Each weekend we are bombarded with ads to use the big box stores for our home repair needs. Have…read moreyou noticed how the TV ads never match the experience? Rarely is a person at the big box store happy to see you, much less help. Especially when you go there for in depth guidance to a home remodel project. When you go back a few days later with more questions, you might get someone different and have to start all over! The experience at Floor Art is the exact opposite. We walked in the door and were surprised at how big the showroom was. The front entrance is quite deceiving. A woman welcomed us (we found out later she was the owner), explaining that someone would be with us shortly, as she was helping another customer. Fair enough. We used that time to look around. We soon learned that Floor Art brings flooring products in from all over the world; tile, hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, all in different grades and thickness. Plenty of carpet choices as well. There are several product options already on their warehouse floor. Yet, they have access to many more, and can get them quickly. They offer everything needed for a bathroom or kitchen wall and flooring project. The sales rep we worked with gave guidance on tile patterns, sizing, and how best to make our tile really pop. In addition, she made suggestions on grout color and how to maintain it over time. They also offer the full range of waterproofing systems needed for water applications (that go under the tile), as in the case of our bathroom remodel. Everything needed to get your project done correctly. We came here because a good friend is a contractor in OH. He explained that a tile store would offer a better grade and quality than the big box stores. More importantly, the grout products that bigger stores sell, have added fillers (to keep their costs down). Fillers that will shrink and flake out over time. That's why you see tile grout flaking out on some tile projects after just a few years. We took a few tile samples home (and several pics on our phone), to use in our bathroom to help visualize the new space. The next time back after consulting with the sales rep, we picked 3 different tile patterns; one for the bathroom floor, the shower walls and the backsplash. Two were in stock, and the backsplash had to be ordered in. It took less than a week to arrive. Upon arrival we got an update phone call. Every item was staged until our contractor could pick it all up. Our bathroom remodel is now complete, and it looks great. The knowledge and expertise we received by the entire staff of Floor Art helped us save time and money in the long run. We can't wait to use them again, and world recommend them to anyone.

Thankfully Callin called me back right away, and said he could start work on my house in a few days. This was huge for me, because I had a tight deadline to meet to try and move into the new house. Imagine how happy I was to not only have Callin's team get the work done by the time I needed it to get done, but how great the work turned out to be, and the price was very reasonable. He and his team did such a good job, that I then enlisted them to take carpet out of the basement and put in Laminate flooring which also turned out great (and again, reasonable pricing).
