Keep in mind this is a basic replacement, so I paid $98 for him to be in my house 10 minutes and he wouldn't even tell me the hourly rate. I reached out to B&B Appliance. They reached back out to me within 5 minutes and asked when I would like them to come. They were upfront about the cost for coming and when I said tomorrow, I was shocked to get a reply saying no problem. They said between 8:30-9 am and they arrived within that window. It took them no time to find the problem. They had to order the part and said it should be in by Thursday, and they would call that morning (today) with an ETA. True to their word a call came in early, and we were told between 11-1. Once again, they came in the time quoted. They talked with my husband for a while and discussed the type of issue we were having, saying it was not the first time they had to replace that same part in a Maytag. My husband was very satisfied with them. Rest assured if we have any future appliance problems, they will be the people we call. But, I'm kind of glad it took three calls before I reached someone at B&B Appliance Repair. It wasn't an emergency, but had it been, they would have been out there the next morning. Instead, the owner coordinated with my tenant, and the stove was fixed in a timely manner. The bill was sent via text to me which allowed me to stay home and tend to other matters instead of driving 60 miles to Winchester. I own a duplex which means I have double the number of appliances. I know who to call next time one needs repairing. And I'll bet anything, I'll have to call just one time.
