Top: cubano, Bottom: pan con lechon. Yum!
    Neema B.

We came to Lost Worlds Brewing to try the beer and to try this food truck. I'm a fan of Cuban food and with the awesome reviews, didn't seem this would miss. And it didn't. The food was so good!! I was disappointed that the person in front of us literally ordered the last 2 chicken empanadas. However someone else said the beef were just as good, if not better, so beef it was. They didn't disappoint! The meat was super flavorful! I also had 1/2 Cuban sandwich, 1/2 pan con lechon. Wow. The cubano was easily my favorite and the one I finished at the brewery. I took most of my pork sandwich home and let me tell you - it was even better the next day! I was actually mad that I had a small portion because I'd ate some of it the night before! I'm not typically a huge fan of yuca fries, but with the aioli they served, those were amazing too! The food was really really good and the owners were very nice. If you have an opportunity to check out this food truck, definitely do.

It was a nice day and decided to try out this food truck, located Lost Worlds Brewery. This food is phenomenal and a great spot to get some Cuban food! They have a good variety of different sandwiches, small bites, as well as desserts. They are all great! This food truck travels around the Charlotte and surrounding areas and has a neat little set up. The combo team of staff is on point! The owner is cooking and making the meals and the other staff member is assisting with check-outs and delivering food to tables. It's a great operation! It is reasonably prices and you get a good portion as well! You can find out where they'll be on their Instagram. Definitely try them out if you see them around or are in the area! You will not be disappointed!

    A day at Veronet winery

So I was not interested... until the over-power smell of cuban-style, croquette filled sandwiches filled my nose after a long hike and 3 glasses of wine at the Veronet Vineyard... I was sitting on the patio, overlooking the vineyard and minding my own business when that savory smell of cuban style meats and grilled bread filled my nose, over-powering the gentle grapes in my glass. Walking around the vineyard tasting room, to the parking lot revealed what was tempting me from 110 yards away! No Forks... No Forks indeed... dont need them, just grab with hands and shove in mouth! Sandwich select was limited towards the end of the day... a SELL OUT... which says alot... but they still had some classic items and most importantly CHURROS! After I ordered I wandered back over to the vineyard and waiting with vision of churros dancing in my head... They delivered the goods to me and my dreams were answered. MUCHO recommended!

I found this jewel & stumbled on this quaint place at the "Armored Cow" at Food Truck Friday. This was my 1st time having Cuban Food. The young lady was very nice and helpful with helping me decide on what I was going to order. My choice was the chicken empanada & dulce de leche churro! Very delicious. The empanada was very crisp and the stuffing OMG DELICIOUS!!!! I will definitely be back!!! Thumbs up!!!!

Delish! The staff/I think owners were friendly, personable and up to figure out what you may love best. The sandwich was two meals for me. The Miami Cubano was tasty but next time I would probably go for the OG....the Cubano.

I have dreams about those yuca fries. And the Cubano, empanadas and Dulce de Leche churros are exquisite. Purely based on the food, not accounting for service and truck location, I'd give NFG five stars.

FIRST DAY for No Forks Given Food Truck at Pilot Brewing!
    Chris S.

The latest food truck to arrive in Charlotte, No Forks Given is cranking out tasty Cubanos, Empanadas, and Croquettes. After a few soft launches, they made their public premier tonight at Pilot Brewing. While it was a cold, rainy night, they seemed pretty busy behind the window. The simple menu and affordable prices means you'll be trying many different Cuban handhelds. The "truck" is actually a tiny trailer, but the vibrant exterior is sure to get your attention. It's actually a nice change to your average truck that takes up a ton of room in the average brewery parking lot. Their starting menu featured just four sandwiches and three empanadas. Of course you have the traditional Cuban Sandwich but also Pan Con Lechon which featured Mojito Seasoned Pork, Sauteed Onions, and a Garlic Aioli. Empanadas ranges from beef, chicken, and even a tuna option! Our party of six got a little bit of everything. Both the Cuban and the Pan Con Lechon was delicious. The Cuban had a crunchier exterior but the Pan Con Lechon won the flavor contest. The pork was full of dynamic spices and the garlic aioli brought a bright pungency that gave the profile a well rounded savoriness. The authentic Cuban recipe bread is sourced from Suarez Bakery right here in Charlotte as well. While both empanadas were very tasty, I've got to say that the chicken was the clear winner. If only for the texture, the bigger chunks of chicken had more wholesomeness versus the ground beef, I could order a half dozen of 'em! Both empanadas had a rich dough that was fried to a beautiful golden brown. Not sure what I was expecting with the chicken croquet but they weren't my favorite. While it had a crispy, golden-brown exterior, the inside was a little mushy. It had a good flavor by the texture reminded me of re-fried beans. I prefer a firmer texture in croquettes but to each their own, the rest of the offerings are slam dunk superstars. Other than a few things they'll figure out with more experience, they have a recipe for a ton of success in Charlotte. I talked to Alan and Pat, the Chef/Owners of the truck, and they are working with different breweries and venues to try and get some "regular" spots. Until then it looks like the usual social media avenues is the best way to keep track of them. Good luck guys, I'll be a returning fan for sure!

So good! BEST empanadas in town!!! Stumbled upon this food truck at Edge City Brewing one Friday night. May have to follow them around town now!

Pan con lechon- porkie goodness - so luscious and decadent

So good! Pork, pork and pork! Delicious, well seasoned, perfect amount of each ingredient on a crusty warm bread. Couldn't eat finish a whole sandwich. We had the pan con lechon and Cubano and the yuca fries. Both sandwiches were excellent. Don't hesitate if you see this kitchen on wheels - flag them down and eat!

My mother and I visited food truck Friday at resident culture last month and discovered this little slice of heaven. It was our favorite dish (& we ordered from three trucks). We were so pleased with the service, quality of the food, and overall flavor that we purchased two more to have the next day for lunch. & in case you're wondering the cubano is amazing the next day, right out of the fridge. I recommend this to everyone now!!

I'm a ramen reverer, and I can say that this ramen unfortunately did not hit the mark for me. After reading their reviews, I am realizing that I probably should've tried their pho or other menu items, but it was a cold day and I really wanted to love the ramen here. The menu says the ramen has soft boiled eggs, but these were definitely hard boiled. I put a note for no corn in my ramen, but it definitely came with corn *sadness*. I ordered chicken in my ramen and was expecting slices of chicken like most places do, but instead it was ground chicken which was a little weird to eat in a ramen for me. If I come back here, I would definitely try a different type of menu item. But the restaurant gives very cutesy vibes!

I just happen to be working in the area where Roaming Fork sets up on Thursdays out in Ballantyne and was able to grab some tasty lunch. The menu is varied and even has an Asian flare! I went with the recommendation of the cashier. I got the Porky Cheesy and the Truffle fries. The grill cheese had a good crunch and a good amount of filling. I love anytime you mix bbq pork and cheese and this didn't disappoint. The truffle fries get squirted with truffle oil after they come out the grease and have an amazing aroma. I liked the flavor but I love fries with a condiment so I felt like the fries could have used some ranch dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of items I would like to try. I follow these guys on Twitter and was always hoping they'd camp out in the Southpark area one day to draw a lunch crowd. To no avail, I was forced to wait until this weekend! Happy to find these guys at Small Bar in the NC Music Factory for PBR Fest. Churning out pizza and wings for the beer crowd. I had heard multiple cheers of praise and glory about this truck's pizza and wings. I was even a little intimidated approaching the order window. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with describing all of the menu items. We ended up getting two slices of cheese, a slice of the buffalo chicken and 5 Carolina Buffalo wings. We sat down with 24oz tallboys in hand and went to town. I was happy to say that the wings are AWESOME. Perfectly cooked, a little crispy on the outside, not dry, tender, slathered generously with amazing sauce. The Carolina Buffalo is a winner. Mustard-based bbq with a plethora of buffalo sauce thrown in. My taste buds were happy. Uhh...they need to make a Carolina Buffalo pizza. (No brainer, yeah?) The only thing that sank my happy sailing dinner experience was the pizza. A little lackluster and the sauce was a bit reminiscent of box pizza from the frozen section in the grocery store. Maybe our slices had been sitting out for a bit, but didn't have the freshest of textures. I did appreciate the crust and enjoyed sopping up the remainder of the wing sauce with them. I can't say that the pizza was banging on all cylinders or a culinary breakthrough, but is definitely reliable. The combo of wings and pizza in one meal from the street, though? Baller status. Grab a tallboy and it's all over. Foodtruck heaven. So happy to have finally tried these guys out and can't wait to see them at Chowdown Uptown in the near future! Carolina Buffalo Pizza, guys!
