Don't do it. Save yourself a 5-month long headache by going with an actual professional. Your Local Mow Man does not even have the classification of a D-28 that is REQUIRED by the state of California to professionally install an automated gate. Look up his license #1079969 on the Contractors State License Board website, see for yourself. We discovered this recently and it shows in the workmanship that is already failing 30 days post installation. Geronimo is the owner of Your Local Mow Man, I did ask as by month two I was ready to speak to a supervisor as he consistently exhibited a lack of accountability. It took me 5 months of his unprofessional behavior to finally get fed up, request my final invoice and file a formal complaint to the Contractors State License Board. He was the cheapest bid and we got what we paid for, cheap workmanship. I would have given him zero stars but I must admit the fence line looks okay...for now. Be sure to measure your fence if you do use YLMM, I had to hound him to acknowledge his shortage of 32'. Yes, you read that right, not thirty-two inches, thirty-two FEET of fencing. Consider yourselves warned, if a picture says a thousand words, you decide.

The process and the results were again fantastic! The initial bid price was reasonable in our assessment and with a comparison. The final price was exactly the initial bid price with no uplifts, change orders or other surprises, despite some adaptations needed. The materials were all top quality. The equipment included scaffolding with some well-done ground-level engineering for level and stable footing on our sloped lot. The preparations included much masking and some disassembly of gutters and downspouts, all of which was done with skill and patience. The painting itself was all beautifully done with proper equipment and skilled technique: siding, windows, doors, gutters/downspouts, decks, deck rail and fencing... Wow, it all just pops it looks so nice, and now with another ten years or more protection from the elements. The crew was professional, courteous, safety-conscious and efficient. All comments, requests and observations that we made were accepted and acted on with no hesitation. Glenn Hamanaka, his manager James and the whole crew were a pleasure to interact with. Working with Hamanaka Painting for this challenging house-painting job was a very positive experience, once again. We are satisfied beyond expectations with the results. Thank you, Glenn and to the whole Hamanaka Painting team!

I felt it was a fair price, I signed the quote, and he came out and did the work less than two weeks later. He did an extremely neat / clean installation. He went above and beyond to ensure that all of the existing wiring was up to code. In a few cases he pulled new romex to replace some sections of cable that did not have a ground wire. The work looked professional and he even caulked around the box to be sure everything was water-tight.
