So happy with my new mattress, sheets, and pillow and the fast free delivery!! I am not the most wealthy person and I definitely broke my expected budget when I came here, so be prepared to spend in the $1-2k range. Don't waste your time anywhere else. Come straight here. And when you do, don't expect a beautiful, fancy showroom. That's not this place. Travis took care of me. He was knowledgeable, patient and gave me a great deal on two sets of good, but off-brand mattresses. Even got them delivered to me the same day for a great price! Sidenote: the delivery guy is a single delivery guy. He can sling those mattresses and box springs, but he's just one guy with cumbersome pieces to work with. I guess they keep the costs down that way. That said, dragging and tossing new merchandise isn't a good idea. One of my box springs had some slight damage on it by the time he was finished. I ended up helping him take stuff upstairs, 'cause he would've dragged it otherwise. He also was a little too chatty asking questions about my place. He noticed everything and asked questions about everything. In any other situation, I'd think he was making note to come back and rob me. Still, I'm giving Mattress Outlet 5 stars. Their prices and overall service are that good. Just be prepared to help the delivery guy (who does NOT set up, ha ha)!

We purchased a custom loveseat in October 2024, delivered in December 2024, along with a 5-year extended warranty. Our salesperson, Derek, told us this was the best quality product they sell and assured us that durability would not be an issue. Problems began immediately. During the initial warranty period, the entire unit had to be replaced because the leather arrived with razor cuts from unpacking. After the replacement, service had to return again to replace the reclining mechanism. The loveseat continued to experience structural issues under normal residential use. In September 2025, after another failure, we were told to file a warranty claim, which conflicted with what Derek had told us at purchase about how warranty issues would be handled. From the time the claim was filed, it took over three months for a third-party technician to inspect the loveseat. During that period, Red Barn sent their own technician, who stated there was nothing wrong, despite the ongoing problems. The warranty company later said required images had not been received, yet neither the warranty company nor Red Barn contacted us by phone or email to request them. When a third-party technician finally inspected the loveseat, it was determined to be not repairable. Despite this, the service manager, Grayson, continued to delay resolution and suggested another repair with no timeline. As of January 2026, we are left with a broken loveseat and no meaningful resolution. This was not an inexpensive or entry-level purchase, and the lack of accountability after the sale has been extremely frustrating. Based on our experience, I would be very cautious about purchasing furniture here, especially anything custom or heavily upsold on quality and warranty coverage.

Service agents tell us that they will look into it and get back to us. With the exception of one rep, no one has ever called us back. We have been told many things -- the order was sent to the delivery place and then lost, the headboard never arrived to the delivery company, they would deliver the bed and mattress without the headboard, etc. Every rep seemed to have a different explanation. Meanwhile, we have spent several thousand dollars on a bed, mattress and headboard that were never delivered. They were gone so fast I couldn't catch them and make them come back. When I got back home, they had piled all of the beds in my downstairs bedroom on their sides!!! The split king box springs which are two twins, they had put upstairs. They did not even try to take the king mattress upstairs where I had told them to put it. They also didn't even try to take the queen mattress or box springs upstairs! I had not even showed them my downstairs bedroom or ever suggested they put them in my room! They claimed the king size mattress wouldn't fit upstairs. They didn't even try to take them upstairs!!! Now I can't even get into my room. These two huge mattresses and box springs have been pushed into my room with no consideration of how I am supposed to get in and get my clothes. P There had previously been queen size beds upstairs so I know they would have fit! Sauntering into the store, I come up to the desk with the employee and tell her what I wanted. "I'm sorry, we don't have that model in right now." The lady apologized and quickly looked up the surrounding stores to see which had the model in. You've got to be kidding me, I thought. Clearly not her fault, just bad luck on my part. She told me that they had one at the Southside store and that it was an additional 40 minutes away. I told her I was down from the DC area and I asked if she could give me directions. She took pity apparently and called the delivery truck who was making rounds around the Richmond area and they drove all the way back to their Southside store, picked up my mattress and box springs and then delivered it to the store I was at. No charge. Just to save me some hassle and time. Since it was pouring, they scrounged together additional plastic covers to help cover my purchase and did a quick tie down that would hold until I could buy some real tie downs at the Home Depot just down the street. Fast Forward a few hours and I'm back home, panting from carrying up that damned heavy mattress up the stairs to my apartment and I get an odd 804 area code number. It was the employee calling just to see if I got back to Alexandria safe and sound without having the mattress fly off on I-95. Great customer service, friendly sales associate and deliverymen, and great follow up. Not to mention the new mattress and box springs on my king bed is amazing and I sleep like...well a king now.
