It called for a large number of complex modules, custom plugins built from the ground up, and at its core, a fully dynamic social media style website with an integrated shopping portal that users could manage themselves. The SystMD team handled every challenge that came their way, even as the requirements continued to shift and evolve. The professionalism shown by the owner was something I genuinely appreciated. He treated this project with the same level of care he would give his own work. Communication was open throughout, and I always had a clear picture of where things stood. They kept me informed at every stage. It felt like a personal partnership backed by serious expertise. Even as one of many projects on their plate, the team gave this one real attention. Nothing felt like it was being rushed through. Over the course of this project, there were three scheduled appointments--each one canceled or missed--with little to no notice. On top of that, I sent more than 10 follow-up emails just trying to get basic updates, most of which were either ignored or responded to with vague, non-committal answers. There seems to be a serious breakdown in communication and organization within this company. A straightforward job should not require this level of persistence from a customer. At no point did I feel like my time was respected or that my business was valued. They were amazing. They evaluated my current system, which is also integrated into an AV system, wrote up a proposal which I accepted. The system they installed is amazing. I have never had as good a WiFi system in terms of strength of signal, speed and reliability. As important, this Smart Start does what they say they will do without any surprises. They call when they say they will call, show up for appointments on time and really back up their services. In my case there has been nothing to do, since their system is working perfectly, but Smart Start Network has followed up a couple of times in the first 30 days after installation to make sure I was 100% satisfied. If you have a WiFi system you want installed, or have an existing system you would like upgraded I would highly recommend Smart Start Network. Lastly, Phil was the senior technician on my job and was phenomenal. Gina works in the office and is fantastic as well. This is my first Yelp review. I felt compelled to endorse this company because they are a breath of fresh air in NYC, where quality of product and service are often hard to find!
