Every time I see a facebook post in a local community group asking for a reputable moving service,…read moreI always see the comments flooded with people recommending True Care Moving Services. That's how I discovered True Care, and I am happy to say that I have had two extremely pleasant moves with them! The owner, Tyrell, contacts customers directly and is extremely thorough when booking and requesting information, while being flexible and accommodating of last minute changes. For my recent move I wanted to purchase a couch off facebook marketplace and asked TrueCare if it would be possible for them to pick it up on the way to my home, they were extremely accommodating and got it sorted! The movers themselves are extremely nice, friendly, courteous and thorough, and they were real troopers hauling heavy furniture up my second story walk-up. This is without a doubt the company you want to book for your twin cities moves.

Update, 11/21/24: Lawyer has been retained, claim has been filed. Be extremely careful with this…read morecompany, any decent company would have jumped at an opportunity to make things right - this one passes the buck. Unfortunately, during the move a leak occurred on a fridge that was moved - the company reconnected the power and the water line, returned the fridge against the wall, collected payment and left. Fortunately, I came back the next day to a vacant house to gather anything left behind, and found a wet carpet, a wet bathroom, wet hardwoods, flood ceilings, damaged HVAC, etc. The carpet is ruined, the hardwoods are ruined in numerous areas. I brought this to Tyrell's attention, and it has been brushed off by him numerous times. The company claims that the water line was "done as a courtesy", which I contest - the service was offered, and was paid for. It is estimated that I have $35,000-$40,000 in damages throughout the house. With that said, I'm not mad that it occurred, I understand these things can happen. What frustrates me is that after repeated attempts to gather the companies insurance information, they have refused to provide it. The companies website clearly notates that "We are a professional moving company in Minneapolis with the required licenses and insurance." It is a requirement that moving companies maintain insurance. It is my right to file a claim. The fact that they have been unwilling after numerous attempts to provide an insurance carriers name, let alone a point of contact or policy number, is highly concerning. I have contacted the Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, Department of Labor, and will continue looking for resources to ensure that this is dealt with adequately. The main job of someone that runs a moving company is to deal with customer issues swiftly, and that has not been the case here at all. I would highly recommend doing due dilligence before hiring Tyrell's crew, they are quick to collect payment, but awfully slow to remediate any customer concerns.

If we ever find ourselves moving again, Matt's would be my first call.

The quote was wrong, the movers were slow and one was exceptionally unprofessional (by any standard) cost me over 3x my estimate and there was damaged property involved and issues with fixing the problems. Don't use them. A pick up truck and 2 guys from the nursing home could be faster. I was so disappointed. 11.5 hrs instead of 3 and a half. I extensively itemized all my property as instructed as well. Should have been no issues. I wont post pictures of the day because I dont think it's fair to show them not being efficient.

Got the job done exactly in the estimated time frame. The only hitch was some parts from a piece of furniture that accidentally got left behind in the truck- the team sent me a message telling me it was there and Jayne eventually delivered the parts, which was amazing. I thought the service matched the value and would definitely use this company to move in the future.

I got quotes from 3 local moving companies including one we had used twice before. That company's…read morequote was more than $300 higher than they'd previously charged us so they were a no. Matt's detailed rates were similar, but the minimum they quoted was a better deal than the other two quotes we'd gotten so we chose Matt's. They were also super helpful and professional on the phone, and their website was easy to navigate. On the day of our move our crew was extremely late - expected between 11am - 4pm. When they hadn't showed by 5:30pm, we called Matt's Moving's main number. They reached out to the crew and let us know the prior move had gone much longer than anticipated and they still had 2 hours of work left. They siad they would reach out to other crews to see if they could come instead. We got a call a after 6 from the crew leader letting us know they had run into issues with their truck but were on their way. We were grateful for the update. At that point we just wanted to be moved that day! Our crew showed up about 7:30pm tired from their already long day but in friendly moods and ready to work. They were polite, were careful, were prepared, and were fast! We were moved quickly with no hassle nor damage. My only critique would be that we would have appreciated a call from the main office once it was known that our crew had run into issues so instead of waiting around we could have done other things. That was a minor inconvenience however, because the actual crew doing the work was super friendly, polite, and were very apologetic about the timing. We would give Matt's Movers another try.

I significantly underestimated the amount of time our move would take. The move took over 10 hours and filled 3 trucks! The team of 4 guys who came out were on time, very polite and worked their butts off the whole day. I only saw them take one break the whole day! One of the guys told me he thought a mirror may have cracked, despite being wrapped carefully. He was very apologetic. I told him stuff happens. I saw them being very careful with all of our items. The mirror was a bummer, but could have happened to anyone. The owner had indicated he would give me a discount when we had first talked. However, there was not a discount at the end. I emailed the owner the next day and asked about the discount. He got back to me right away and said he would look into it. Frankly, that very minor issue does not change my review or opinion about this moving company. If we had to move again tomorrow (God forbid!) I would call these guys again. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone and everyone!!

They were AMAZING while facilitating our move this summer. They were quick to respond, answered all of our questions, gave us a fair quote, showed up on time (early!), and were very friendly. Our movers were careful and efficient. We had 4 movers, but one of them got lost somehow on the way to our new house and we ended up with only 3 movers for most of the time. It was no big deal, they still finished under time and only charged us for the 3 movers instead of 4. The guys were respectful about taking their shoes off on carpet and being careful around walls / doors / corners. None of our belongings were damaged. The other amazing thing is they were able to reschedule our move last minute when both my husband and I came down with COVID 2 days before our move (and I was 30 weeks pregnant). We were extremely sick and I was panicking about trying to make the move happen, but luckily Mint had a time slot open up the following week and they changed our reservation, no problem. I was so incredibly grateful! I would hire Mint again in a heartbeat! And I have already recommended them to some friends. Great job, guys!
