to get two tires. Tires were in stock and they gave me a good price, so far so good. The problem was it took them about 3+ hours to do a 30 minute job, and they weren't that busy. Was watching them move around in slow motion, then the manager tries to sell me on a brake job. I used to work on cars, and my brakes had half the pad left. Won't be back. read more

Brought my car in to have a tire repaired. Timur was honest and said he would be more than happy to repair however ivv b4 would have to come back to pick it up. They were closing within the hour but promise he would repair before they close at 6pm. I came back at 5:55pm and car was done. Very satisfied customer for a last minute emergency. Will use them again with our other car read more

First phone call I had with them they were not helpful at all so I call back within 15 minutes got a hold of someone else who was much more helpful. The first guy when I called I was asking about a specific tire and he said yeah we should have that, and I asked if they did any kind of discounts for first responders or vets and he said yeah I think so but didn't know the discount, I then asked if I can make an appointment for Saturday and he said that they don't take appointments just to come in whenever. When I call back the second time the guy said none of that was true whatsoever the tires I actually wanted I had to have them special order. And appointment was not necessary but helpful so I wouldn't have to wait. The second person was able to provide me with a price quote reflective to what I found on their website. When I call to confirm my appointment they didn't seem to know anything about a timeframe that I was supposed to come in. When I did actually arrive the price was different than what was quoted. The manager did adjust it to as close as he could get as what was discussed on the phone. And honestly I didn't have a complete breakdown so I couldn't guarantee what the cost was so he did his best to make it work for me. Two tires and an alignment I was told would take about an hour and a half over two hours later my car was ready. By that time I was very tired and overly frustrated - it had been a very long day for me. When I spoke to the mgr about the multiple phone calls- He had explained to me that sometimes the shop guys answer the phones and they don't have all the answers and then he said sometimes the corporate picks up which in my case was the second phone call. I explain to him that if the shop guys don't know what they're talking about they shouldn't be answering the phone because all it does is add frustration for customers so much they I almost didn't buy from them. He apologized and of course was very kind. read more

They are Honest! I went to Kauffman/ mavis today in largo thinking I had a nail in my tire because my tire light came on in my car. I thought I saw a nail in my tire. The awesome tech looked at it and said it wasn't a nail and that I probably just needed a little air. He filled up the tire and the light went off. He could have sold me a bill of goods and I'd be none the wiser. I really appreciate his honesty and when I do need work, I will go there! read more

I'm always nervous going into a shop as a female by myself. I've had experiences in the past where I've been quoted three different problems with three different prices, getting taken advantage of because I don't "speak car". You can say I'm a little traumatized. Nevertheless, I had to get my tires replaced and I got them done here for the first time. They were beyond sweet to me, made me feel comfortable and got things done in a timely manner. They even gave me a complimentary brake light fixing because they're awesome. It's a breath of fresh air, knowing I have a trusting mechanic from now on. Thank you Mavis Guys! read more

I would give zero stars!!! Just walked in to get assistance manager seen me walk in but he went to garage area. Never came back. I stood there for 15 mins and walked out. Sucky customer service. I came in to replace my brakes and rotors because how bad of shape they were in! Although they were able to change them out for me, they told me that I needed to do a brake flush and it would be a 99$ charge and I agreed! Luckily I was watching the technician who was working on my car and I noticed that he had only did the brakes and rotors and none of the extra services that were required! I had brought it up to him and he said he had forgot to do the brake flush! So when I go to pay I was still charged for the services that was not complete! Luckily I noticed and luckily I was watching the job being done because if Not I would have paid and went on with my day! I kinda feel like they tried to take advantage to get more money! read more
