Mike Dunford of the cockeysville, MD location is the store manager with exceptional service all around. have fibromyalgia and he knew exactly what I needed for comfort and support. He narrowed down my months of searching online and speaking to representatives that aren't knowledgeable and therefore not helpful. He then showed me 3 mattresses within my budget. He was able to save me money and time. Mike is a rare gem and he is that 1% that truly is an exceptional salesman with honesty. Came here hoping to find a new mattress and we could not be happier. We spent the 4 minutes it took to do the Bed Match test and found a few options that were a match for our individual profiles. Tyler was incredibly helpful and never felt like he was try to "sell us". We found one we really loved and the manager Barb made sure we got the best possible price and honored the military discount (That always keeps me as a customer). We are going home happy! First let me state I should have read the fine print and I highly recommend any customer at this store READ THE FINE PRINT before making a purchase. Bottom line, IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE DELIVERED PRODUCT, YOU ARE STUCK WITH IT. I have since learned nearly EVERY OTHER MANUFACTURER has some form of "if you're not satisfied.." type of return policy, not Mattress Warehouse. I purchased a mattress and what was delivered feels entirely delivered looks like the one in the store but feels like a wooden slab. I called Lindsay the manager immediately and she said (and I quote...)..." place it on the floor and walk it whenever you can, this will release the memory foam". Seriously, that was her explanation and professional advice. She also told me she would call her regional management and see if there is any other options. As I write this review, it has been one month to the day and I have never heard a single word from her or the company. Lastly, the 2 "gentlemen" that delivered the mattress did a fine job setting up etc. But, one asked to use my powder room (which happens to be off the family room). The individual didn't fully close the door nor lift the seat- need I say more? I'll stop expecting a phone call and assume Mattress Warehouse and manager Lindsay will continue to be content delivering mediocre service with sub-par products. read more

Have purchased TWO SERTA mattresses from MATTRESS WAREHOUSE and both mattresses have failed to live up to the claims. When I asked management for the cash instead of store credit toward a 3rd mattress, I was told to sue the manufacturer SERTA. read more

Awful experience. The delivery drivers showed up 2 hrs late then damage my wall and tried to sneak out ! Spoke to Tom the regional manager he could care less . Then we find out our mattress is miscut (store verified ) they are refusing to refund my 4, 000 $ for the problems and defective product. Stay away from this place . Tom is rude , unapologetic and has no clue how to handle a problem. Warning others if you have a problem you are stuck ! A total disaster on the customer service front. The initial visit was great, Lauren spent a lot of time explaining options and getting us a king setup we liked. That was the last of the good experience. Delivery guys got there, broke down the current bed and claimed they saw a dead insect on the bottom of the bed and would not remove it and put it in their truck. Having already paid the removal fee, I said fine, take it out of the bedroom and put it in my pickup so I can haul it, they refused and left. Went to the store to cancel the order and Lauren, with the approval of her manager told me to get a removal company to haul it, they would pay for it and refund the fee I had already paid and have the new setup delivered on the day the old was hauled out. That was arranged and the bed was delivered and set up but there were no brackets to attach the headboard which we had specifically discussed with Lauren. The whole bed has to be taken down to install the brackets. Back to the store where another sales person with the district manager on the line promised to get the brackets at no charge and send someone out to install them the next week. The next week came and went, no brackets no reimbursement. Went back to the store and was told by Lauren she knew nothing about the deal but she would get to the bottom of it and call me. She called several days later to say they had the brackets but could not install due to the Covid 19 crisis, even though they were delivering and installing beds at the time. I picked the brackets up and installed them but after one rude phone call with the district manager and several email exchanges with their financial person, it is now more than a month and no reimbursement or refund has been forthcoming. I will clearly have to take legal action to get my $374.15, so be very careful about doing business here. read more

Cancelled an order less than 24 hours after placed and paid in full. Over 5 weeks with no refund. Local store and corp. office offered no help/resolution Purchase Date: 8/3/2015 Problem Date 8/4/2015 Payment Amount $1885.74 I placed an order and paid for a mattress set, frame, headboard, and mattress cover on 8/3/15 at 8pm. I cancelled the order the next morning to comply with their advertised "No Hassle 24 Hour Cancellation Policy". The salesman on that day (not the same person that I placed the order with), Dave Price, made several attempts to get me to do something other than cancel the order and berated me when he implied that I was canceling because I wanted to "shop around". He finally told me he would send the cancel request to his DM, per company policy, but could not provide anything official that showed initiation of the cancellation and refund. I wanted some sort of documentation. Finally, he wrote "refund process starts 8/4/15 Dave Price" on my receipt. I received my CC statement on 8/24 and the charge had not been refunded. I went back to the store on 8/25 to then be told "it could take up to 3 weeks for a refund". 8/25 marked 3 weeks. Salesman Dave Price gave me the phone number for the corporate office and said for me to call there. No other offer to help find a resolution, though he expressed that it did seem to be taking a long time. I decided to wait and give the refund time to process. I had faith that it would go through, that this long standing business could be trusted. I called corporate/Customer Service early on 8/8. "Myrtle" answered and told me she didn't have the required paperwork, that she'd call the local store and find out what was going on. I asked her to call me back and let me know what she found out. Gave my contact info and all the order info to her. As of 8/9, no update call from Myrtle or anyone with Mattress Wharehouse. I called customer service multiple times on 8/9. No answer, only the option to leave a voicemail. I called the local store for assistance, hoping someone there would have another contact or possibly make a call from within the company to help resolve the issue. Dave Price answered and told me to call the corporate office AGAIN but to press zero to get through. Mind you, this is not a prompt you hear when you call, but Dave assured me that "even" he had to do that when calling corporate. Dave Price also told me that he couldn't help me, that he doesn't work in customer service. Perhaps not officially, but I do believe it is within a salesperson's role, to provide customer service. Dave Price would not give me any other telephone number than the one on the website and "couldn't" provide the name or number of the district manager, who is the one that supposedly has to implement the refund process. At this point, it has been OVER 5 WEEKS and still NO REFUND to my credit card. The "Customer Service" at both the corporate office and the local store has been one pass off to the next. I finally got through to Myrtle again on 8/9. When I asked to speak with her supervisor I was told he "has no direct telephone number" and was "headed to a meeting". Myrtle did give me the name of the District Manager, Winston, and his extension number, but all I got was the option to leave a voicemail. She told me that was "all she could do". 5 and a half weeks and my credit card is still not credited with the purchase price. read more
