kare kare
Dani R.

We ordered the garlic rice, chicken and pork skewers, kare kare, lumpia and lechon kawali. I thought the lechon was really juicy and crispy, garlic rice had good flavor, both skewers were good in bbq flavor. The kare kare to me was okay but I think that's my taste and lumpia was nice and crispy and juicy. Will definitely come back again!

Stopped by with a big group of friends after church service last Sunday and had a great time trying various Filipino dishes. I was excited to see various breakfast platters on the menu and ordered a tapsilog for myself; my husband ordered the lechon kawali because it's one of his favorite dishes, and we split the lumpia and turon with the rest of our group. The lumpia and turon were both excellent - I loved the thin wrappers of the lumpia and it was perfectly crisp. Filling was very savory. Turon was not bad - I feel like the filling was a bit dry, but I liked that there were also bits of dried jackfruit (?) mixed in with the banana. The fried beef in my tapsilog was pretty dry and tough; I wouldn't order that breakfast platter again, but the garlic fried rice was good and the fried egg was perfectly cooked. I tried the pork in my friend's tocilog and it was quite good too. My husband's lechon kawali was great; the meat was tender/juicy and the skin was puffy and crisp. Others in our party got various items like the sisig, adobo, and beef stew, and enjoyed their meals as well. Service is pretty slow here, especially when the restaurant starts to fill up, but it's a great option close to home and I would definitely come back to try other menu items in the future!

4 Piece BBQ - Pork, Lumpia - Outstanding!

We love this place. My wife and I recently decided to eat here on a whim and absolutely fell in love. It's a brightly-lit strip mall style ethnic restaurant with a small section for Filipino style groceries in the front and it's ran by two very sweet Filipino women who were patient and kind and very welcoming to us. We had the lumpia, which were delicious, the bbq pork skewers, which were exquisite, and the chicken inasal, which is an absolute must. We've done maybe three pick up orders since our first visit. Please visit this hidden gem and enjoy.

It has been awhile since I've been here. But Mauro never fail me. It was very good. I ordered the grill tilapia, mongo beans and pinapaitan, and I ate it all. No leftovers. The service is always on point. The place vibe is always positive. Come and check them out.

Beef kare-kare - beef stew with string bean, eggplant, and peanut butter sauce

We just stumbled on this place in a small area where a cluster of Asian eateries are located. We don't have much experience with Filipino food, so we took this random opportunity to try. We came in after lunch hour on Saturday. There were only a couple of people inside, but I saw people come in for takeouts. The lady at the order counter handed us a paper menu, but there were no pictures to show the food. However, we noticed pictures of some popular dishes on one of the walls. So we ordered a couple of items that looked delicious to us. We got the beef kare-kare, which is a beef stew with tripes, vegetables and peanut butter sauce. The peanut taste was obviously there, which we liked. However, it was a bit blend, not savory enough. We did like the beef, eggplants, and some organ meat in it. What we liked much much better was the pinapaitan soup, which is made with beef, heart, and tripes. The broth was very delicious! This was much tastier than the other dish. We also liked the accompanying shrimp paste, which has a sweet, savory salted shrimp flavor. They have other typical dishes, like bbq pork, chicken, etc, if you don't have a liking for organ meat. This place also carries assorted food items, like bread and cake, tapioca drink, instant coffee, canned corn beef, liver spread, spam, and many others. Food is authentic here as the place is run by people from the Philippines. But don't expect too much service here. The one that takes our order was also the one bringing us the food from the kitchen. Like most typical Asian places, you come for the food, not much for the service :) Give it a try. You may find something you like.

Lumpia
Michelle C.

The food is great, but extremely small portions. The quality is superior, but for this particular restaurant, I would've expected more quantity that would be par with the quality. The food was good, but I wouldn't come back due to the pricing. Service did not impact my review. Food (3.9/5): Sigsig- Great flavoring and we asked for extra lemon packets. It was good! Lechon Kawali- Good, the skin is very crispy, but lacks some flavor. Pairs well with the sauce that came with it. The sauce very much carried the Lechon. Lumpia- Good as well, but nothing crazy. Dash of herbs made it interesting. The rice given was normal, but the meat and rice ratio was off-wish there was more rice. Service (Average) Since it's a very traditional Filipino restaurant, you can't expect much service. We went on Thanksgiving afternoon and it was not busy, but lots of take out. The lady was nice, but she was busy working, not that great at multitasking. Ambiance (Average): We went on Thanksgiving afternoon and it was not busy. Lots of take out. Looks like every other Filipino market/restaurant. Nothing crazy. Stars deducted to the pricing not validating the food size. Also, the Jumex drink from the fridge was overpriced. $5.99 for that drink was shocking.

Disappointed of the service. It took almost 40 minutes to served the food. I ordered Lumpia, Nilaga, Kare Kare, Sisig and Halo halo. The place is good, lots of table. All the food I ordered are bland in taste. Sisig was burnt, Nilaga meat had an awful taste. Mas masarap pa ang chewing gum i-chew. Frankly speaking! Lastly, the server not friendly, it is expensive not worth a penny. Not to recommend. Needs improvement

Cameron Rellenado & Garlic Fried Rice.

Highly recommend! I was in search of a fried wrapped shrimp. This shrimp which is not on the menu official, is also stuffed with ground chicken. Usually served with steamed rice but I wanted to try the garlic fried rice. The owner was so nice in explaining and answering all my questions & even added a small history lesson. :) highly recommend!

I really do need to venture out and find these hidden gems in the city. A friend of mine found this place for us to try, and I'm so glad she did. It's a small restaurant with some Filipino goodies you can buy while you want. I ended up ordering the chicken inasal and bbq chicken skewers to try. They were both delicious, but I was a fan of the chicken inasal. We ordered lumpias for table, and they were okay. I've had homemade Filipino food before, so I was spoiled with that. Someone had ordered pancit with chicken and veggies, and it was HUGE! You can definitely share that with a few people st the table. Overall, I was pretty happy with the place and will come back to try other things. Parking was easy which is a big plus in my book. No alcohol if you are looking for a place that serves.

Pork Sisig

The Pork Sisig is so delicious!! As well as the Lumpia. We will be coming here again and again!

Parking: Good and open Staff: very friendly and helpful and patient Experience and interior: good amount of space inside no problems there! Food, is very average. I would try it out if you want something specific. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend but they are very nice so that's the stars.

From the get-go, I appreciated the easy-to-digest menu (pun intended), which made ordering a cinch. My partner and I settled on the Lechon Kawali Kare Kare and Beef Pares. The Lechon Kawali Kare Kare was served with the lechon kawali on the side, separate from the sauce and veggies, which allowed it to retain its crispiness--a small but great attention detail. The dish is solid from a taste perspective, especially when paired with their bangoong. You can also eat the lechon kawali on its own, and there's a separate (tasty) sauce/dip for that. The Beef Pares was also great from a flavor perspective, but would have appreciated the meat to be more tender. Overall, the portions were pretty sizable, and each dish came with its own rice (the Beef Pares came with garlic fried rice). Service: Great! Waited on by a young man, who was attentive and professional. Also, came in on a Saturday afternoon to virtually no wait. Ambiance: Casual. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

I found this place thanks to Instagram and it was soooo good !!…read more We came here with a party of 6 and we came Sunday. It was definitely lively !! Luckily we tried to go before church let out and all the heathens (haha) thought the same thing and it was busy. They were really sweet in the service, kept apologizing for food coming out late, but we didn't think it took that long. So we basically had the left side of the menu. Our favorites were definitely the Lechon meal, the Ube pancakes, the Longinista meal, than the Spam meal. My husbands favorite was the Pandam pancakes. They were sweeter than the Ube ones. We got 5 meals, 2 pancake meals, 6 drinks, and an order of Lumpia, all for $108.00 WOW !! That was so cheap, to feed 6 grown adults. Loved it !!

I stopped by for a late lunch and ordered the Tapsilog with sliced beef, egg, and rice. My first impression was great. Everything looked clean and spacious, and everyone was so kind and welcoming. The restaurant is also tucked inside an office building, which I thought was such a cute and unexpected little spot. My food came out in less than 10 minutes, so service was quick! The rice portion was super generous, especially compared to the amount of meat you get. As for the tapa, the flavor was a little different from what I'm personally used to. I'm from California, and the Filipino food I grew up eating tends to have a different flavor profile, so this version was new to me. The beef had more of a tangy, very sour flavor and aftertaste. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing at all, simply not the style of Filipino food I'm accustomed to. I think this comes down to personal preference more than anything! I didn't end up eating as much as I expected, so I was still hungry afterward. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another dish to see what else they have to offer. Overall, the space was lovely, the service was wonderful, and everyone made me feel welcome. It's a beautiful small business, and I hope people continue to support them!

We wait another 25 mins and are THEN told that they cancelled our order and will refund us. Really?? Just like that? No offer to give us a beverage for all of our time and energy we just wasted? Contacted customer service to see if they could make it "right" and all we got was a "we are working on improving" really? I bet they tossed out a ton of food that day; when they could have just given it to us while we were waiting -- like hey" what did you order?" Me" 4 sandwiches, 4 drinks and 4 sides " - them" ok , here you go- Bye!" ! What a waste. The entire episode was ridiculous and we were very hungry! The young ladies behind the counter were overwhelmed and looked clueless as they called out names for walk-in orders, yet nobody showed up to picked them up. Meanwhile the rest of us were standing around looking like idiots for nearly an hour waiting for our online order. So serving people inside took precedence and online customers were relegated to some odd combo of a numeric code and guest order code on a display screen. Some had codes and partial names. Nobody in the crowd understood the code/code & name/code. It was a big guessing game. Why didn't someone take charge? I could have gone behind the counter and filled orders faster for online with whatever was left for those who didn't pick up in house orders! And don't get me started on the mounds of chicken just sitting under the lights waiting to be packaged up! The entire scene was like an I Love Lucy episode with the chocolates loading up the packaging ramp and no customers were able to eat

It's a spacious space with a compacted grocery on side, dining and karaoke stage, and then passing the food line is an extension to the coffee shop next door. Great place to relax, find your singing community, and enjoying some comforting Filipino food. FOOD / DRINKS Bilao (means wooden platter) (Recommend) You're welcomed with a medley of Filipino good eats - bbq skewers/pork belly, fried tilapia, lumpia, shrimp, egg roll, and rice. This is a traditional delight so if you're looking for the Filipino experience and comforting flavors, this is your best bet. You have flavorful savory meats, vegetal okra, garlic shrimp, and some crispy/cackling fish and lumpia. You definitely need a group of people (5-8) to finish this. Sago't Gulaman (means tapioca pearls and jelly) (Recommend) For a nice refreshing drink, this felt like sweet tea. A good balance of tapioca pearls and jelly that didn't overwhelm the drink.
