It all depends on the salesperson. We had a great experience with Charles at the Wheaton location. Bought 2 mattresses. Then returned later, but Charles was off that day, and unfortunately, was completely smothered by his colleague, an annoying, clueless, pushy salesman. Fazil was unethical and did not communicate effectively to my mother and me about the different mattress options and did not attempt to gauge a better idea of our budget and instead sold the most expensive mattress in the store to her without asking us more effective questions about pricing. He seemed overzealous and impatient for there to not be other customers in the store at the time being. Fazil kept rambling and being complimentary towards us sharing long-winded stories instead of staying focused on the actual sale itself and the different brands and types of mattresses that the store sells. There was confusion as soon as my mother and I walked into the store. One associate was going to assist us, but Fazil instead discussed how much experience he has at selling mattresses and was going to assist us. He wasted a lot of time focused only on one mattress and did not take the initiative to ask us any questions about, if we had seen any other mattress in the store that better met my mother's budget and needs. At the desk, Fazil stated that he would update our address records. Another associate tried to assist also with the finance side of operations. Fazil instead still had the old address listed and saved in the system and had the mattress quote/billing paperwork sent to the wrong address, after my mother and I tried confirming with him on multiple occasions if he updated the billing address. Fazil also did not explain the return/exchange policy or go into detail with where the money actually matters. It is very important to know about payment/return/exchange information. Fazil missed on all the important details about the purchase. He was friendly and used his big personality to make the sale but lacked the ethics and integrity about sales and pricing. He was too overly eager with telling stories and discussing personal matters instead of being more business-like and ensuring accuracy and detail to the purchase. We returned to the store a week after the Memorial Day sale purchase and approached Fazil about the issues. He apologized and recommended us to communicate to corporate for more information, as the transaction had been done and was out of his control by then. The billing statement was sent to our old address. My mother had to contact Mattress Warehouse about the billing and the return/exchange policy about the mattress needing to be of equal value. When you are sold the most expensive mattress in the store, it is difficult to exchange a mattress of equal value. The store also is a bit hot, stuffy and uncomfortable and needs to invest in something called umm, an air conditioner. We are living in modern times and there needs to be some type of vent circulation going on. The sale itself took about an hour to conduct, because Fazil was very talkative but did not use purposeful communication to explain different mattress options and pricing details. This was a waste of time and not the best of experiences. The mattress itself gets the job done and absorbs and molds to the body well, but the lack of integrity, ethics, and morality hurt the experience a lot. The salespeople need to be more patient and ethical to assist customers. It is not a quick sprint race to the sale. The associates need to be trained better to discuss brands and pricing and need to stay on topic and not waste precious time. Better training needs to happen and this is rather unacceptable. read more

Horrible company. If you want too get ripped off then deal with this company. Purchased a bed set online and it has been giving me back issues since the first day. The stupid policy mattress warehouse has is one exchange only and the customer has too pay $99 plus 19.99. That is ridiculous as you can't test the bed out if you buy online. Still fighting about this. I have offered too pick up the new mattress at a store near me and was told they couldn't and it had too be delivered and they would then take the old one. Fazil and Isaac were fabulous. I called the Olney store looking for a headboard/footboard I could purchase and bring home immediately, as we had guests arriving the next day. Isaac did not have anything available there. He called me back a couple minutes later and said they had a few iron beds at the store in Wheaton. We went there and worked with Fazil, who coordinated with Isaac. They gave us a fabulous price on the bed, and had someone come take it apart and deliver it and set it up for us. I went to Mattress Warehouse in May, 2018. Lee assisted me in selecting a mattress. His service was quite good. However, after 2 months the mattress began making noises and showed signs of sagging on the right side. I called Mattress Warehouse and they sent someone out to verify. The report was done. The mattress was found to be defective. I was sent a letter allowing me to replace; I went into the store on labor day and was told by an Afrikan man, immediately upon arriving to come back Monday as they were too busy. This really upset me, that a clerk would speak to a customer so disrespectfully. Anyway, he copied the letter. I went back the next week and once again he was, disrespectfully, in the store speaking with someone about his inter-county connection bill. He didn't show any interest in assisting me. When I asked questions he wouldn't answer as he was too distracted. I called the corporate office twice and complained. They seemed pretty nonchalant but told me they would forward the information and the person would be notified. I was told to go to another store,even though the Afrikan man told me I had to use their store. Here it is October, 2018 and I'm told to go to another store. Customer service is really down at Mattress Warehouse. They really don't care how I as a customer should be treated. This is unacceptable. If Lee had handled my order I would have rated higher. Recently moved and was shopping for all new furniture. Bought a mattress here, went home, was shopping around and saw the same mattress on their website for $400 less. Went back to the store and asked why I was overcharged by $400. I was told "that's the cost of the box spring" (which I initially told the sales person I didn't need but he insisted was already "included"). Just admit you got caught trying to increase your cut of the commission but don't insult my intelligence. What box spring cost $400? The two stars review is because the mattress is actually AWESOME but my advice is test in-store and buy online. read more

Never purchase anything from this company. They have the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. I purchase mattress that I was told was a memory foam mattress when in fact it was not. This may have been a misunderstand between me and the sales person however they have done nothing to fix the issue. I called customer service and they said they would call me back later that day and they never did. I called back the next day and a supervisor told me he would have a district manager call me and hung up on me. He didn't even want to listen to my issue. A plus later 4 phone calls to one district manager and 3 to another no one has called me back. I am not sure what to do with this company. They have zero interest making things right. We came in after a snow day, and their front glass was broken. Inside of the store was as cold as it was outside. Surprised that the store owner made the workers work in this harsh condition because it was probably 18 degrees outside with high wind. Anyways, the salesman was very nice explaining everything and met our needs in finding our new bed. We weren't comfortable with the price that they were offering and they didn't offer free shipping. We had open mind coming back, but we didn't because we found much better deal from elsewhere with more perks. My fiancé and I came into this store because of the nice sales going on. We were helped by Emmanuel who was very professional and assisted us greatly. The issue has been with the delivery of the Bed-set we purchased because for some reason the product is broken on delivery. This has happened twice ( 2 days of missed work and plans on hold for a delivery). I called the store and made them aware that I would like a refund. Consumers BEWARE! Mattress Warehouse has been a nightmare from the beginning. They lured us in by offering a free iPad, then refused to honor their offer, even though the terms of our purchase were exactly as stated in the advertisement. They also told us that our mattress had a 120-day in-home guarantee, but when we tried to return the mattress, they refused to give our money back. They even fought internally - the customer service department assured us that we could get a refund, but the store manager (Curt) and the regional manager (Sparta) refused and said we could only get an exchange. This was the worst place I have shopped. The woman working there stood up from her desk and then sat down while I asked questions. She quoted me a price and told me the manager could give me even better. Immanuel walks in (the manager) he gives a higher price. He was extremely arrogant and worried about the shake he had just purchased rather than customer service. I left because I felt it was unethical that I was being quoted two different prices. The woman stated that she was new. I am so confused. I can not believe the business is so different from the reviews. I bought a i Comfort mattress with a box spring and metal frame on 01/01/2016. As of today, 02/16/16, the box spring has broken twice!!! The first time it broke, I submitted at warranty clam form and revived a email within the hour and a new box spring with in two days. Everything went fine until 02/12/16 when the box spring broke again in the middle of the night!! When I submitted a new form on the 12th, i got no response. After reading the "fine print" it could take up to 30 days for someone to review my form....wtf. So after sleeping on the couch on Friday the 12th, I called customer service and was on hold for 20 minutes three times! Today Monday the 15th, I call the store where I bought the mattress from and they tell me they are just looking at my form and are going to get to it later in the day. I am completely dissatisfied with both the store and customer service. I'm now waiting for someone to call me back and help me. Lost me and my family's business forever read more
