I asked they hold the onions/pico de gallo but when I got them...they forgot. He offered to re-make them and I said, no that's OK, I'll just pick the onions off. He said there was a miscommunication between him & the cook, so...it happens. He added a ground beef taco for free, so I was good with that. These are 'street tacos' which all that really means is they are on the small side. You have a choice of corn, flour or hard corn tortillas/shells. They will add taco sauce if you wish. The quality is very good, they are fresh and flavorful. Their prices are reasonable as well, $2.75 to $3.75 each. They also have cold beverages on ice, soda and water. The guy at the register told me that business has been good post COVID. They are committed to the location by the Fairway ABC store at the corner of Route 160 (Tom Hall) and Route 460 (Fort Mill Parkway). They plan to add an awning and picnic tables and begin to serve breakfast in the near future. They will also continue to be at the Walter Elisha Park for the summer concert series. He said they had considered a brick & mortar store in Fort Mill but have put that idea on hold. NOTE: NO CASH -credit cards only!

I suggest they keep a bowl with fries ready and when they are ordered you have them or you can double fry it to reheat and crisp them. When we did get the fries it was a massive portion with no season like the photo suggested and you guessed it greasy from sitting in the oil too long. They couldn't offer a refund, replace it with rice and it should not have been offered. Just say the fryer isn't working can we suggest rice? How hard is that? Never received an apology for the time we waited... in the rain. The worse part is we have both had better gyros in our lives.

There has been a variety of food trucks that have been posting up there and there's even some nearby picnic benches to eat making it a cool little hidden lunch spot. One such food truck I came across is Sal's Roadside Eatery. They sell a variety of sandwiches from Philly cheesesteaks, pitas, and a personal favorite of mine the chopped cheese! Every sandwich comes with a side and while their French fries look great I personally recommend going with the loaded potato salad. It's was seriously the best potato salad I've had in as long as I can remember! The chopped cheese hit the spot as well. I'm not sure of their exact schedule as I just stumbled upon them in this spot, but if you have some time it is worth waking by the area to see what trucks are there, and if Sal's is there the you definitely need to do yourself a favor and go try it.

Everything about our experience at The Improper Pig was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the decor and atmosphere stood out and hit all the marks, a few dust places but I'm assuming this place has been here awhile so let's call it that...but the attention to detail made the restaurant feel unique, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed in a warm way. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive waitress she was more eager to fill our drinks than I was to drink lol but honestly she single handily was a beautiful train of productivity, the entire staff was, very impressed, that's a rare find these days and especially for the South. The manager, I imagine runs a tight ship...that helped make the experience even better. The biggest surprise was when my fried rice arrived at the table. The portion size was incredible for the price, mostly because and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. It was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with technique. I will say the brisket on the barbecue plate my husband ordered was incredibly dry, the plethora of flavors of barbecue sauce on the table couldn't help it either...I'm thinking they reheat the meat for the bbq plates throughout the day (which makes sense) but they maybe need to consider another reheating method or I'm curious when the bbq is freshly made...I'd love to come in that day. Either way I truly left almost completely speechless...what a gem. We will be back to ensure it wasn't a one off type of day. It's not often that you find a place where the atmosphere, service, value, and food all come together so well...with techniques going in the kitchen. Whew!
