She didn't greet, say hello or thank you after I ask her why she rate herself a 9 and she said nothing, she just looked at me stone faced. This us the first bad experience I experience in a five below store and I came out my way to this location to get a better experience and with this managers professionalism. She needs to be re evaluated and possible demoted because she has no people skills. With my neighborhood Dollar Tree closed down after being targeted by looters; this location is an…read moreoption for me because it is on a route I frequent on a weekly/ bi-weekly basis from the Des Plaines River Trail where I run. Like myself, I imagine that many other Chicagoans flock to this location since most locations are shut down on the west-side of Chicago. I want to point out that parking is horrendous at this location in general. There is certainly not enough parking for the amount of customers it serves on a daily basis. I always find myself either contemplating on parking illegal or just leaving because parking is so lackluster in an already confined space. And its parking lot is shared with several other known businesses which makes this shopping center a handful at peak hours of the day. Not sure what this space used to be, but it appears to be a tad small in comparison to other Dollar Tree locations I have visited. I typically visit solely when I am in need of toilet paper, or maybe even a drink after my run, but I can always count on finding hygiene essentials like body wash, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant and many more items when I am low. In spite of how congested this Dollar Tree can get due to it being one of the few near the west-side of Chicago, I have always received good customer service and found what essentials I needed which is what keeps me returning. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

This was by far the worst Ace Hardware experience I have ever had. I went in to purchase 6 screws…read moreto complete an installation of something I had purchased. I asked for help from the helpful hardware man. I believe I was helped by the store manager, who was asking me questions like he was the customer and I was the employee. Why do you need 6 screws when it came with 12. Do you need 3/4 ? I don't know what is 35mm? Eventually, we both decided what screw that I needed, and I proceeded to make my way to check out. I saw that there was a sponge for 3.99 note in corner that this sponge has been priced 3.99 since 2/22. Not a bad price so I go to buy the sponge and screws. The lady checks me out and sponge rings up 4.59 And I immediately say wait the sponge is like 389 or 399. It's definitely under four dollars. She replies it rang up 4.59 so that's what it is. I said well if you would go look your price is marked differently. She said I can just tell you that this is what it rang up and this is how much it cost. I did buy it because I needed the sponge, but I went back and took a picture and showed the manager the same manager that helped me with the screws who is not far from the cash register and they both left about the fact that I went and showed them that it was 399 and she charged me 4.59. And said oh well Scott needs to fix the prices looks like Scott missed this one oh well. I don't know why they think that they're entitled to 50 extra cents. I just think it's shameful and there's plenty of Ace Hardware's. That have way better attitudes. If you're looking for a helpful hardware person do not go to this Ace Hardware
