Russell and his crew did me a huge favor when I needed a new tire put on the rim for my trailer. They also helped my mom when she had a blowout. Very easy to work with and not looking to extort you on pricing. read more

Honest, courteous, and a great value. Russell goes out of his way to accommodate--he's even taken us in minutes before closing. His positive attitude and energy set the tone for the whole shop. You can tell the team works hard and takes pride in what they do. We'll definitely keep coming back. read more

They tell you they will get you right in and get there and the person that made the appointment is not there and the person that is there keeps telling you it won't be long and when pressed, tells you it could be an hour more after waiting 30 minutes. The location in Glen Cove on Forest Avenue is even worse, never again will I get sucked in waiting and waiting. read more

This review is for store manager Russell, for his professionalism and leadership. I made no appointment in advance. It was really impressive to see Russell who was the only person working at the shop, both in the front and in the garage taking care of three customers ( including me) at the same time in a very professional and efficient manner. He was so patient and articulate as to service and time. I waited for 1.5 hours for my two front tires installed. But I am still appreciate that Russell took me in as no appointment made in advance. I would say I would maintain a loyal customer to the business because of Russell. read more

This review is for store manager Russell & his team at Glen Cove. Theyre very friendly, helpful & professional. Russell also very hands-on. I made an 8am appt, arrived around 7:53am and store already open, Russell immediately greeted me & get the paperwork started, not only did they fix my tire, they also did tire rotation to ensure my car is balanced. He patiently explained the process & safety reasons. The price is also very reasonable. I was done in an hour! This Mavis is farther from me but i don't mind driving extra 23 mins, as we have very poor experience at the Great Neck location. Hope corporate Mavis would acknowledge & support Russell's team. This is the Mavis service that my parents told me about. read more

Went in for a puncture repair on a fairly new tire. They tried to up sell me a brand new tire saying they couldn't repair the tire. I asked them to confirm the damage that couldn't be repaired, they only could showed me that the tire was rubbed on the outside because of the flat. Took my tire to another tire technician and we both inspected inside and outside of tire. The tire was fine and is repaired now. Either Mavis tire of Glen Cove tried to up sell me an unnecessary new tire or they are incompetent. However you look at it, it's not a good place to bring your car. read more

Inconvenient service: I previously made an appointment for a tire alignment at their store and when I arrived the day of the appointment at 8am the service employee tells me the machine is "not working" and I need to go to the "other" store for the tire alignment. So inconvenient and such a waste of time! You can judge. Update Sept 30th: I called consumer solutions department, nobody answer my call. Mavis Discount Tires brand doesn't really care about customers nor doing business with them. A shame! read more

as a regular customers that comes in to get his tires fixed every time I get a nail or need a new brake job Russel at Mavis has always showed me exemplary work and professional customer service. Russell was professional, courteous and knew his stuff. Didn't try to upsell me I told him what needed is it OK? Let me take a look and did the work wonderfully. I got to take my hat off to him because he showed me I had another issue. Told me it didn't have to be done now, but I should be watching it. It's very rare you find people like this. I'll be coming to the shop again.... read more

brought my car in for a tube up and alignment before i made my trip to Colorado. Carlos and his crew were amazing. Carlos brought me to the back and showed me how my tire has a bubble in it. Thankfully he was able to catch it before I made that long trip and potentially could've blew my tire out. I have been in Colorado for about three months and my car has yet to give me any issues. I would highly recommend coming here since you get all your questions answered and I felt completely comfortable with the whole process. read more

Although they have most of the tires you need for your vehicle most of the time the prices are extremely high, then you have to pay for labor which is about 150.00 an hour and they get their hour(s) in! Better off ordering it online first but if there's an emergency seeing if the local scrap yard has a spare(s) it will save you more money! Online look up tireeasy and they ship to your local dealer and tires are affordable! read more

Terrible service!!! I ordered the tires I need and been told to come over at 10:00am next day to change it. After coming a little after 10 they are telling me my tiers won't be there until 4 pm!!!! First of all I totally planned my day and had my friend with to drop me at work after I leave my car there. And now my day is totally ruined! And the other thing I've been told one total price through the phone and now they are telling me it's going to be 100$ more!!! It's ridiculous! I think the person I spoke to was Tyron or something like that, and he wasn't helpful at all, instead he was messing up with numbers and told me 2 different prices. After asking him how can he help me or what should I do next, he remained silent and looks like he doesn't know what he is doing there. I'm definitely looking for another place to do the job as this one is way below normal! read more

This place damaged my car during a routine tire rotation. Service is slow and overall poor. Stay away !!

Zero Stars! The waiting area is filthy and smells terrible. The employees had on Gators not even proper masks. Horrid customer service from the front desk, I believe Mike. He was EXTREMELY rude to ALL the customers AND technicians. He roughly pushed a tech aside to get to the computer, it was insane! I came in for a flat tire patch. When the tech came back in with my paperwork I had to go up to the guy at the desk to ask what the deal is and I got an off handed curt response, "you need a tire", with no explanation and no options given. I don't trust these guys to fix a hang nail much less a tire! Two people there BOTH had to bring their cars back TWICE because the problem wasn't fixed properly, and both were simple jobs. Absolutely incompetent! Do yourself a favor and RUN! read more

Carlos and Solomon were very helpful and communicative during my car tire change process, had a flat, brought it in on my 2020 Audi A3 and they took great care of it. I've now had an oil change and a tire change here in the past month, so I obviously enjoy their service. Thanks guys... read more

This is the worst service ever, I replaced four new tires, Cost me almost $800.- they lost one of the wheel center cap cover. The store manager (tyree)he lied to me the entire time and made me wait 2 weeks and didn't solve anything. Now i have to spend about $90.- to replace what they lost. read more

Made a appointment online for a oil change for 2pm it's 3 still waiting for them to take the car to start it.

Went in for a Oil Change on a Sunday. They helped me and did the job and had me in and out fairly quick with a reasonable price. I would have given 5 stars but after I got back in the car my steering wheel had oil on it as the tech did not clean his hands off and also they did not include the typical sticker in the windshield to remind me of the next oil change interval. Aside from this everything was great. read more

I needed to replace two tires and Pirelli directed me to Mavis as my closest dealer. They did not have them in stock and arranged for them to be shipped from another branch. I went in three separate times for the 'install' to find the promised tires had not arrived. Even the third and final attempt was a disaster as the tires they had sent were wrong so I had to wait two hours for a redelivery. The icing on the cake was that they tried to charge me $40 more than the price they had quoted. I told them to put the old tires back on and that I would go elsewhere. read more

Brought my car in because the tire light was on. They filled it with air and it seemed ok, but I knew I would need new tires. Sure enough, 2 weeks later the light is on again. Researched tires and went in to ask if I could get all 4 changed. They told me they could give me an even BETTER deal on tires. Ok, so they give me the price and I call my husband. He said no, stick to the tires I want you to get on the car, I like the brand I picked out. I said ok. I tell the guy, sorry, I would like to get the tires I originally wanted (they were MORE money than what I was being offered). Suddenly, they don't have them in stock and say oh, give me your number. I'll call you when they come in, should be a day or two. Well, a WEEK LATER I was still waiting for a call! I figured I would try Mavis by Broadway Mall. I called there and asked for the same tires. I was told to bring the car in on Saturday and I could get them changed (this was a Thursday). I said ok, 2 pm is fine for me. On Friday, Hicksville Mavis calls and says come in around 9 am on Saturday. I said oh great, I'll be done early? He tells me no, the truck with the tires comes at noon!!! I said I would like to wait with the car, so why would I should up hours before the TRUCK arrives? I said can't do it...either I come at 2 pm or I can't bring the car. He said come as close to noon as you can. Fast forward to Sat morning and I'm ironing and doing housework. I get a call at 11 am and they say "the tires are here, are you coming in???" I said ok, I'll be there earlier than 2 pm, but not right now. I managed to get there by about 12:30 pm. I probably waited an hour but they replaced all 4 tires. Needless to say, I am STILL WAITING for the morons at Glen Cove Mavis to call me and let me know my tires are in!! It has been almost 2 months!!!!! read more

I'm new to Glen Cove, and knew I had to get brake pads. It had just snowed, and I could to go to my regular mechanic. Mavis was open, and was close by. They took care of my brake pads and did a great job. Today, they squeezed me in to take care of a burned out headlight. Both times, Z was very helpful and professional. I recommend them highly. I will be back when I need new tires. read more

I was just in with my Kia Optima today and had amazing help to fix my tire considering I wasn't really prepared to have to run around this morning to get this flat fixed. They took me in quickly and I was out within 2 hours. Five stars for the customer service but I have to say a very disturbing event happened after. I spent $180 in total today just for the mechanic at the end to come up to me and my boyfriend and say he would pay to watch me and him have sex. I SPENT ALL THAT MONEY JUST TO BE TOLD THAT? REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH THAT WAS THE MOST INAPPROPRIATE THING TO EVER BE SAID TO A PAYING CUSTOMER. I was ready to make another appointment for my car but I will NOT be back. I will be calling the store manager tomorrow and complaining and filing a police report. I WAS A PAYING CUSTOMER AND SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN DISRESPECTED OR TALKED TO LIKE THAT. so uncomfortable and so not going back. read more

Not accommodating and apathetic when something goes wrong. After an oil change that cost more than they quoted, oil leaked on my driveway. The mechanic did not plug it right and also stripped the oil pan screws. . And misdiagnosed as a Quattro malfunction on my Audi when it just needed an alignment and new tires.
