I won't say that these guys are shysters, but I certainly felt like I was buying a car on a cash…read morelot. We came to look for a mattress for my elderly father. Particularly, he wanted a full or twin that was medium firm. Now, this joint has pretty much every type of mattress you might be looking for (don't let the "Clearance Center" in its name mislead you), but they attempt to up-sell like nobody's business! While we were dealing with the salesman, some other employee walked in with a bag of to-go food, an all the employees seemed to be looking his way. I get it -- there's no lunch hour when you are a salesperson. But damn, guys! If you didn't try to upsell so much, we could've been out of there, an you would've had a commission ... and your Taco Bell! Bottom line: We thanked our guy and let him know that we were still looking (we ended up buying elsewhere). He was polite. Still, if you come here, expect an experience similar to that of a used car lot that takes weekly payments.

***Delivery Crew Danger***…read more I have achieved a new level of anger this evening, at the ineffective and lazy delivery men of AFW. On top of them throwing my couches, damaging my walls, being insanely rude to my wife, cursing, intimidating my wife about having to take pieces of our couch up a flight of stairs, and complaining the whole time they were here, I have now discovered that the American Furniture Warehouse delivery men helped me achieve a new level of CUSTOMER DISSATISFACTION, by not even actually assembling the couch! Please tell me what was the purpose of the delivery?! What the actual fudge is the delivery fee for?! I only discovered this after I heard squeaking and grinding as we tried to recline and sit. And when I pulled on the top of the seats they all came apart. I have no idea if there is damage now and I cant begin to express my anger enough. This is the 2nd time AFW has failed massively. I realized as i came here to leave this review they botched our delivery for my daughter's bedroom set 4 & 1/2 years ago. I had forgotten that, and inadvertently i have given them another chance. Its good to see they consistently fail. My mistake. Smh.

I purchased a mattress set from here in November on a Thursday and needed it delivered on Friday…read more The sales guys were nice and not pushy- very informative and helpful. However while I'm sitting at home Friday night waiting for my delivery- I call the store just to make sure its coming and the guy assures me it is. BUT it never does,. I call the next morning to find out why I sat home for 4-5 hours waiting and they tell me oh its scheduled for this evening (which was not convenient for me) I try and get them to push me ahead and have it there earlier in the day but they would not accommodate. The only reason I didn't cancel the order right then is I had a guest coming Sunday night and needed it.

"Grade A experience" I had been wanting to upgrade from my…read morememory foam mattress to something firmer for a while. I visited the Mattress Firm outlet on Pearland Parkway in early December. I was quite concerned about getting the measurements right, so that the new mattress would fit on my existing foundation/box springs. I also wanted to purchase a complete full-sized bedset (mattress/foundation/frame) for my guest room that would fit on an area rug that I had already purchased. Josh and Clayton were very helpful in making sure I had the right size(s), and they were very helpful with my purchases in general, making sure I purchased what I wanted (and not what I didn't want). Also, I was in and out of the store pretty quickly, no waiting or delays. For my bed, I bought a pre-owned Queen-sized Garrison Legends Extra Firm Mattress for half price (normally about $3k). For the guest room, I needed a complete bedset, and I purchased a PressureSmart Firm Mattress (Full), with foundation and frame, and mattress protector (about $900, all told). For my new queen-sized mattress, I also purchased the Supreme Comfort Queen Bundle with Queen Pillows, which included very nice pillows made of memory foam and sheet set with pillow cases, all made from bamboo; very nice. This was about $400, which I believe was another pricing special. We arranged for delivery about 10 days/two weeks out on a day I could be home, and everything went as planned. I received a text the night before indicating that the delivery would take place between 930 and 1130 am the next day; and the delivery crew showed up right at 930. The delivery crew was very efficient and careful, and took away my old mattress, and installed the new queen mattress where it had been; and then they completed the fabrication and installation of my full-sized bedset in the guest room. And, they were done very quickly, in about 10 minutes. My sleep quality has significantly improved with my new Queen-sized Garrison Legends Extra Firm Mattress. Thanks again to Josh and Clayton at the Pearland Parkway Mattress Firm for their help and professionalism.

DO NOT GO TO THE PEARLAND PARKWAY LOCATION BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU SLEEP ON THE FLOOR ONCE…read moreTHEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! This is by far the WORST mattress store to go to. The salesman kept trying to sell me more expensive items than what I wanted, and then couldn't figure out how to enter the sale in the computer. At the time of purchase I was not told that the base was on back order until right before it was to be delivered. I have been sleeping with my mattress on the floor for 3 weeks now, and unless I want to pay another $600 for the more expensive base, I'll be on the floor for however long it takes to get them in according to the manager named Trey that I spoke to when I called. I even asked about returning the mattress and getting a refund, and she that I could do that, but it's going to cost me an additional $250 return fee. I then asked for the number to corporate or even the district manager, and she said she doesn't give out that info and she would have to send an email to them and I would have to wait possibly another week for them to respond to her, and then she would let me know what they said. So basically I'm SOL unless I want to spend more money to correct their mistake.

Do NOT purchase a mattress from Mattress Firm unless you'd like to be extremely mislead about the…read morewarranty the mattress you're buying comes with. We purchased an intellibed back in 2018. We were told if ANYTHING goes wrong with this mattress it comes with a 20 year warranty. Fast forward to present day, and our mattress is sagging horribly and creaking worse everyday. We open a warranty claim, but it is denied. Why? Due to "inadequate frame support". What is "inadequate frame support"? No idea, because the 'terms' of their warranty don't define this or elaborate whatsoever. This is simply a loophole for them to be able to deny your warranty claim. Our frame is most definitely not inadequate. We are using intellibed box springs and a top of the line bed frame from one of the top furniture stores in the Houston area, definitely not inadequate. When I try calling mattress firms corporate offices the line rings and rings. I was also hung up on. I emailed them and have not received a response or explanation. Disappointed is an understatement. We spent over $8,000 on a bed and got 5 years out of it. Take your money elsewhere.
