Do not pick Matt's as your towing company. Matt's Auto Service started off bad on the phone, calling the company gave me nothing but sarcasm and rude comments when trying to find simple information about my impounded vehicle. When arriving to the company the roads were terrible with minimal parking. The entrance was a tripping hazard and would be impossible to get into the establishment with any injuries or impairment to mobility. When entering there was no public bathroom and rude writing and jokes on the wall about the situations the costumers are in making you feel worse about your current situation that is already ruining your day. The guy behind the desk give me tons of audited and didn't even great me. The worker all has the audacity to hit his vape with customers in the building. When I asked for the brake down of the bill he was hesitant and wouldn't give it to me on paper. Cash was the only acceptable payment and my car got stuck in the impound lot when trying to leave the compound. read more

I skidded off 212 this morning and called Matt's for a tow. He said he would be there in 45 min and he definitely was. My guy (I didn't get his name) was the awesomest ever! He winched me out and towed me to the next exit as I was facing the wrong direction. He had me drive around the parking lot to make sure the car "worked". Unfortunately I know nothing about 4WD and it was in the wrong gear so it wasn't shifting. I pulled over onto the shoulder and wouldn't you know it, he was behind me in 2 min. I got it into the right gear and he followed me to my exit to my work just to make sure I was good to go. SUPER SUPER AWESOME GUY!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

My car has been at this place for less than 12 hours and they are demanding $350.00 to get my Car back and they only accept cash? THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE AUDITED! Any place that only takes cash especially during Covid? Is not on the up and up. And these fees are astronomical! It is a price gouge because the person has no Alternate option. Had my car towed "impounded" I guess to say, from the gas station a mile away from their lot. 5 days later I have called and asked for the info about my car. The lady answering the phone was not helpful in any way possible besides telling me that my price was almost 6 hundred dollars for it being there a week as it was brought in a few minutes before midnight. I don't have current registration on the car and don't have any easy access to the title at the moment. The HELPFUL Police officer that arrested me told me to have them call him or the PD and they can easily verify that I'm indeed the RO of the car. They refused to even hear or consider that option as they aren't wasting their time making a phone call... simple 2 minute phone call is keeping my car from me. Absolutely Trash customer service. 0 stars from me. Towing company that's there to help you in a time of need?? Yeah right. Would not recommend to anyone needing any kind of service. I lived in a Town home complex where the management had called Matt's to tow my vehicle since I did not move it in time. That's all fine and I am not upset about that. However, the problem is I came out of my home while my vehicle was in the process of being towed. The guy said that he will only accept $50 cash. I said fine and went inside to get the cash and returned within 2 mins. He took off with my car. They ended up charging me $150 when i went to pick up my vehicle. If i ever need towing service, I will make sure Matt's is not one of them. These people are plain bastards. read more

My truck died on me on my way to the airport on a Sunday. They were extremely quick to respond and reasonable with their towing fee. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with Matt's Towing. We were in a car accident recently, and we called AAA, this is why we have AAA obviously, for situations like this. Matt's towing showed up first, so they got the tow cause they want the car out of the road, I get that. But the guy was an absolute prick. I cannot fathom being so rude to people especially in a situation like that, obviously, we're both a little bit flustered due to the recent crash and the fact that our car was folded up in front. He took the car and towed it to a nearby shop, where he left the car unlocked with the key sitting on the top of the car, which we found 3 1/2 hours later after leaving the hospital. I cannot stress enough, do not give Matt's towing your business. You do not get to treat people like that. We haven't gotten the bill yet, but I can only imagine what joy that will be, especially when it would've been free with our AAA. read more

My husband got into an accident last night and the police officer automatically called Matts. The driver claimed the tow would be $106 and refused to bring the car to our auto body shop, but when he went to pick up the car today (less than 24 hours later), they had upped the charge to $165 and also added two days of storage (again, less than 24 hours) and a bunch of other miscellaneous fees such as admin and wenching fees making the total tow cost $380+. After arguing with the clerk for a while, they finally brought the total tow cost down to $280, which is still absolutely ridiculous for a 5 mile tow, less than 24 hour storage, and terrible customer service. Matts is a rip off. Do not use them. read more

The Eden Prairie police must have a scam going with Matt's. My daughter was in a fender bender (slick roads) and the fender was slightly bent into the front wheel. The policeman called Matt's. The total price came to $215 which for towing the car 5 miles and storing it for 14 hrs I think is high and Matt's doesn't post their towing rates on their web page. They also left some light on in the car and it was out of battery when we picked it up (never happened before) and I had to jump it to start it. Matt's, if you think charging $45/day for car storage is fair (and two days for 14 hrs storage) go ahead and post your rates on your homepage. Rip-off. read more

They were close by so we called them and they came really fast, worked quickly, were really nice and were very responsible with the payment information we gave them. They didn't even charge us mileage because we were so close and so it was really affordable too. read more

Matt's was hired by Townhouse Association to tow an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was then washed, the tow sticker removed, and it was placed in my personal driveway that I pay for each month to put a vehicle in. Four days later Matt's showed up and removed my vehicle from my driveway with my phone, ID, etc. in the vehicle, as I was using it that day for work. The hood of the vehicle was still warm as it had been there less than 1 hour. I picked up the vehicle the very next day and was charged $280.00 to get my vehicle from them.
