I purchased a sweat suit for my granddaughter who I was planning on seeing on vacation but the cashier didn't remove a sensor from the jacket. So I went to the store and asked them to please remove it so I can ship it to my granddaughter but they told me they couldn't do it without the receipt. I told them I spend hundreds of dollars at their store and I would gladly give them my DL if they doubted me but they refused.

Carol immediately made me feel comfortable. She was warm, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took one look at me, helped me find the right size, and somehow got it right almost immediately. What could have been a stressful and discouraging shopping trip turned into a genuinely positive experience. Carol made me feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable in my own skin. Her kindness and encouragement meant more than she probably knows. Customer service like hers is rare these days and she is a true asset to Boot Barn. I do not support Target or it's policies but I had some Target Circle points expiring and I wasn't…read moreabout to let them keep a penny more than I could take from them, so I stopped in here to use it to get some treats for my dog. I'm actually not even sure how I had the points as I haven't been to a Target in a long time . There is one product that I can't seem to find anywhere else that I did purchase online within the last year so I assume that's it. Anyway, despite my obvious disdain for this company, I was very surprised at how nice and clean the store is. I really liked that they had size inclusive mannequins and models. That is definitely not something I had growing up and coming here and it's a step in the right direction. They have a grocery section which , although small , was clean and well organized . I found the Oura rings that I have been hearing about lately on display and they had lots of Star wars Lego sets on display as well which was pretty awesome. I hated that they also had some cute shirts that I wanted to get for my husband, but I refuse to spend my money here unless it's absolutely necessary. The lines were short when I went to check out and the cashier wished me a happy birthday as she had to enter my birth month and day to use the target circle points for the purchase. It was actually quite nice. Still, despite my good experience today, I will not return to this store until they make a genuine effort to instill progressive policies and vow to treat EVERYONE with respect.

I am back! I was in Stockton recently and dropped on into the Chicos women's clothing boutique…read more The shop is located in the Lincoln Center right next to the Trader Joe's. The shop, like all Chicos was beautifully designed, and had all the inventory gorgeously displayed. The styles range from classic timeless, resort wear, casual, flashy bedazzled sequins, to night on the town. Chicos is revamping their clothing lines and marketing to target a more diverse age bracket of fashionistas. I could tell with the current summer inventory. The shop is smaller than most other Chicos I have shopped at. But they have a section of Soma lingerie. The lingerie is beautiful, feminine, and quality made. That brand is part of the same company that owns Chicos. Not all Chicos sell Soma in their shop. So that is a bit of a bonus for shopping in the Stockton Chicos.

However, this visit I was met by a cold and disconcerting African American employee. As a shopper who spends $300-$400 per visit my patronage is generally a welcomed retail event. Being more interested in my retail experience, I completed my shopping and upon checking out I engaged this employee and asked if she was new at this store. Her shocking response was "...I an the manager and I have been here over 10 years!" Then she just walked away! Wow! No further conversation to recognize that she was continuing to be rude after never acknowledging my store presence or the large purchase I was making. Had the other sales personnel not been so nice and deserved this sale, I would have walked out and purchased nothing. So glad to not have encountered this manager on my other trips. I returned a week later with my sister another girlfriend, who I introduced to Chico's. This manager was off and it was the usual welcoming and friendly shopping environment. My physician sister inquired about the treatment I'd received and we were given all the information for this manger and full apologizes. However, no defense provided for her which means she must treat them the same! Another rating will follow for the 5 Star followup visit when this manager was not present.

Footaction in the Weberstown Mall in Stockton, California…read more Part two of our journey: Footaction is located on the southern part of the mall right next to Dillard's for those who don't know. If you have been reading my reviews and checking out my tips. You should know that I do a bit of scouting beforehand. A little reconnaissance helps out a lot. I knew that phase two on getting the kids some more new shoes was about to be in effect very soon. So I came in a few times to look around and see if I liked anything too. So when we arrived a few days ago to check things out. We swarmed in and then spread out like a hand fan. I just stayed back and let the kids explore and see if they can find their "Perfect Pair" of shoes here. The staff on hand asked my Ex-wife and I if we needed help. I said "give us a few" I just walked up to all my children to see what they liked. Because I didn't want the staff here to bring out like twenty plus pairs of shoes lol. Footaction is basically like any other shoe store in the mall. That basically sells all the top brands. I guess you can say we were on the hunt for some exclusive shoes they only sell here. I didn't notice anything special. But the staff was very good to us. I felt bad for one of the guys helping us. He thought maybe he did something wrong. But I just told him. "We're on a mission and this mission is going to take a while". So yeah we'll be back very soon. End of part two of our journey done :) Vincent D *VD* Enjoying the simple things in life

Sally Beauty Supply in Eastland Plaza…read more We come to Sally's once a month or so. We come to this location or the one on Pacific ave. My eldest daughter is in cosmetology school. So beauty stores are her favorite stores to come to. Sally's carries a lot of beauty supplies but she picks out what she needs. So for everything that's for Cutting hair, Make up, Nails, Manicures, Pedicures, Waxing, Perms and Hair Coloring. That's basically what she picks out. I'll say this, it sure does get expensive lol. A majority of the items I don't know what they are. I'm familiar with some of the merchandise they carry and little by little I'm learning a bit more. I'm basically my daughter's guinea pig. When she wants to cut my hair, color my hair , manicure, trim my beard and wax my face (when I don't have a beard) Sally's is our first choice to get all the products we need. I know Sally's sells a membership card called the pro-card that sells for $5 a year. I believe the discount is around 10%or 15% of you're purchases. I bought it for her a while back. But since she's in cosmetology school she got a better discount card through Sally's. The place is very small and the staff is very helpful here. Anytime my daughter asked a question the staff on hand knew what she was talking about. I love going to places where the employees actually know what there selling. I prefer this location a bit better than the other location. But my Princess prefers the other Sally's than this one. So yes we'll be back because my Princess needs her Beauty supplies. American cancer society Discovery Shop on Alpine Ave in Stockton , California…read more I came in today because I was looking for a few things. Bike parts (BMX) , children toys and Men's clothes for yours truly :) I didn't succeed on bikes parts because they don't carry them. For the toys I noticed some stuffed animals and books for the young ones. The Mens section is very small, basically one rack for pants and tops and one sweater rack. I found a few pair a pants that I would wear. Some Dockers for $8. The Levi's were $6 but all the sizes were to small for me waistline 30-32 no bueno :(:( I'm thick and curvy ,so I need my pants to be minimum waistline 36 but I prefer 38 :) The children's section is about the same for clothes. The toys are put above the clothes so you can see them displayed at eye level. Now for the woman section it's about 90% all women's items. I didn't get the chance to check out every single item they sell. So I took a few pictures to help out :) The staff on hand today was two. One girl on the sales floor and the other holding it down on the register. The girl on the sales floor did help me out on showing me around a bit. The place is well kept up and organized extremely well for a tight space. So yeah I'll definitely be back. Oh on a sidenote when you Yelp check in you get 10% off your purchase. Disappointing Experience -- Staff Conduct Reflects Poorly on a Worthy Cause…read more I want to start by saying that I genuinely support the mission behind Discovery Hospice and have visited this thrift store with that in mind. That's exactly why my most recent experience was so disheartening. While shopping, I came across an item I was interested in purchasing, only to find it had already been set aside in a pile of other merchandise -- reserved by an employee for herself to buy while she was actively working her shift. Customers come to this store to support hospice care, and it's unfair for staff to have first pick of inventory during store hours, pulling items before shoppers even have a chance to see them. The situation worsened while I was waiting in line. The customer ahead of me had spent a considerable amount of money and was interested in an item kept behind the counter. She was given permission by staff to step behind the counter to photograph it and send the image to someone she was considering buying it for. Rather than honoring that graciously, the same employee who had been setting merchandise aside for her own purchase made a comment insinuating that this customer -- who had just made a generous purchase supporting hospice care -- might be there to steal. It was uncalled for, disrespectful, and uncomfortable to witness. To top it off, when I brought my own item to the register, it was clearly marked with a yellow sale sticker, yet the cashier attempted to charge me full price. I had to point it out myself to get it corrected. This store exists to support a deeply important cause, and the community deserves to shop here with confidence that they are being treated with honesty and respect. I hope management addresses these concerns seriously, because the conduct I witnessed that day does not reflect the values that Discovery Hospice stands for. It's disappointing, having to write such a review, however as a consistent shopper and cancer survivor, it's very uncomfortable having somebody have her over you as your shopping through jewelry, Overall, just an uncomfortable experience
