Following my initial review, the management team reached out to get my side of the story about Koda's situation. I provided the details, including that Koda was healthy going into the spay surgery but has struggled to walk properly ever since. Naturally, we were hopeful, thinking they would do the right thing. They set us up with a neurologist vet for an initial exam to see if they could proceed with an MRI, with the intention of determining if Lovet would cover the cost. We went to the neurologist on 6/28/2025 for the initial exam to evaluate whether the MRI would be covered. Fast forward to 7/19/2026, and I received a call from a Lovet vet informing me that they would NOT be paying for the MRI. Their reasoning? They still don't believe it's their fault. The neurologist vet has stated that while it's not impossible, further testing--like an MRI--is necessary to rule out possible causes. But the only thing the initial exam involved was watching Koda walk and testing her reflexes. How can this possibly determine if the vet is at fault or not? I'm very aware that I am not a medical professional, but this doesn't feel right. I've told them I will appeal this decision, and I will not stop until Koda gets the justice she deserves. And to top it all off, they refuse to provide me with a contact number to speak with someone at their corporate office who made this decision.

Driving to work one day, a stray dog ran in front of my car, little did I know that this would be the start of a new chapter of our lives. I pulled to the side of the road, called the dog to me, loaded him in my car and took him to our local shelter, promising to return if he was not claimed. Christmas Eve we adopted Max. Bringing him home proved to be challenging. Our Senior French bulldogs wanted nothing to do with Max and my husband and I, both disabled Seniors, knew nothing of the Malinois special needs. We needed help and were so overwhelmed that we reached out to Malinois Rescue, the Woof Project, thinking it might be best to place Max with a more knowledgeable, and younger family. Both the Woof project and our dentist and family friend Dr.Robert Karl Jr hiighly recommended Eric Reyes. Eric offered us a unique program of living with us and Max in our home for a week, which became an incredible and unforgettable week of learning and the foundation of a solid, positive relationship with Max. Eric excels at his craft, not just a dog trainer or handler, hes so intuitive, that he was able to understand that Max had received some rough treatment and that one needed to proceed gently but firmly. I left my dog at DPO in AZ City for 10 days recently, but had left him prior with no problems. One…read moreday before pick up, I received a call from a boy telling me my dog was sick and had diarrhea and blood coming from his rectum. The boy stumbled to speak and down played how sick my dog was. We picked him up the following day and we couldn't believe the bad shape he was in. He had to have been sick for days!! We are getting him tested by the vet, and are hopeful he will survive what happened to him. They postponed a grooming appointment to make him look better before we brought him home. This dog should have been left alone because of his condition. The grooming job is terrible but I am not surprised since he was so sick. I attached a picture at the time of pick up below. Shame on this place and will never return or recommend. Owner should have called me, not some cheap hired kid with no experience. My dog was definitely not cared for properly and I suspect owner struggles to keep or get good help. I will update with the diagnosis once tests come back. Stay away from this place if you love your pet. Wish I could rate 0 stars.
