Overall, a shockingly good experience and we'd recommend Imtiaz to anyone. No pressure from Imtiaz as a salesman, he hit the sweet spot of answering all of our questions but also reading the room and not being overly talkative or pushy. He was informative, friendly, and helpful but not 'salesman-y' if that makes sense. The whole purchase experience went quickly and easily, and the price was fine. Delivery was pretty convenient, and the price of removing the old mattress and box spring were way cheaper than some of the other places we'd looked ($20/per piece). We got the delivery window the night before, as we'd been told to expect, and the delivery guys showed up right at the beginning of the window (always appreciated). They were plenty quick, and while they were a little rushed, they didn't damage anything so I can't really complain. When the bed and base was delivered I was working so my wife had to accept delivery. My wife let the delivery people in and pointed them to the bedroom where the bed was to be set up. It wasn't until after the fact that both my wife and I noticed the bed and base do not fit, King Size bed and base. Turns out when it was set up my bedroom wall unit was partly disassembled. The night stands were separated from the unit to make room. Both night stands' glass tops were also moved to make room and could not be put back on. When I got off of work and noticed I thought it would be an easy fix since Winston said I could change my purchase if needed. The next day I called and spoke with Imtiaz to explain that the bed and base do not fit and that I need a California King instead of a King. Imtiaz said he would swap out the bed for $100 +$20 delivered but that he would not swap out the base and that I would have to buy a new base. The new base he told me I need is $799.99 so the total would be $919.99 +tax to swap out the bed and base. I reminded Imtiaz that part of why Mattress Warehouse won my business was because Winston assured me if I was unhappy with my purchase that I could swap it out for the $100 fee +$20 per piece. Imtiaz said that he couldn't do that so I asked him to please check with Winston since this was a reassurance from him. Imtiaz said he would check and call me back. That was on 05/17/22, the day after delivery, but he never called me back. 2 days later I went to the store again but Imtiaz said he was working on it and would get back to me, still nothing. I waited ~1 week and since I did not receive a response I called again on 05/23/22. Imtiaz told me Winston or corporate would call me back, I still have not received a call back. I called again on 5/31/22 and spoke with Bonny who told me he would relay my message to Winston. He assured me that Winston would call me back and make it right but, still to this day, nothing. I do not need a refund or anything I just need to swap out my purchase for one that fits in our bedroom as I was told I could do. I will reassemble the bedroom unit myself. I am very surprised at how we are being treated. I expected to come back and purchase more beds for our other rooms but this is a very bad customer experience. Do NOT shop here. I'm only giving this place one star because you have to in order to post a review. I purchased a Tempurpedic Cloud Prima back in September. They delivered the wrong mattress, which I've been sleeping on for three months. Admittedly, that's 50% my fault for not checking, but when you pay a store $2K you figure they can deliver the right mattress. The store schedules your delivery date but can't tell you a time of day to expect it; that comes the night before (around 10 pm) from the actual delivery company (from an email you can't respond to). I took a day off work for the original delivery, so I'm already down one day's pay. After three months on what I now know is a Tempurpedic Contour Elite, I went back into the store complaining about how firm the mattress is. After talking to Tiffany (special thanks to Tiffany for eating her Popeyes Chicken in front of me while I was placing my order), I spent another $1K to upgrade from what I thought was my original mattress to a softer one. I took another day off work to await that delivery. When that mattress was delivered, we realized I had been sleeping on the wrong mattress. Again, 50% my fault. But the delivery guys wouldn't take the mattress since it didn't match their paperwork, so they left, meaning I'm now down two day's pay and still sleeping on the wrong mattress. I realized I didn't need to upgrade to a softer mattress since I'd never actually slept on the mattress I originally ordered, so I asked to cancel that order and refund my money. I still haven't received that $1K. But I did set up a delivery for today, Saturday, December 23rd, to receive the correct mattress. Ali, the store manager, set it up a week ago. Except, here we are on Saturday, and NO DELIVERY. No email the night before, and when I called the store as soon as it opened today, Ali's explanation was that the delivery customer service was closed until Tuesday for Christmas. And that the mattress wasn't being delivered because they don't do swaps on Saturday, only new deliveries. Upon hearing this, I told Ali I just want my entire original purchase refunded, this mattress removed from my house, and I'll shop elsewhere. However, he's now refusing to refund me, saying it's been too long since my original purchase. Forget that I've never slept on the mattress I actually purchased, I'm not allowed to return it. I'm still waiting for his boss to call me with an explanation. Meanwhile, all Ali can promise is delivery NEXT Saturday, since I'm refusing to take any more days off work to accommodate this garbage. So there you have it. This store will sell you a mattress, deliver you the wrong one, throw their hands up in the air when the third-party delivery team doesn't do its job, and then refuse to refund you for poor service or failure to provide the correct item. And, they'll eat dinner in front of you at their desk while you give them money. In other words, shop literally anywhere else. read more

Feeling mislead and lied to Purchased a nectar mattress from mattress warehouse and was told nectar would guarantee the sleep comfort of the mattress. Nectar said that was a lie and could not honor their comfort guarantee on a mattress sold by a retailer. What was the most frustrating was that mattress warehouse would not honor what their salesmen told us. I know ... fine print but you trust your salesman. Now I am stuck with purchasing a replacement + extra delivery fee + disposal fee. I will not shop at a mattress warehouse again. If I could leave zero Stars believe me I would. My mother and I visited the store, shopped around for the right mattress and bedframe. When we found what we were looking for we proceeded with our purchase. First of all we spent over $1,000 on a mattress. The sales guy (whom is a white, tall man) promised us a certain bedframe that we specifically had requested when making our purchase. He promised us that the one we specified would be delivered. The same day the mattress was delivered we realized that we were given the wrong bed frame and we contacted the store that same day. I had notified another sales representative what the error was and they stated that the manager was not on site and to call the next day which we did. The sales manager (Indian guy) then told us that we would have to speak to the sales representative and follow up with him. We called that following week (because we made our purchase on a Saturday) and we were informed the guy who conducted our sale was on vacation. We have done tried contacting this same representative after a week, then two weeks and then over the course of a month with nothing but the runaround trying to get in contact with the original sales representative. Several trips to the store were made and this sale guy never came back. We were then told to go to another store to pick up the bedframe we originally wanted and they referred us back to the store we made our purchase at. Aside from being annoyed at always being given the constant runaround, what's more disappointing is that the STORE MANAGER was no help whatsoever trying to help resolve a customer issue. My mother went to the original store were the purchase was made and confronted the manager asking for the sales rep, apparently he no longer works there and the manager told us the promise of the bedframe that we requested was not going to be fulfilled (he was present the day we made the purchase and was aware of the specific details of the purchase). He then proceeded to yell at my mother claiming she was looking to get a bedframe for free. She told him we were given the wrong bedframe and we would have been more than happy to return the one we were given since it was removed from under the mattress the same day it was delivered. For the record we were given one of those common metal bedframes that creek everytime you get on or off the bed and that specific bedframe made the bed way much taller than the set that was at the store (the mattress model that was used for reference at the store sat much lower with the type of bedframe we were told we were getting. Not only did this dumb@ss treat my mom who's a paying customer so poorly, refused to remedy a mistake made by the store. I am highly disappointed and pissed off at the fact that the store manager had the audacity to treat my mother that way and yell in her face. I would strongly recommend going to another mattress warehouse as there are a couple locally close to the one on pickett st. The guys here are extremely disrespectful and the store manager won't give a sh*t about any mistakes they make. To the manager who treated my mom so disrespectful, you can go f*ck yourself for treating an older customer that way. You should be ashamed of yourself. read more

We purchased this mattress and was told it would arrive on Tuesday. I asked if I could pick it up that following Saturday. When I arrived with my "pay by the quarter hour" movers I was told the mattress was not there.The guy helping us that day, Phillip, was not concerned about our issue at all. Because of his IDGAF attitude we did a refund and left to purchase my mattress from Sam's club in Potomac Mills (I am very happy with the Sam's club purchase). His laxed attitude toward the manner confirmed for me that this probably happens often. A week later the money was never put back on my father's credit card. My father called the manager Tyrek moaz. He kept dodging my father. First it was I will call you back in two days, then one day, then eventually no calls. In the midst of this dodging the manager resent the refund....still we did not get the money back. I eventually went back to the store and the gentleman who originally sold me the mattress, Xavior, was very concerned and resent the refund. He then ensured he would contact me when the money was about to go through. He called and everything was handled 3 days later. The day I dealt with Xavior the employee, Phillip, was working as well. The whole time Xavior was handling my issue Phillip was sitting behind him, Popeye's chicken on his desk, legs crossed, and texting on his phone. He still was showing no concern for my issue. I told him how his demenor was a put off, his comeback still showed he could care less. Ultimately it took us 4 weeks to get our money back. It was a horrible experience. These guys are not mattress experts, they have to go back to a book to check every bit of information. They aren't concerned about your money (except Xavior), they treat you like crap. I'm not even sure how this location is even still open. Just stay away. read more

I came in the store and got a mattress, after initial break-in period of 30 days, it has been causing noticeable discomfort in the back, causing pain and forcing my girlfriend and myself to go to physical therapy When speaking to the store manager who sold me the mattress, he was immediately derisive and unhelpful, being massively disrespectful and said there was nothing he could do for an exchange. He was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional - he accused me of lying about the return policy he explained during the sale. He followed this up by rolling his eyes repeatedly, was confrontational and escalated the situation. Girlfriend brought up severity of physical harm and was chastised. He refused to help me unless I falsely admitted that he never explained a return policy to me, that he didn't pressure me into buying a mattress, and if I dropped the claim the mattress was physically damaging. When pressed, he said that he wouldn't be able to exchange it because he sold me the mattress for a 'good deal' - refusing to exchange it for something of equivalent market value. The mattress is sagging and seems to be defective. The mattress is branded as 'perfect back' and is doing anything but. I'm in the process of filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - this sort of behavior is unacceptable and should not be allowed at any level of business. read more

I went in to purchase my first mattress that I was paying for myself. I'm fresh out of college (whoot whoot class of '18), so I addressed that with Andre right away. Literally my first words were "I am fresh out of college, just got my first apartment and paid all my move-in fees, just bought a bed room set, and now I need a mattress that's less than $400." Andre took the time to ask about me as a person, including my daily life, exercise, job mobility, and my mattress preferences. Then, he ran a BedMATCH Diagnostic test- it's a censored mattress that suggest the type of mattress you need to best support your posture. It takes about 5 minutes and then it prints out an info-sheet that tells you what type of mattress you NEED, not what you WANT. I love firm mattresses, love love love, but that machine had me on extra fluffy. Andre then let me decide whether I wanted to continue with my firm preference, or at least try something less firm but not complete fluff. I'm clearly not an expert on mattresses, but I decided to try the BedMATCH's recommendations. I ended up really liking and purchasing the Parkview-Q-Matt (from BedMATCH) and it was decently below my budget. At no point did I feel rushed or unsure, as I tried at least five beds and I told Andre what I did and didn't like and he adjusted his selection accordingly. I had a GREAT time with Andre because he listened and cared about getting the perfect mattress at an affordable price. This place is ridiculous! We had done our research and decided to visit Mattress Warehouse on Pickett Street along with a competitor in our search for a new mattress. Our salesman was far too pushy, and we got the feeling right away that the prices where about double of what they were advertised as. On the up side, we did find a mattress there we were both happy with.. However, forgetting to bring a pen and piece of paper, I pulled out my phone and took a picture of the sales sticker. That's when the salesman politely told us that there were no pictures allowed. I politely replied that that was the most ridiculous thing I've heard, and we left. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MATTRESS WAREHOUSE LOCATION! Not sure the others are any better based on the delivery service I received, but the manager at this store defines horrible customer service. After online research, decided to start our mattress shopping at Mattress Warehouse. Pickett Street was the closest brick and mortar store location to test the mattresses and decide which we wanted to purchase online. After talking to the salesman fell for the pitch that it was better to buy in store since then we would know exactly what we were getting. Boy we know now! We got took and received a horrible customer experience throughout the delivery attempts and no support from the store either. Purchased an iComfort pillow top king size mattress, box spring, deluxe mattress cover and deluxe mattress frame...priced way above what we had expected to spend...fell for the sales pitch...really wish now that we had just walked out the door. Took a day off work for delivery scheduled on a Tuesday. They couldn't tell us the delivery time window until after 8am day of delivery...turned out to be between 1-4PM. At 1PM received call from delivery driver that one of the box springs was very damaged; well beyond what they would "normally" just offer a discount. (REALLY?....on a $3,000 bed you offer a discount on a damaged new mattress). He offered to deliver the rest of the bed (REALLY?) He apologized and told me I needed to call the store to reschedule another delivery date. Since I had already taken one vacation day for delivery, I wasn't excited about taking another. I called the store and was told that they couldn't reschedule until the truck returned to the warehouse sometime that night. They were very sorry, they couldn't offer any accommodation; i.e. guaranteed delivery time window. The salesman/store manager wasn't available that night. I was told he would be advised of what happened. I never received a call from him. The next date that I was available was over a week later on a Saturday. Again had to wait till 8am day of delivery for delivery window. This time delivery was to be between 2-5PM. When driver arrived, I learned that he was not allowed to remove my old bed...the salesman had told me that they would set up my old bed in my guest room. After much discussion, the driver agreed, against company policy to move the mattress only, to the guest room; but not the box spring or frame and not set up. When he brought in the deluxe bed frame it was discovered that the parts were not for a king bed frame. He called the warehouse to inform the manager and handed the phone to me. The manager asked me what was wrong (REALLY?) I refused the bed frame and the driver suggested setting up the new bed on my old, but perfectly fine bed frame. I was instructed to contact the store to again arrange for another delivery date for the deluxe bed frame (REALLY?) I've just returned from the Pickett Street store where I spoke with the original salesman/store manager. Not one apology for my inconvenience . When I requested cancellation of the deluxe bed frame, he icily processed the request and informed me that the refund would be handled by home office and take 1-2 weeks to credit my account. When I asked if they had a standard king frame in stock that we could take home with us rather than wait for deliver, they had one for $149, which they were able to sell to us and charge immediately. When I mentioned how embarrassed I was about asking the delivery men to move the old bed and learning that it was against company policy; he said it wasn't. I told him the warehouse manager I was asked to speak with had confirmed, that it was, in fact, against company policy. Again, no apology. When I asked if their current sales promotion offer for iSeries (discount and free box spring set) applied to my purchase, he said no; the mattress type we purchased wasn't included. read more

I went in to test out mattresses on Saturday. I explained to the saleswoman that I hated my current mattress and wanted to see what other options were out there. She showed me a few different options, and I really liked one of them. But, when it came time for me to go she got really pushy. She started offering me lots of deals and freebies. I didn't have time to actually receive delivery of a new mattress anytime soon, except on the upcoming Monday. When she said she could have it delivered on Monday, I was sold. I really liked the mattress. She threw a bunch of extra "freebies" in (which actually weren't free - she subtracted the price of the pillows, for example, from the price of the mattress. This would have screwed me if I wanted to do a comfort exchange for another mattress because the price I paid for the mattress had been lowered significantly to compensate for the "freebies."). But - I didn't really care because the mattress was really comfortable and I was going to get it on Monday. Monday morning, my only day off for awhile, came and went without a call from the delivery guy. I called the store to ask when I could expect delivery and the guy who answered told me that the saleswoman called me on Sunday to tell me that they didn't have the boxspring in stock and therefore couldn't make the delivery. I never received a call on Sunday: no call and no voicemail. Irritated, I told him that this was literally the only day in the near future that I could be home to accept shipment. He offered me $300 off if I took shipment another day. I told him I would come to the store for a refund. When I arrived at the store, he offered me $700 (yes - SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS) to accept delivery at another date. Meanwhile, the saleswoman who sold me the mattress sat in her chair playing on her computer and refused to look at me. They finally put in the paperwork for a refund, which I am entitled to - since nothing was delivered as it was supposed to be. Long story short: go elsewhere. These people will promise you the moon and then they literally won't be able to deliver it. They are unprofessional. Don't waste your time. read more

After keeping my old mattress for ages I finally went to the Alexandria location for mattress. I was looking into nice size queen with comfortable pillows. Ali who works at the place helped me thru the whole process. I ended up walking away with the best mattress set. I purchased a mattress, which was determined to be defective. I was able to exchange it for a new mattress, but was told that I would be charged an additional $70 for transportation, which I could not even charge to the credit card that I processed through Mattress Warehouse. The salesman I dealt with, Terrence, was very helpful understanding. This, however, is not enough to go back to a company that provided me a defective mattress, and in addition wants to charge me $70.00 more for a mistake/defect that was not my fault. A result of the defective mattress is a back-ache that I have been suffering from, which has forced me to go get several masages and chiropractor appointments since I started sleeping on the mattress. Mattress Warehouse will never get any more business from me and I will not be recommending them. Their loss, not mine. So much for customer service. read more

We dealt with a guy, Ali, who was a nightmare. He gave us a general window of Saturday after Labor Day. By 4PM Saturday I had to call him. He said they are backed up and there won't be a delivery. I told him that wasn't acceptable. He came back with "what are you not understanding". If that's the way you need to be spoken to after wasting your entire day waiting for a good you paid for, by all means, this is your store. If you think that proactive and clear and professional communication is to be expected, go elsewhere. I called his DM, Karl, and left voicemail basically every day. No response. I called the corporate customer service and the lady I spoke with acted like she was baffled by my complaints and this entire experience was par for the course. I'm done dealing with these people. Avoid this place like the plague. Take your hard-earned dollars elsewhere. I had a horrible experience trying to buy one mattress there. I ordered one size, which they were out of. They said they would get one in within a week. After calling twice and being told it would be there "soon," and they would call me, I called today to find out that it was there, but no one bothered to call me. My husband picked up the mattress, brought it home, and guess what--it's the wrong size? After calling to let them know they gave us the wrong size, the guy first asks "oh--is that size too big for you"? If I had wanted that size, I would have ordered it!! Then he discovered that I had paid for the correct size, but the wrong size had been entered in "the paperwork." He was ready to hand up, with NO APOLOGY for the screw up, when I brought that to his attention. He said he would look into it further and have the person who did the paperwork call me. WTF? He can't issue a simple "I'm sorry" on behalf of his store's screw up?? Like I said, take your money elsewhere. These people don't deserve a dime. read more

I personally hate shopping, the thought of going into a store to buy something really gives me anxiety. On top of planning a wedding, my fiancé and I had to buy a new mattress for our bedroom. We initially wanted to buy a queen mattress, I didn't really know anything about what to look for in a good mattress. My fiancé and I went into this store and were immediately greeted by Ali. He was very helpful and not at all pushy. I used to work retail so I know how pushy sales associates can be.
