I am sorry to say that I do not recommend this company. Unless you are willing to take out a loan or buy their most high end product which they push, the more budget friendly mattresses are poor quality and the customer service is deplorable. Alberto was as friendly and patient as a representative could get. I spent nearly 45 minutes, if not longer, at the store and he patiently walked me through each of the beds that I expressed interest in. It was my first time visiting a mattress store and felt very overwhelmed by the process. I have sciatica so I wanted to make the right purchase. Alberto made me feel 100% comfortable to try each of the beds which, being my first time, took longer than average. I appreciated his kindness so much and it could have been that he lost his patience or would have made me feel pressured to buy. He listened to my needs and also tried to find something within my budget. I received such a good impression from this location and the brand (even after visiting other stores), that I returned and ended up getting one from them! Everything was great until I informed the store that I was not comfortable with my purchase and would exchange 30 days after receipt. It became a negative experience, starting with an innappropriate remark from the salesman who assisted me when I returned to the store. Afterwards, as I the nonchalance and resentment of the sales personnel was evident and an indication that they were bothered that I'd exercised the option. I paid for and specifically scheduled a delivery for the afternoon. On the delivery date at 0700 am , I received a call to advise me that the delivery was ON ITS WAY and would arrive in 20 MINUTES. This is not what I'd requested, so I called the delivery service and asked why they were attempting a morning delivery. They claimed that I'd received a call on the previous morning to notify me of the delivery window. That is an outright lie. I didn't receive any delivery notification call until TWENTY MINUTES before a morning arrival, contrary to my request for an afternoon time. The scheduler informed me that they couldn't reschedule it to the afternoon as I'd initially planned. I paid for a delivery to be scheduled for my convenience and planned my time accordingly. LWhen I made my initial purchase last month, the process worked as they'd promised, with a call to notify me of a 3-hour window. When I contacted the store earlier this week to schedule my exchange delivery, (because they did not reach out to me as they'd advised), I was told that I would receive the same delivery window call. Instead I was notified that the truck was on its way to my home ahead of the scheduled time. This is a piss-poor way to treat a customer and I regret this signficant expenditure for mattress, adjustable base, and bedframe. read more

We got 3 mattresses recently a king from airloom and two sealy twin sets. Jay helped us initially and spent so much time with our family on a wknd reviewing options. We then exchanged our bed for a firmer option and Clarence was so helpful. The exchange fee was minimal. The delivery and pick up were coordinated so well, they tell you exactly when they are coming and you do not have to lift a finger. They were so helpful! read more

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We were very excited to get a new bed, but it ended up being wrought with problems at Mattress Warehouse. First, there was a problem with the new mattress and our delivery had to be pushed back several days-- and we were told about this barely ahead of 12 hours of the original delivery we had scheduled. When the mattress arrived, they refused to take away our bed frame, stating they don't take any metal. Our salesperson, Brenda, never informed us of this at the time of purchase and we had to pay extra to have an outside contractor dispose of it. The deliverymen were rude in general, and it was a bad start. We came in to Mattress Warehouse because we wanted a very cool, comfortable bed. We discussed the reasons we were looking for a new mattress at length with Brenda. While she promised the world in the store, the mattress she recommended did not deliver. We had inquired if under-bed storage would work with our new frame- she assured us the frame was standard. It is not, we cannot fit any standard under-bed containers under it. The bed not only is not cool, it is warmer than the bed we replaced! When we called Brenda about how unhappy we were, her answer was to take off the top layer of the mattress that was zipped on. We just paid a good deal of money for a high quality new mattress and now we were being instructed to sleep without part of it. We complied, however, and called back a week later to let her know problems remained. After messages which she did not return, we finally got Brenda on the phone and she was combative and unwilling to help. We were told because we had bought our mattress on sale, we were responsible not only for the difference between our mattress and a replacement, but also to make up the difference between sale pricing we paid and current pricing-- which is absurd. We had specifically inquired about replacement process in the store and she said nothing about this. We asked for the name of her supervisor, which she provided as John Gibson. We left a message at the provided number asking for a call back as soon as possible and Mr. Gibson never responded to it. At this point we've given up on any remedy to the situation, but I strongly recommend against purchasing from Mattress Warehouse. The customer service on every level is abysmal. We're filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on the company, it was so awful. Hope this helps someone else avoid what we went through. read more

I just moved into town and needed a bed to complete my new apartment. We walked in and we were pleasantly greeted by one sales associate, who then introduced us to another associate, Xavier. Xavier was very professional, knowledgeable, and quickly helped us find a selection of comfortable mattresses within our price range. He explained the differences between a variety of mattresses and what we could expect based on our sleeping habits. We needed a new mattress and had been to the local MW at Traville in the past. Big mistake this time. First they promised us if the Bed was too soft or hard for a small exchange fee we could swap out the bed. That was not true. The first bed was too soft and when we selected a harder bed, we were told the deal we negotiated on the first bed was void and we had to pay full price on the new bed. This was followed by delivery people who damaged our house removing the old mattress and bringing the new one and then customer service which has avoided me for over 30 days on our damage claim. This was my first experience buying a mattress, and I couldn't have been more pleased. This location is fairly new (roughly 6 months), and very convenient - perfect for folks living in Chevy Chase or nearby (directly across from the Friendship Heights Metro). We were on a very tight budget, and had a fairly limited and specific price point in mind. The store manager, Matt, was great - very professional, not pushy and understanding of our budget and preferences, while still showing us a variety of options. We took advantage of the Labor Day promotion that they were running, and they were able to price match a Mattress Warehouse online price. They were also able to include free delivery with the purchase. Although we would have loved to go for one of their more luxurious/high end mattresses, they had a great range of options - and we were able to strike a deal that perfectly fit our budget. One of the worst case of miscommunication and poor customer service I have experienced. I live right down the street from the store and I popped in one night with my parents who were visiting from out of town. Brenda took care of us and show us the different mattresses and sold me on my mattress which I love. Brenda was very friendly and helpful but that was the only good experience. Delivery was a nightmare. I was given a three hour time frame and that came and went and no one showed up. I had to call and they said they would be there shortly. 45 minutes later they showed up with a dirty damaged foundation so they had to leave my mattress on the floor and would have to be back at a different time. I called the store to reschedule and requested Saturday since I work on Friday and the store clerk said this was fine. I get a call Friday morning saying they were on their way to deliver my foundation that morning... Obviously the warehouse and store did not communicate properly and come Saturday still no foundation. I will have to wait until next week and will have to take off more work to accommodate them. Total inconvenience. They would like to make it up to me with a store credit but I will not be going back to the store ever. Very disappointed. read more
