The pricing is competitive (even for a Chevron) and there is never really a line. It's surrounded by a nice lawn which could be ideal if needing to stretch or let the dog out during a long drive. I really have come to enjoy the market, and would compare it to more of a grocery store feel than a mini-mart. It feels large with its high ceilings and multiple aisles. The store itself is very tidy and offers a great selection of items at good prices. I was always a fan of the beer cooler in the back corner, where you can walk into a completely separate refrigerated area and select from a great variety of spirits. If you're driving down Highway 32, this place will definitely be visible. Give them a go for your next small grocery purchase.

They created an entire 3rd lane between each gas lane for a REASON. I think people think they're being considerate by just waiting but so many more people would get through way quicker if they would go forward. Unless people are inconsiderate/thoughtless and park further out when getting gas (which sometimes happens - please don't be that person), you can get through. Idk what some people are on about with the "get less gas mileage than other places" but I completely disagree. I get the same mileage per tank even when I end up having to go somewhere else like when traveling. I find the quality to be high; I've never had any issues with my vehicle after consistently getting Costco gas for like a decade. Hands down my favorite gas. Service is good. They always have an attendant walking around and they are attentive to any spills or needs you request such as if you are disabled, you can honk and they will come to you. Since there's no convenience store, they are focused completely on the gas.

The extreme caution that should have hit me before we plunked down our 3 grand cash hit me only after taking the car to Penner's and finding out everything wrong with it. Cracked engine mount, no rear brakes, massive oil leak, shredding belts, bald tires. Jerry's estimate for this work was about what it would have cost to fix the engine mount alone in my neck of the woods. Jerry was sympathetic to our situation and knew we couldn't take the car on the 3 hour drive home. Thanks to his willingness to turn on a dime for us and fix all the problems he found in less than 30 hours at a very reasonable cost, we seem to have added a good car with lots of mileage left to the family "fleet" without significant inconvenience and while still paying less than retail. I'm still wondering if buying this car was a temporarily insane decision, But thanks to Penner's, we might actually have a decent, safe car that will see our kid through college & beyond. It was a stopping point for me many times over the years. Blue Oval is a mini mart at a gas station, but they offer so much more than your standard cashier kiosk. You can find an excellent assortment of booze (they did a fine job catering to the largely student-aged crowd), inner tube rentals during the summer for Sacramento River floating adventures, hot food, a wide variety of general merchandise, and snacks galore. Everything is well-priced, too. They are located directly across from a Walgreens and a Safeway, but certainly have been able to hold their own. I enjoyed how this store was open late. The customer service has always been prompt, and the overall vibe is laid-back - though, don't try to purchase booze with a fake ID as they scan them well. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking to elevate your mini mart game, or if you are in need of Burnett's vodka - they have every flavor under the sun.
