I've owned automotive vehicles of various kinds for over a half century. Needless to say, I've had numerous experiences with lots of repair shops. I visited this shop to see about repairing a door that wouldn't open. Not only was the estimate lower than all the others I got, but Matt himself started working on it right away. He fixed it in MUCH less time than I thought was possible, and for the first time in my life, I was shocked at how little the bill was. I realize that using lots of superlatives makes one think that the review is being done by a shill, but I can't say enough good things about this place. My wife had gone here a few years ago, and I'm glad I came when I needed work done. I totally recommend this place without ANY reservation. And for what it's worth, the review by Mr. Hondo S. is full of s**t - it's obvious he has never dealt with this shop at all. read more

Matt's Auto Body in Steger, Illinois, is where our family, has taken our cars for years. Matt, the owner, is very professional, knowledgeable, honest, and performs great work. He's kind & will be upfront with you. He goes over and beyond for his customers. Our family feels at ease, whenever we have to bring one of our vehicles in for repair. Lemme tell ya about this place...... It's the BOMB!!!! I was on an errand one day for work and got rear-ended by an on-duty Olympia Fields police officer. (Hey, if you're gonna get rear ended, guaranteed a cop car is fully insured, right?) After dealing with the police departments insurance company and getting paid out on the estimate from Matt's, I took my car in To backtrack a bit - when I took my car in (2004 Grand Prix GTP Supercharged), i met with Matt himself. I told him I didn't want any after-market parts, wanted all OEM parts, and wanted my car to be just like it was before Officer Friendly smashed into me. Matt took great care and time to go over everything with me, answering all my questions and not treating me like I was some neurotic chick who was waaaaaay into her car. Which I kinda am! I picked up my car after it being in the shop for a week (my Chevy Impala rental just paled in comparison.....), I received a call letting me know my car was ready. And lemme tell ya.... it looked BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything was done exactly how I wanted it, exactly when I was told it would be done. Yes, Matt's Auto Body is in the south suburbs. I live in Bridgeport. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it was SO VERY worth it! This place is definitely worth the trip. read more

A little boo boo can sure add up! After my friends husband backed out of the garage and came in to the house to announce to me that he owed me a new hood I called my friend Larry and I was referred to Matt. Matt went over my KIA Sedona with a fine tooth comb. (even pointed out the boo boo's I created myself LOLLLL) After 3 previous estimates for repair he was the ONLY one who actually attempted to even get my hood open to look for further damage......which was found. I was SOLD and set up repairs with Matt!! Excellent service and my Sedona was fixed so well no one would ever be able to tell it had a little accident thanks to Matt and his artistic and perfect craftsmanship! Big repair or small I have no doubt anyone and everyone will be as pleased as I was! Matt...I'll be back with those small boo boos......and perhaps more with my Teen starting to drive! This place is great! I was rear-ended with extensive damage in a hit & run accident. I took my car to Matt's and it turns out they had to replace an entire quarter panel. (it was bad, trust me) They did a phenomenal job. My car looked better than it did when I first got it! They are also very straight-forward, no BSing and friendly. The guy is a total low life. He acts like he's your friend when he sees you at church on Sunday, but then during the week it's like he doesn't even know you. You'll come in for an estimate, he'll give you one price & then you come back & get something totally different. He just keeps adding stuff on & making it up as he goes. Don't trust this guy. Hondo S. what planet are you from? I'm positive not the planet earth. Also positive you have not been to Matts' Auto Body in Steger Illinois. Not one word in your review describes Matt from Matts' Auto Body. Not only is he a great person but his work is by far the best in the area.
