Was not welcomed or said hi to when we first entered. That was a red flag. My youngest really wanted the new Valentine Converses, but her and I butted heads about it because she wanted to go up two sizes because her true size wasn't "comfortable"... then the next size up wasn't comfortable either. I reminded her that Converses are cool but they aren't exactly comfortable plus they take a while to break in. My youngest has done this before with shoes... tried a pair of new shoes on that I suspected was slightly too long and said they felt fine and then when she actually wore them for a day, they slipped and gave her sores. To clarify, both of my children currently have the same size feet, so I had the oldest also try the same pair on and give me her opinion of how they felt. While all of this was going on, the staff members acted very strangely around us. They were friendly, but suspicious. The taller & heavier-set lady followed me everywhere at first & watched me like a hawk. It was so uncomfortable. The staff didn't do anything to assist with the measuring of my daughter's foot, or ask her questions and remind her that breaking in shoes takes a while. Guess they didn't need any sales that day. Not many sizes available in the boots section for women. Store was grungy and had worn-out benches for trying on shoes. I was fine walking out with no purchase because of all of the above complaints, but especially the lack of customer service.

It's an affordable fashion & home decor store that carries big name brands with a no frills approach to their layout and displays. Ample free parking in a shared plaza lot. Nice Spanish-only speaking lady working the back dressing rooms. The sensors on the purses at the front of the store were going off the entire almost hour we were there. No restroom for customers. All in all, it's a decent Ross.

Moments later another amiable employee asked me if I needed any help. She guided me towards the girls' jeans section. This store has mostly Western wear and "workin' man" gear. I'm happy to report that there were some good options here - a bit on the pricey side - but because of the friendly service and mostly clean and well-kempt place, I'll return. They're open 7 days a week and accept cash or plastic.

I brought them in to see if I could exchange them on 6/21/2023. The young lady I dealt with was amicable, but a bit strange. Nonetheless she guided me in the area where the Hey Dude section was. It seemed like a large section, but it turned out they didn't have the same shoes so I settled for some Wendy glitter in baby pink ones. Apparently that day these were on sale due to "National Pink Day" (not kidding) because even though they were the same price as what my brother bought on his receipt, I ended up with some cash back. The exchange was a quick, painless process. It's a newer Shoe Dept in Hobbs, NM, next to one of the fire stations. I only knocked off a star because you have to ask for panty hose liner from the front registers if you're not wearing socks. Plus some of their aisles were in a bit of disarray. Loyalty program is available. They do have the Brannock foot measuring devices here! Haven't seen those in forever it seems. Can't wait to see if they have any in my daughter's size because she has been dying for a pair.

While Bennie's did not have much of a clothes selection back on April 16, 2026, the customer service was nice and my daughter did find a nice pearl snap top that was super cute on her. The price was $35.52 which is comparable to many Western wear stores for her age group. The elderly owner makes the leather bracelets on display (photo attached). Dressing rooms were available. Plenty of parking. Plastic accepted.

I love the ladies who work here - always willing to help me pick out the best for my liking. Back on 10/06/2023 I bought a new belt ($55.41 including tax) to wear doing cowboy work with my man in Southern Colorado. I've been wearing it at least twice per week since then -- it's great quality! My mom bought my daughters some Ariat jeans here that almost immediately got tears and holes. I am not a fan of Ariat anything, so be warned... Their Wranglers have held up much better. That's my two cents, y'all!

I took my wife, Annie to the Roswell, NM Location to get her some nice, comfortable shoes for her…read morebirthday. The young woman was pleasant and helpful, and my wife selected an $87 pair of Skechers with air-cooled memory foam. Annie advises that the shoes were very comfortable trying them on and walking around the store, but discovered that, due to their "hands-free/slip-on" construction, there was some firm rubber that goes around the side and back of the heel at the top. This made her ankle sore, so the next time we went to Roswell, we took them with us to exchange for a more comfortable, perhaps a traditional "lace-up" style. And here is where service makes all the difference in customer experience. I have to compliment this location on their young man named Nathan. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. It was clear Nathan went the extra mile to make sure Annie had all the help she needed selecting her replacement pair and she was able to quickly decide on a pair of lace-up Skechers with the same memory foam and special air chamber in the heel. I believe this is called the "Stand on air" model. Annie said, and I quote, "These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn." Nathan was so helpful, I had to write and say something nice about him. It was our first time to see him, so I'm not sure how long he has been at this location, but he kept a very positive demeanor, very helpful attitude. He was really just perfect for what we needed. He processed the return, no problem at all. Whatever they do, they need to hang onto this employee like gold. Make him a manager (if he isn't already) and give him a nice raise. On an uneventful drive through Artesia on a long road trip, I spotted this store and screeched for…read moremy hubby to make a pit stop here. We were glad we did. Ozzy Osbourne and other "hard rock" was blasting in the store although the one staff present was an older lady. We found that quirky and adorable. The clothing here was a mix of old and new. Most of the "better" items were at the far right in a separate section with higher prices which I thought was absolutely justified. The other clothing on offer was pretty dated and/or worn, but would definitely work for the prices if a person was in need of clothing. They had some pretty cute shoes and small home items. I found a ton of great books at VERY low prices making the stop well worth my time. I can't wait to start digging through my finds.
