Finally a vegetarian breakfast spots! Ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes Grits with the pepper jelly on the side. The Fried Green Tomatoes were crunchy and fresh. The grits were both cheesy and peppery with a creamy finish. The texture of the grits were t thicker ground of the grits so the mouth feel was like a farm to table sensation of grits from scratch. The mocktails were excellent and made custom to order. Bonus they have Peach juice! Service was customer service excellency! The ambiance of the restaurant itself is very posh and modern. Perfect for dates and also fantastic for families. They also have high chairs too.

Enjoyed an absolutely delicious breakfast here! I ordered the Floyd's Lumberjack so I could try a little bit of everything. It included eggs (any way), protein (I chose bacon), a biscuit, gravy, and grits. Everything was delicious but omg the biscuit was the best I've ever had! Service was great too, and I'd love to come again the next time I'm in town.

The food was amazing, the service was great and communicated with us the entire time. The atmosphere was modern and posh not quite what I was expecting from the outside but was pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend!

We came as a big party of 22 for family brunch and we had an incredible brunch! They were great at accommodating us so that we could sit together and enjoy each others company and the food was spectacular! The biscuits are the most softest buttery biscuits you'll ever eat! They can be a bit dry but not in a bad way, just more like flakey. We are from FL so we aren't local but we will for sure return when we come back to SC!

Well, this was an interesting experience. Upon entering its appearance is almost exactly the same as the previous business, Luna Rosa, and there is nothing wrong with that but I was expecting something different. As you walk through the entrance towards the register to order, you will notice a huge menu to your left with multiple items listed. There are not many options for vegetarian's, and I had to ask if I could have a biscuit with egg and cheese, as that is not listed as an option. The young lady at the register was extremely friendly and helpful. If you have never been to this location, it is very much self-service, which is not a problem, but the flow of how they have things set up just doesn't feel right in my opinion. I ordered a coffee, biscuit with egg and cheese, and home fries... all were delicious. I truly hope this establishment finds its groove and becomes a staple within Mauldin. The food was delicious and the employee taking my order was very friendly and helpful. I believe some of the other employees may need coaching. Pros: Delicious food Cons: Not a good flow for ordering, getting your coffee, and then back to your seat, and the jelly station off in the dark corner. A young man working there, venting to another employee about somebody named Rico and dropping the F word multiple times. Dirty seat and table top (as shown in picture).

New, second, location of this restaurant has opened and we visited during lunch. I had heard about this in the Upstate Business Journal and on a local social media site. This is a casual restaurant with an open seating area, including some outdoor seating. Also they have applied for a liquor license. Which makes it interesting. Casual, open, several televisions and a planned full bar makes one think "sports bar." But here, they make scratch made biscuits every day and the goal is to serve them as "heaping comfort food." So they are loaded. An example is the "Maverick Biscuit Sandwich": Tillamook sharp cheddar, scrambled egg and choice of fried chicken, bacon, ham, sausage or fried bologna. Or the "Whistle Stop BLT Biscuit": Buttermilk biscuit, fried green tomatoes, house made pimento cheese, bacon, artisan greens and lemon vinaigrette. We both had the "Hangover": Buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken, bacon, scrambled eggs* and candied jalapeños, topped with homemade gravy. Which is $13.00. I chose to have the gluten free biscuit option, which is nice that they have it, and no gravy, in an attempt to reduce the gluten. There are other items than biscuits, like fried green tomatoes, burgers, french toast, grits, etc. Definitely a heavy meal place. My egg was overcooked, bacon was tough, not crispy tough, just tough. The chicken was bland and under-seasoned, and a little bit dry - you know that chicken breast dry texture, yeah, that one. Overall, it "could have been better" (2 stars) but since they make a good attempt at gluten free it is upgraded to the 3 star, Okay. I think this has a lot of potential and will find its crowd, but it is in a off beat space. I am not sure if they are shooting for breakfast, brunch and/or lunch as the thing here, or maybe all of the above? It seems to be popular at the other location and hopefully, they find the niche at this location.

This is one of the few places (other than fast food) in Mauldin for breakfast. There's a huge selection of breakfast sandwiches. You order at the counter, serve yourself drinks and grab a seat in the dining room. We had the Hangover- a fried chicken biscuit with egg, jalapeño and gravy- and an omelet. Both were delicious. The coffee is from West End Roasters and the juice is fresh squeezed. The food was great. My only complaint is price - we spent $50 with tip for breakfast.

Great service. Best biscuits in the area. Love the bottomless mimosa option. The newly renovated space is perfect for a weekend brunch.

We had a large party and they accommodated easily with two servers for the whole group. The atmosphere is great, I love the decor and the polished-casual vibe. The bar is so cool (that sliding ladder is what dreams are made of), lots of TVs to watch the game without messing up the chic decor. Indoor and outdoor seating and the bar opens up to the outdoors. The staff is very knowledgeable about their offerings, particularly the tequila. However, a dirty martini is maybe not the bartender's specialty. I was asked if I wanted it dirty, extra dirty, or "nasty." I said just a little bit dirty. It came "nasty." Womp womp. But they do have blue cheese olives, which is a huge plus! The oysters are delicious. Our group got 4 dozen. However, on one of the trays, almost all the ice was melted by the time it reached our table. Also both times I've been, they forget to put little spoons in the sauces that come with the oysters, but they never forget the crackers! For the rest of our meal, I got the shrimp and grits, my partner got the tuna poke bowl, and we split a Caesar salad. My shrimp and grits were delicious, tons of shrimp, nice presentation. Tuna poke bowl was good and the soy sauce was a nice addition. I love a Caesar salad, and the flavors on this one were great, though it was served on a very warm plate which was weird for a salad. Overall, STIR has so much going for it. I really, really want to love this restaurant, but every time I go it's missed the mark on some small but important things. It's new so I think this is just one of those where you've got to keep trying to work out the kinks. Hopefully they'll get there! I'm rooting for you!

Would come again solely for the atmosphere - great indoor/outdoor bar with a lot of TVs. Came here on a busy Saturday evening. The bar is huge so there were plenty of seats available. If I could give this place 5 stars solely because of the raw chef I would! He welcomed us as soon as we sat down, he was super friendly and helped us navigate the menu. Unfortunately, both of our meals fell short of satisfactory. However, the atmosphere was spectacular!! I ordered the Salmon, medium well. It looks incredible in the picture but the inside was cooked rare. The outside edges were edible. It was a wrap once I bit into a piece of bone. As a picky eater, all of this freaked me out and I was no longer interested in the dish. The person I was with ordered the chicken piccata (not pictured). One important note is that her chicken piccata was breaded (fried?) which we both found to be a bit odd, she did not enjoy it. However, our whipped feta appetizer and parm fries were incredible!! Would come back here just for the atmosphere and a quick bite, not for dinner.

I was hungry and didn't know what or where to eat, not like there is a lack of options, but did I want ramen or something more local in regional flare? I picked the second one. I ended up at Tupelo Honey because fresh southern fried chicken sounded amazing and this place wasn't going to break the bank. I guess this place is a chain but I didn't know this until I was eating. The staff were beyond friendly and attentive and they answered all of my questions about the food. The restaurant was super clean. I ended up ordering the half bird with original seasoning on it. The seasoning the put on it is a crystallized honey power and something else in it, it gives the chicken a nice sweet flavor but not overpowering. They also have a spicy version for you spice lovers. The half bird came with 4 pieces as one would expect, the crust was crispy and the chicken was awesome. I was eating the dark meat and couldn't get over how juicy it was. The real test as you all know is the breast, is that going to be dry? Nope, it was so moist and flavorful, it was a home run. I guess they brine their chicken for some good amount of time and it shows. My sides though I wish I would have gotten more adventurous, the meal came with two sides so I got a salad and the fried potatoes as a recommendation from the waitress. They were good but the mac n cheese looked better. Overall this place is great and I would go again. It's right downtown and the service was fast and friendly. Great place for some fried chicken .
